“In the Flesh”
I rushed this one to get it done in time for Kathryn’s birthday. Drawing teeth is a nightmare, but I’m pretty happy with how the smile turned out. It’s definitely better than it was.

im imagining the first spring since voyager got back to the alpha quadrant and it's kathryn's birthday and she's not planning on doing anything for it really, just enjoying the fact that she gets to be at her mom's house in indiana and there's exactly zero chance of a red alert and then the whole voyager crew shows up because there's no way they were going to forget the captain's birthday and they've been planning this with her mom unbeknownst to her for months and they're all eating cake and playing games in the backyard and hanging out and they're home and they're safe

voy ep. 2x15: threshold is top tier terrible trek
harry and b’elanna entertaining tom’s silly little theories. neelix not quite understanding warp 10. tom still going through with warp 10 despite the risks. captain kathryn “fuck it, we ball” janeway making a classic “tom, what’s going on out there?” call followed by tom screaming. tom hyper-evolving into a lizard creature and the doctor calling him ugly for it. tom going into lizard heat or something and kidnapping janeway who also goes lizard mode and they have lizard babies. chakotay hunting down his lizard crush and lizard crewmate only to shoot them and abandon their offspring. the doctor somehow fixing lizard janeway and lizard tom. the Look janeway gives tom when she remembers. let’s forget the lizard babies, roll credits.
6/10 in the grand scheme, 10/10 for comedic effect. everyone for this episode gets a 10/10 for either turning into a lizard or fixing the lizards, except for chakotay who gets a 0/10 for abandoning the lizard babies on a random planet in the delta quadrant.

In honour of her birthday, here is every picture I've drawn of Kathryn Janeway so far:
Some of these are better than others, and the Arachnia one isn't finished yet. (That dress is going to be the death of me.)
Anyway, Happy Birthday Kathryn Janeway!!
More about the drawings under the cut:
1. My first (and only) "normal" drawing of Janeway. In other words, the first drawing I did of her in my regular style using a screencap where she's just herself without anything weird going on. It was done on my iPad. I have yet to do a "normal" drawing of her using pencil and paper which is my preferred medium. I have a version of this drawing without the background, but my friend and I agreed it helped pull the drawing together because the drawing itself was so dark.
2. Cadet Janeway! The first drawing I ever did of her. The actual drawing looks better than this picture of it. I do like this one, but I'm going to try to make a better one sometime.
3. This one was my first attempt at drawing on my iPad using colour. I really wanted to try a drawing with colour, but I didn't know what to do. I realised a cartoon character would be easiest, and I really liked the colours of Dark Holo Janeway. Particularly the eyes. I'm really pleased with this one.
4. Second attempt at colour. This time using a picture of live action Janeway as reference. I'm not as pleased with it because I still haven't quite figured everything out, but I love the confetti.
5. I wanted to draw Janeway being dramatic as Arachnia. I think that about sums it up. Anyway, it's not actually finished yet, and the dress is slowly driving me insane.
