Evangeline Marie G. (Guzman) Lakandula - Ah yes, my soft, anxious babie with self-worth issues. She comes from a messy background with a horrible father. She was close to her late (paternal) grandparents and had a very complicated relationship with her late mother. One of her relatives shes v close to is her older cousin, Ethan.
She's a college dropout thanks to her father's bad choices and worked the moment she had a chance to.
After her mother passed, that was it for Evangeline. She kinda needed to go away from her dad and his loud voice and other issues. So she left home and Ethan helped her out before he left for a business trip abroad.
He had her go to a house he owned in Laguna where she could live in provided she just do the cleaning in there. She found simple work that she was qualified for and that was her life for the next few years until a certain bachelor party came into her life.
Diwa Kalangitan M. (Masangga) del Rosario - My chaotic good and very protective MC who definitely rabbleroused in the school she works in.
She was raised in a household that follows some precolonial beliefs and traditions. She has a stepfather who's an albularyo and two half-siblings. One is studying in college, the other is still in high school. She has a close relationship to both her parents.
And she is rather happy with her job as a teacher in a private school. Sure she sometimes goes against curriculum to make sure the kids enjoy her lessons. She's a class advisor also so when she found out their math teacher humiliated one of her students, she confronted said teacher.
Her trip to America is really just a birthday trip until the events of the book started. In the end she ends up in a poly relationship with Nik and Cal. (She does end up pointing out to the boys that she'll have to go back to her work and family at least just to properly resign and find work near them and also to assure her family she's safe.)
Maya Chelidonia C. (Caacbay) dela Rosa - The local tired detective who had to move abroad for their own safety. Love them SM.
Maya is the child of Jaime dela Rosa, a cop in the Philippines who does not follow in corrupt practices and tries to do right by the community. He was killed after coincidentally seeing signs of corruption in the force and wanting to expose it.
After their father's death, Maya also followed in his footsteps. On their end, they wanted to try and do some good in their job but ended up experiencing some discrimination in the work force. Enter them finding the same evidence of corruption that their father found as well. This time they managed to expose the corruption but in the end, one of their few friends in the force warned them that they'll have to flee the country due to some v angry officials.
So they fled with their mother and younger sister.
Their sister became a fashion designer. Maya found work as a private detective and the two teamed up to be able to live a decent life. Their sister travels with their mom on fashion shows. They're fine living nearby their maternal uncle with their dog, Spudge. (He's a scaredy cat and a lil crybaby who doesn't like strangers and by that I mean he starts crying when the strangers notice him. It's not out of trauma, he just likes Maya and their fam more than anyone else and is v shy with others. He's also scared of the dark and loud noises.)
Inocencia Honorata G. (Galang) Valenciano - and finally, my love's embarrassing bby. My Rafael Aveiro romancer. Love her sm.
She and her mom, older brother and little sister ran away from their father when they were a kid. Her parents annulled their marriage after a few years.
Her older brother became the youngest lawyer in the country and had a firm in New York seek him out. This led to him helping Inocencia and her sister (who had skipped grades and managed to enter college the same year as Inocencia).
Inocencia is v non-competitive that she chose De La Salle University while her sister went to their grandfatherโs alma mater, University of the Philippines. At college, Inocencia got dubbed as SiaSia because of the repeated -cia in her first name and surname.
The two got accepted into Edenbrook when they were gonna start. Inocencia being 27 and her sister being 25. By then, Inocencia still isn't competitive and didn't sign up for the competition for the diagnostics team but her little sister shoved her to try it out.

Rain pattered against the windowsill as Chan desperately tried to get some sleep. Everything that day had been preventing him from enjoying some well-deserved rest. Being a leader certainly wasn't easy.
He assumed the others were bored, some more than others considering he could hear loud cackles from both Changbin and Lee Know, who were clearly on the receiving end of some wrecking sessions.
The kangaroo could barely sleep. Oh why was Binnie's laughing so damn loud?! He was aware that they knew he needed some rest, cause clearly THAT'S why he hasn't been targeted yet.
Just when Chan was finally about to fall asleep, he heard the familiar creek of his bedroom door opening.
Chris groaned. "What is it?" He asked Hyunjin as the younger closed the door and seated himself on the kangaroo's bed.
"I know you need some rest hyung, but I kinda really need cuddles. RIght now." Hyunjin sniffled through his sentence.
"Of course. What's wrong Hyune?" Chan asked gently.
"I-I just feel sad, hyung. I don't know why. But I do" Hyunjin confessed, burying his head into the older's chest, absentmindedly tracing shapes into the skin of Chan's stomach.
Chan's breath hitched and he breathed in deeply. He know that if he opened his mouth, he was screwed.
It tickled way too badly and the kangaroo could feel himself breaking as Hyunjin's fingers squished near his belly button.
"hyuhunjin stohop thahat." Chris commanded through his giggles. However, the fingers didn't stop.
"Hm? Oh, I don't think so..." The ferret hummed. Chan could feel the smirk on the younger's face as he lifted his arm and traced lightly around the kangaroo's armpit.
Poor Chris immediately burst into loud giggles, squirming lightly as joy filled the room. His smile was contagious, and Hyunjin couldn't help but smile back.
The older was clearly too lazy to pull his arm down, so he let the younger continue his journey around his torso and sides, wiggling his fingers into the muscles of his tummy, fingering his ribs, and scribbling over his armpit.
Soon enough, the leader's stamina wore down, and he started hiccupping in between his giggles. Hyunjin took this as his cue to stop, gently draping his hyung's arm around his waist.
The two sleepy boys promptly fell asleep, the warm atmosphere and the body heat from them enveloping them in a sense of solace as unconsciousness hugged them to sleep.

ยป this is apart of my 'MARK DRABBLE BDAY SPECIAL' event that i will be doing for his bday week. requests are OPEN for this.
ยป warnings: none. just some light kissing and touching. alcohol may be mentioned here and there.
โHappy birthday Mark!!โ The entirety of the room yells, party poppers bursting into the air, balloons being thrown at the culprit. Mark stands in the middle of the room gobsmacked at the scene, surrounded by family and friends that makes his throat tighten up from the emotional hit in his chest, but he sputters out a laugh when Haechan runs forward to slap on a neon green party hat on the top of his head.
He gets shoved into the crowd, some wrapping him up into celebratory hugs while others pinch his cheeks, cooing small words of affection that he appreciates gratefully despite the efforts he makes to push them away, his belly rumbling with laughter when Johnny easily swoops him up into a bone crushing hug and Taeyong slaps his bottom.ย
It doesnโt take Mark long to find you, standing away at the corner with a beaming grin on your face, holding a watermelon cake that almost brings tears to his eyes. Itโs the same cake you and your parents bought him on his fifth birthday and each year, youโve continued to stick with the tradition, buying the same watermelon cake from the same store but decorated differently with candles that represent his age. The sparkly โ23โ shines back at him and he canโt help shyly smile at you when you gesture at him to blow out the candles.ย
Everyone around him cheers again when the candles are blown and you lay down the cake on the table before jumping into Markโs arms excitedly that wrap around your body on instinct, holding you as close to him as he possibly could as you sway him side to side.
โI thought you weren't going to make itโ Mark mumbles in your ear close enough to let you hear over the music. โYour mom told me over the phone this morning that you were busyโ
โI wanted to surprise you!!โ You giddily tell him, squeezing him tightly in your grasp. โYouโre my best friend, Mark! Of course Iโm not going to miss your birthday!โ
Best friend. Those two words leave a ugly feeling but he doesnโt have enough time to dwell on it as heโs forcefully ripped away from you, almost stumbling over his shoes as heโs swung around to face Yuta who shoves a shot glass into his hand, begging him to drink the concoxion inside. Markโs face turns sour when the alcohol burns as it runs down the back of his throat and he turns his attention back on you to continue a conversation but he sees youโre already preoccupied by Jaehyun who forcefully feeds you a shot, tipping your head back with a boisterous laugh.
Haechan is the one that coaxes everyone into dancing and drinking, gripping Markโs wrist to tug him into the centre and twirl him around. Mark loses his balance and he almost slips to the ground if it wasnโt for the hands that steady him on his back. Itโs you, a shy smile creeps onto his lips, youโre always there to catch him when he falls. Youโre always there. His arm slips around your shoulders comfortably when yours goes around his waist, holding you close to his side as he dances along with the others.
Everyone sings loudly to his favourite song that blasts on the speakers, everyone that he loves surrounds him with happy smiles and everyone is having fun. It feels like a dream come true to Mark and heโs so emotional that heโs unable to control the tears that pool in his eyes, but he doesnโt stop smiling, he doesnโt stop laughing. This is what heโs always wanted.
It doesnโt take Mark long to get drunk, the alcohol making his face red and his brain fuzzy to the point he canโt fully stand or continue dancing, so he sits alone with you in a corner, holding a cup of water in his hands as he listens to you excitedly explains the ins and outs of this surprise party him, even adding in a few creative words to cuss out Haechan who almost leaked it this morning. But Mark zones out when he sees how passionate you are, hands throwing up in the air, giggling and laughing through your words, prettily smiling when youโre talking about something he canโt fully hear.
His heartbeat is loud in his ears and he canโt focus anymore when the skin of your arm brushes against his. He doesnโt pull away despite feeling like heโs getting scorched, he craves more of it when you pull away and his fingers eagerly reach out for your elbow.
Youโve stopped talking now, staring back at Mark with curiosity and wonder pooling in your eyes, even a little bit of concern for his lack of speech. He struggles to speak, mouth opening and closing like a fish which makes him feel a little embarrassed and shy, heat creeping up his neck as you hold out the eye contact. Youโre calling out his name and Mark swears heโs never heard something so sweet before, his fingers dropping from your elbow as it hits him, it hits him hard and he canโt stop himself from holding back any longer.
โI love youโ Mark whispers to you, voice full of seriousness and honesty. His nerves slip away from the amount of alcohol that rushes through his veins and heโs not able to tear his eyes away from yours that now widen in surprise. โIโm so thankful for everything and I justโฆ I really love you, I doโ
โYeah?โ You hum, placing your hand on his cheek and swiping the small strand of confetti that rests on his cheekbone with your thumb with a small smile. Mark nods quickly, swallowing thickly at your touch but he relaxes into it, placing his hand on top of yours.ย
โYeah, I doโ He confesses, but his nerves soon come back once he realises how quiet youโve become. He wants the ground to swallow him whole, he wants someone to rush over and take him away from the rejection heโs about to face, he wishes that Haechan would come and change the subject now more than ever. And just as his eyes leave you to search for his other friend, he feels your lips press against his.
Markโs frozen in place, unable to move as you kiss him so gently, heart thumping widely in his chest. He doesnโt even have time to kiss you back because youโre already pulling away, searching his eyes for any discomfort. He pinches himself, he canโt help it, heโs thought about this for far too long that heโs scared itโs all in his headโฆ but heโs here, itโs realโฆ and you just kissed him.ย
The shyness that takes over Mark causes you to laugh and he bashfully looks away, smiling like a fool to himself but you cup his jaw to turn him back to face you. His eyes roam around your face lovingly and heโs surprised when your expression matches his. He wants to kiss you again, he wants to do it properly this time but he waits for your signal, his leg bouncing nervously.ย
โMarkโฆโ His name has always sounded good coming out of your mouth. โYou can kiss meโ
And so he does.
