The rush was dizzying, it made the lights seem fuzzy and the music seem overpowering. The party atmosphere was so bombarding to your senses that you had to escape to the upstairs bathroom to catch some semblance of peace.

Of course, Armin always notices your absence immediately; it's like his favorite star vanishing from the sky.

He knocked on the bathroom door. "Y/n? You in there?" he asked through the door. "Yeah." you faintly replied, "You can come in." you added.

Leave it to that boy to make even opening a door attractive. He swiftly closed it behind him to shut out the noise echoing from downstairs.

"What's my star doing alone in the bathroom?" he asked smilingly. You shrugged and mumbled weakly in reply, "I'm just feeling a bit..."

"Overwhelmed?" he finished for you. Armin always read you like an open book. Partially because he was an observant boy, but also because he was just especially in tune with your emotions.

You nodded. His soothing gaze was fixed on you. Armin stopped leaning against the door and came over to you by the sink.

Without words, he brushed the hair out of your face and cupped your cheeks. "Hey," he spoke in a soothing voice, "Don't worry, alright? I'll stay here with you 'till you feel better."

"Thanks, 'Min. But I think I'll be going home soon anyways... it's all a bit much tonight."

"Then I'll take you home." he said quickly. He brought your face closer to be kissed tenderly. "Can't let my star stray from me."

"I'm not straying!" you laughed. Without realizing, his voice's soothing qualities played a calming effect on your buzzing nerves.

"I'm just being unnecessarily poetic." he shrugged. "C'mon, let's get going. We'll have our own party at my apartment... with Disney movies? Unless you're in more of a Ghibli mood." he asked, looking into your eyes very sweetly.

When you nodded, Armin thought you looked just too adorable, so he sighed and pulled you into a warm hug – one of those characteristically Armin hugs. He always sways a bit, side to side, in this cutely clumsy manner.
