I feel like we've had too many wednesdays lately...
I've also recently received my Duchess Milianda JSK in the mail and deciced I'd make a cutsew for it.
(Full review hopefully coming soon!)
I have this leftover piece of floral chiffon that would go pretty well with it I think:
I'm trying to draft the pattern myself as I have a specific style in mind:
The style is based on a dirndl blouse, waist-length with front ruching and a rather low neckline, imitating the neckline of the dress.
Will either have a shirring back or a side zip (or both) and either elbow-length puff sleeves or short fluttery sleeves, depending on what I can squeeze out of the fabric.

Finally finished the world's weirdest bonnet!
aka the 'Mary Sunhat'
I'm quite happy with it but there's a few things I'd do differently next time:
Put wire in the brim. I used decovil as stabilizer and it's floppier than I would like. Or perhaps I'll try buckram
reposition the snaps. The snaps are placed in such a way that the back overlap gapes quite a bit. I fixed it by placing adding a second pair of snaps on this one
probably size down a bit
find a way to actually make this stay on my head? this straps aren't doing anything tbh!
But isn't it cute?!?!

Happy International Lolita Fashion Day!
My theme for this June one is Garden Party!
So I wore my most beloved garden jsk I made some years ago. (Her name is Botanika btw.) Definitely one of my favorites aestheticly. Looks like it could be an Emily Temple Cute design. I'm considering remaking the bodice though, as it is not very comfortable. I made it so long ago that I wasn't as concerned with comfort as I am now because I wasn't wearing them all day at work like I do now.
🌼Coord Rundown🌼
🌻Jsk & necklace: me made
🌿Cutsew & hat: Target
🌹Socks: Meikan
☘️Shoes: Ollio
🦋Butterfly brooch: arcade prize
💐Flowers: spiderwort, sweet William, Salvia, Chilean avens, and sea thrift

#lolita #lolitacosplay #lolitaoriginal #lolitafashion #lolitagirl #lolitadress #handmade #handmadecosplay #handmadelolita #original #cosplay #umbrella #black #blackdress #cosplaygirl #cosplaying #tayonomatsuri (at Novosibirsk, Russia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CgoF-LQKi8j/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

I felt like wearing casual lolita to university yesterday so I put together this coord. ✨
My whites didn’t match but I still felt super pretty and confident that day. 🥰 The background was also the perfect photo spot. 🍂
Afterwards I bought some new makeup and got a bowl for lunch. 🥺🍜

I’m currently working on a huge lolita fashion related project, and I’m not able to share on any of my social media that I use so for now....
here’s my sweet matcha coord so far! I wore it for the first time to a virtual meetup and I gotta say it was a fun time! i won a bingo game and learned a lot about cookies!
no one noticed that my coord was entirely handmade until I pointed it out and I am basically on cloud nine! PSA: find your local comm, they’re probably lovely!

A blouse in my size!
Design following a BtSSB blouse (that was too small for me).

Just a small w-i-p this week:
The world's weirdest bonnet?!
That's possibly because the pattern is actually for a vintage sun hat! the pattern is by Mary Nishimuta.
This is what the finished product should look like:
(source)
These things are awesome! They are reversible (although mine won't be) and can be stored flat or rolled up! A convenience you don't get with regular lolita bonnets!
So I really couldn't stop thinking about turning this into a lolita-style bonnet so that's what I'm trying to do.
Luckily this dress still needed a bonnet (and I had all the materials for that on hand):

2022 lolita coords! More then last year, although I took some time off in the summer because of the heat, but I did get one very casual one with my new strawberry dress. Not all are 100% typical lolita fashion but maybe more lolita adjacent. I definitely did a lot of holiday themes this year. . . . #eglcommunity #eglfashion #classiclolita #classiclolitafashion #lolitafashion #handmadelolita #sewmyownclothes #jfashion #kawaiifashion #elegantgothiclolita #elegantgothiclolitafashion #fashionlolita #harujukufashion #sewlolita #ロリータ #countrylolita #strawberrylolita #softlolita #casuallolita #gothiclolita #spookylolita #witchlolita #halloweenlolita #greenlolita #valentineslolita https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm13GHHJqMN/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
