“The poncho is my mom’s, the dress underneath was thrifted, and my shoes are vintage Mari flats. What inspires my style is my work of interior design; seeing how those patterns and styles are translated through each other. Eclectic and maximalist is my vibe.”

Livi, 21: “I'm wearing my favorite top and bag, both from my grandma. My mother’s old jacket and skirt and my sister’s old rain boots and an earring I stole from her. My knee socks and sweater are from my ex-boyfriend’s family. My style is mostly inspired by borrowing everything from everyone and so mixing and matching different things I find cute.”
Luna, 21: “I’m wearing one of my favorite cargo skirts which has a lot of pockets. My top is a wife beater with a graphic picture and a text that states ’husband beate’ which, like almost all of my clothes, is vintage from my parents’ closet.”
Luna, 21: “

I like old things.
And no, I don’t just mean “antique” or “vintage” collectibles (though I also like those).
I mean old things.
My favourite sweater is a hand-me-down.
I buy beat-up books from yard sales that I’ve never heard of before.
I’ve had the same converse sneakers since I was 14, and they’re the most comfortable shoes I own.
“Old stuff” that other people don’t want is great. It only has to have value to you.
What’s your favourite old thing you have?

The art of teaching is a timeless practice that involves not just imparting knowledge but also instilling passion, nurturing curiosity, and fostering critical thinking. Beyond transferring skills, it's about igniting a desire for continuous learning and growth. Effective teaching encompasses empathy, adaptability, and the ability to tailor methods to suit diverse learners. Passing down skills involves not just the transmission of techniques but also the sharing of experiences, insights, and wisdom accumulated over time. It's a sacred trust, where mentors guide proteges to surpass their own capabilities, ensuring the perpetuation of knowledge and expertise across generations.

I drew this like a month ago, but have been reluctant for some reason. I drew @smol4bluengine's baby Gordon as a human. Probably inaccurate but I made this prior to some things. But please, if you're a weird person like me and like trains, you should follow the blog. Just so you know, there is a humanoid version of Gordon on the blog, so I guess this is like a human version of Gordon. I designed him as a young toddler. I love the blog so much! And Gordon is unlikable at times in canon. But other than that, he is a tiny engine for the AU in the blog but with the maturity of a toddler, so he isn't usually a human of any kind.
Tumblr media
Toddler human Gordon waking up from a nightmare, thankfully Lady Hatt is there. For how a human Gordon turned into a baby, it's unknown, it's up to interpretation.
I took Gordon's outfit after the 1960's baby outfits, and since he was taking a nap, he's in the attire he wore for that day. Perhaps it was Sir Topham Hat's old outfit or something, in their AU's, it seems to take place in modern times so...Yeah. But I was going by the 1960's time period because of the time the canon show takes place in, but I feel like it would be something the Hatt Family would still own after all these years.

Let's analyze this outfit a little:
She's been living with the Byers for quite some while now, and this is clearly Jonathan's (S4) style. Also, the shirt she's wearing is a hand me down she received from Jonathan, it's a head canon.
The sweatshirt she's wearing is Lucas' childhood sweatshirt, it's canon.
The T shirt she's wearing might be a hand me down as well that she received from Nancy.
Also, if you look closely, the ring she's wearing actually belonged to Nancy too.
I've provided a few pictures for references.

hand-me-downs are so underrated???? What's better than new clothes? New vintage clothes while simultaneously not supporting fast fashion
In my closet, I have my grandfather's jacket from 1961, a bunch of my mom's sweaters and skirts from 1983, and my older cousins' t-shirts from 2009. I can look like a time traveler if I want to. It's the dream

“You caught me at a funny moment because the clothes I’m wearing I didn’t buy myself. The shorts and t-shirt are lent to me by a friend, my blazer I found in my father's closet, my socks I found in my sister's drawer, but she doesn’t know I took them and my shoes my mom got for me. The jewelry I mainly bought myself but some are gifts as well. My style represents the community that supports me, I surround myself with, and that I love.”

“I’m wearing my father’s old clothes and thrifted pants from UFF. I like to wear colorful clothes – I like to think that my style can make someone else happy. I seldom buy any clothes as I get most from my relatives. Nature inspires my style.”

What a Sweet Story🥰
"The company was set up by designer Alice Avenel, an old schoolfriend of Kate's, but she has now sold it. Speaking to The Mail on Sunday about the sweater, the mother-of-three said: 'I gave it to her years ago. It was a hand-me-down. I sold the company in March."
Clothing company brings back jumper after Prince Louis wore it
The daughter of an ex-Army officer, Alice, 41, has been a close friend of both the Prince and Princess of Wales since childhood. She was a teenage friend of William and a peripheral member of the 'Glossy Posse', who would hang out at Highgrove.
She was at exclusive Marlborough College with the Middleton sisters, playing tennis with Kate and hockey with Pippa. The Prince and Princess of Wales went to her 2012 wedding to French banker Gerald Avenel.
Alice, who has three children, Rose, 11, Constantine, nine, and Edward, seven, founded Little Alice in 2018, after the births of her children when she discovered a 'passion for smocking'. She also sold that company last month.
Explaining why she set up the firm, she said: 'My clever mother kept all of my beautiful smocked dresses from when I was a child, but I found it very hard to find affordable dresses in the shops.
Then the Princess of Wales released a photograph of her youngest son Prince Louis to mark his fifth birthday last weekend, shoppers rushed to find the same sweater he was wearing.
But there was only one problem: the £75 Fair Isle design was a hand-me-down Kate was given years ago, and had since been discontinued. So now, after being inundated with requests, the company which makes it has brought back the retired design.
Lallie London had, until Friday, been accepting advance orders for the smoky blue jumper, even though it won't be available again until September.
It is not the first time the Wales children have worn one of Alice's designs. Five years ago, Princess Charlotte, then two, almost stole the show as she and Prince George, four, arrived at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, to meet their baby brother. The £45 Periwinkle smocked dress she wore came from Ms Avenel's other label, Little Alice London, and immediately sold out online.
