been knitting voraciously for about three years and almost never swatch 😬 i’m knitting a sweater for the first time and decided it was worth it based on the amount of effort i’m about to put into this and was wondering how much people actually follow the best practices
My final finished object of 2023 - and the first of three "better late than never" FO posts - is my Neon Nectar by Wool and Pine! I think this is my favorite make ever up to this point - every time I put it on, I never want to take it off! It fits so nicely, the yarn is so nice, it's super comfy, I just love everything about it!
What's that? I never posted about this project at all until this very post? You are correct. Also, shush.
Finishing up my Friendship Pullover by Aimee Sher. Loving the lack of interminable end-weaving. (But I did end up casting on another pair of socks with more than one color, so clearly I’m a glutton for the punishments)
I think it's officially 'get out your sweaters' season in Maine so I wanted to get better pix of this one. This was my first time knitting a lopapeysa style sweater & I found the process SO fun! It was also super rewarding to be able to switch out the horse chart of the original pattern with goats! 🐐 In the end a full repeat wouldn't fit, so I added a little clover at the back ☘️
A handknit vest made of made of wool and scrap acrylic yarn. 35,118 stitches in total.
This vest is meant to pay homage to one of the ways our loved ones show their love for us - cutting fruit. This vest is handknit by me, 1 of a kind and available at HookednBusy.com
Since y’all love my last big sleeve creation; how about this bad boy I finished last year and never posted???
(Pattern is Love Magick by Disco Stitch; yarn is Lion Brand Superwash Merino which was Hellish to use and I highly would not recommend!!! Why were there so many knots!!!! Like, 5-9 knots per ball. Fucked up.)
