As an Ace/Aro person who likes music I have a solution to some of those love songs:
I believe in a thing called Lunch, just listen to the grumble of my tum
I would eat anything for Lunch but I won't eat tha...ah...ah...at
The Lunch shack is a little old place where we can eat together
You.... Your Lunch is on Fire
Well, I wanna eat with you on a mountain, I wanna dine with you by the sea, I wanna lunch like this forever, Until the sky falls down on me
I Lunch myself, I want you to Lunch me, when I'm feeling down I want Lunch before me
Shit through the cloth and you're to blame you give lunch a bad name, indigestion starts when I ate your game, you give lunch a bad name, yeah you give lunch a bad name
Don't need money, won't take fame, don't need no credit card to ride this train, it's strong and it's sudden and it's cruel sometimes but it might just save your life. That's the power of Lunch
Unfortunately you can't do it for all songs but the few it works on are amazing.

misgendering someone isn't bad because "it can cause dysphoria".
misgendering someone is bad because it's fucking disrespectful.
it's not somehow less harmful to misgender someone without dysphoria than it is to misgender someone with dysphoria.

People often complain about "how many genders there are". When you go through school, you learn that there are three states of matter. You also learn that there are two genders. Of course, this is not the reality. You may learn that plasma is a fourth state of matter, and that there are transgender or nonbinary people.
Let's take a look at the true number of states of matter...
Tumblr media
I feel that if Bose-Einstein condensate is a valid state of matter, then girlflux is a valid label.
The real world is FAR from simple. Not even matter is binary (or quaternary).

Say hello to the new and independent Fallout Wiki!
Greetings to all of you lovely wastelanders, mutants and robots alike! We come bearing an important announcement, one which might even pique the curiosity of all you nosy prospectors out there.
We’d like to introduce you to the shiny and brand spanking new, Independent Fallout Wiki.
Tumblr media
Now, I know, you may be asking to yourself, “Wait, there’s already a Fallout Wiki out there! Why’s this one so dang special?”
Well, if you’d bear with me for a moment, I’ll tell you why!
Tumblr media
What is the Independent Fallout Wiki?
Well, the Independent Fallout Wiki is just about as straightforward as it sounds! We all used to be members of another wiki dedicated to Fallout, which is hosted by a company that shall remain nameless. Now, if there’s one thing you should know about this company, it’s that they have very little regard for the community, introducing changes that no one likes, hosting tons of ads and even buying out wiki editors to work for them. We find this (among other things) to be antithetical to our beliefs. We feel that wikis should be in the hands of the community, not a company that refuses to listen to us!
This reached a breaking point earlier this year, along with some events out of our control, which led to the bright idea of forking into independence and starting a new wiki! A wiki that’s truly in the hands of the community. A wiki that is self-hosted and safe from harmful, corporate interests. We don’t have shareholders to please and we don’t answer to anyone. We don’t have ads and we don’t need them, hopefully ever. Content is created by fans, for fans
We are simply wanting to provide the most reliable and accurate source of all things Fallout. We’ve even broke bread with some of the other fantastic independent wikis out there, such as Doom Wiki and Combine Overwiki whom we recommend you check out too!
What kinds of new features are we offering?
We’re glad you asked! As well as offering a trove of accurate, well sourced content about the Fallout franchise (with strict guidelines to ensure the best possible content quality, as all wikis should), we’re offering a new Community space. This will be a place for the community to host all kinds of fan works, such as fanfiction, fan art, creations, roleplaying and tabletop games, pen and paper games, Fallout 76 player CAMPs and, much, much more.
As mentioned before, we have affiliated with many other independent wiki projects, including the Doom Wiki, Combine OverWiki, JoJo’s Bizarre Encyclopedia, StrategyWiki, Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages, and even Halopedia! We’re also proud members of the Gaming Wiki Network, and soon, we’ll even be affiliated with NIWA, the Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance. These affiliations will offer mutual aid and support that will help every wiki in the short-term and long-term. We are looking forward to working with them, for we all share the same goals!
How can we help and how can we be apart of the community?
We welcome anyone who wishes to join our community. It doesn’t matter if you’re an editor or reader. We are all fans of Fallout and we encourage you to join our community! If you are a non-editor and are only looking for information about something from the Fallout franchise, click this here link! https://fallout.wiki/wiki/Fallout_Wiki/
If you are interested in becoming an editor and want to fight the good fight to help rewrite content and smashing misinformation and head-canon, click this other here link! https://fallout.wiki/wiki/Special:UserLogin
While you’re there, check out our LGBTQ representation page. It was written by the lovely robot, C0NN1E here on Tumblr!:
https://fallout.wiki/wiki/LGBTQ_representation_in_Fallout
We welcome all members of the LGBTQ+, MOGAI, GSRM, Plural and Otherkin communities with open arms!
Last, but not least, if you’d like to be apart of our wider social community, you can follow us here on Tumblr, on Twitter, check out our Instagram or join our Discord, right here below, right now! We even got a fresh, custom invite link!
https://discord.gg/falloutwiki
https://twitter.com/thefalloutwiki
https://www.instagram.com/thefalloutwiki/
Well, that about wraps up this little segment of ours. We hope you enjoy this project as much as we do. We put a lot of time, effort and care into it and we want to give back to the people that we love the most, the community. Have safe travels out there, and we hope to see you around!
END OF BROADCAST

So I'm walking my younger brother to his primary church meet-up thing, and we were talking, and I gave him my phone number on a sticky note since his phone died so one of the leaders can contact me, and while we were walking to the church, he said he'll scream my phone number out so all the boys will hear and I'll get a boyfriend, and I joked, saying I'm going to get a girlfriend. And he joked, saying I was a lesbian. I said I can't be a lesbian if I'm a boy and not a girl. And we just laughed. (Joking about being trans and a lesbian is probably not a thing CisHets do.) I stood up for myself in an actual IRL conversation twice now. But it's not like my grandma, younger brother, or any of my family will take me seriously.
But now when I talk about it, I get a pit in my stomach because I know it's not simply joking anymore, no matter what tone I say it in. But I'm still happy, regardless.

shoutout to maveriques who are out everywhere.
shoutout to maveriques who are out in some settings and closeted in others.
shoutout to maveriques who are not out yet.
shoutout to maveriques who never want to come out.
shoutout to maveriques who are out as trans or nonbinary but not as maverique specifically.
shoutout to maveriques who go by different labels in different settings.
happy coming out day to all maveriques. being in the closet is not morally wrong. using a different more broad label is not morally wrong. you don't owe anyone being out, that includes your own community. maveriques know who they are even if they never come out.

To queer people who are figuring out your identity stuff, remember:
The words exist to be of service to you.
You do not exist serve them.
Identify as what is the most helpful for you.
If you say youre bi because that makes you comfortable, it’s easy to explain, and it helps you connect to people, then that is great! It doesn’t matter if you technically meet the definition for omnisexual better.
Similarly, if you say your Omni because bi gives people the wrong impression, because you want people to ask you questions about what it means instead of assuming, because the more complex nature of it helps you know how you fit in the world better, that’s really amazing. You don’t have to simplify it to bi just because someone says that you “fit in the bi umbrella”
Your experiences, your communication, your sense of self knowledge. That’s what’s Important.
Don’t try to find the label you fit perfectly in. Try to find labels that help you. Labels that you can use to meet your needs.
These words only mean what we use them to mean, and what people interpret from you using them. You aren’t hurting a word just because you can’t bury every complexity of your existence into it.

Friendly reminder that, even though you use one pronoun in one language you don’t have to use the same one in another.
Using they/them in English,
The equivalent of it/it in Norwegian
And a neopronoun in German
Is completely fine and dandy
✨Pronouns✨ have different associations and mouthfeels in different languages and you shouldn’t feel restricted to a singular pronoun in any language.

"aces and aros are technically queer/LGBTQ+, but not all of them identify that way. they are welcome if they feel a connection to the queer community."
while this might be true, it bothers me that aces, aros and some other identities after the T get that caveat but the others don't. there are many lesbians, gay men, bi and trans people who don't identify as queer/LGBTQ+, but no one ever says "lesbians are technically queer but some don't identify as queer". it seems to only be us weirdos after the T who get the caveat.
also, have you considered why aces and aros aren't identifying as queer? maybe more of us would identify as queer if unconditional inclusion was actually modelled for us. "if they feel a connection to the queer community" - how was i supposed to feel connected to this community when ace inclusion was never modelled for me? when i was a baby ace 9 years ago, i thought i was cis and straight, and the only queerness that was portrayed to me was LGBT, nothing else, not even nonbinary people. where exactly was that connection meant to come from? how was i meant to feel a connection to a community that was constantly discoursing over my existence?
i only felt a connection to the community when i realised i was enby. only after that i learned that my asexuality was queerness all along. my queer gender was literally the stepping stone for a connection to the queer community based on my asexuality.
ace and aro exclusion needs to be unconditional. it doesn't feel like inclusion of aces and aros get this weird caveat but most other identities don't. it feels like aces and aros are still held to higher standards and that LGBT(no +) people are more inherently and unconditionally queer than aces and aros.
either everyone should get that caveat or no one.

ppl use words to get an idea across to others so while personally you can use internet lingo to describe yourself to yourself if you want to communicate with others you'll have to use words they're more likely to understand. the vast majority of queer people don't know the words in your bio either so it isn't just a non-queer issue. using words that can be easily translated into other languages is generally best for communication else it's completely inaccessible to ppl outside a comparatively small tumblr circle. Bisexual covers all multispec experiences including sexual/romantic since it's a word established long before the split attraction model or other mspec labels so that is pretty easy even across language barriers
Oh, absolutely! Genderfluid, bisexual, and aroace are just the pinnacle of trendy identities, aren't they? Like, why even bother exploring anything else? My real identity must be buried deep within the depths of Tumblr's trending tags, obviously.
Also just a random question, do you know what xenogenders or otherkin are?
