Add a race to Baldur's Gate 3
This is just for fun but what races would you like to be able to play as in BG3? (Some of these won't be feasible but I'm throwing them on there for fun)

💎 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺! Spell Bolt Wraps
Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by a monk) ___ These armwraps are made from cut up strips of spell scrolls. The spell on the scroll is either “chill touch” (25%), “fire bolt” (25%), “ray of frost” (25%), or “shocking grasp” (25%). While wearing the wraps, you can cast the spell on the scroll in place of one of the unarmed strikes from your Flurry of Blows feature. When you do, Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for the spell, and you are proficient with the attack; the spell is cast at your character’s level. You can use this property of the wraps once on each of your turns. ___ ✨ Patrons get huge perks! Access this and hundreds of other item cards, art files, and compendium entries when you support The Griffon's Saddlebag on Patreon for less than $10 a month!

The ORC Alliance Grows
meanwhile, at Paizo Blog (published January 19, 2023) :
Tumblr media
Over the course of the last week, more than 1,500 tabletop RPG publishers, from household names going back to the dawn of the hobby to single proprietors just starting out with their first digital release, have joined together to pledge their support for the development of a universal system-neutral open license that provides a legal “safe harbor” for sharing rules mechanics and encourages innovation and collaboration in the tabletop gaming space.
The alliance is gathered. Work has begun.
It would take too long to list all the companies behind the ORC license effort, but we thought you might be interested to see a few of the organizations already pledged toward this common goal. We are honored to be allied with them, as well as with the equally important participating publishers too numerous to list here. Each is crucial to the effort’s success. The list below is but a representative sample of participating publishers from a huge variety of market segments with a huge variety of perspectives. But we all agree on one thing.

Wenclair prompts
Wendnesday shows up next semester wearing the snood nearly at all times. She also seems to be carrying weapons everywhere, pulling them from the snood itself somehow.
She won't tell Enid specifically what she did to repair it, but whenever someone compliments the snood Wednesday nearly smirks when she replies, "Thanks. It has pockets."
(Wednesday gave the snood pocket dimensions because there's a stalker on the loose, and she won't be caught unarmed. Kind of inspired by the Eldritch Scarf item from Griffon's Saddlebag)
Enid gets sent to Normie school since her mother says she is barely a real outcast/werewolf anyway. She is drawn to Wednesday Addams: the girl who radiates grayscale.

Phizzy the Rogue
Tumblr media
Say hi to my newest dnd character I really love! This here is Phizzy. She is a Rogue Heretic Brownie. I’ll start with her race. She is a brownie, for those who don’t know there is a fairy tale creature known as a brownie that are basically kinda like tiny elves. This isn’t what they typically look like. In fact she more like a fey goblin. I got the idea of her when I was browsing dnd ideas on YouTube and found this interesting video. In the description is a free homebrew document of the race and the video goes into details of the origin.
youtube
I instantly fell in love with the race cuz they so dang adorable and their abilities are so cool. And they can even climb walls like monkeys! So cuuuute! Just imagine one hanging out on your shoulder! X3 Now her class. She is what’s known as a Rogue Heretic. It’s another homebrew class made by the incredible creator Griffons saddlebag.
Him and his team create a Dnd TREASURE TROVE VAULT of settings, monsters, subclasses, and over a THOUSAND (and counting! No im not joking) Magical items! All playtested and balanced out! One of the Subclasses they made, the Rogue Heretic, is basically a multiclass of a rogue and a cleric. What really struck me as interesting was that they can use other deities to push their own goals in both story and battle, even if it doesn’t follow the same principles as one of the other gods. When I saw that it gave me an idea for Phizzy, and this is what I came up with.
History: Phizzy’s kind was saved by the Queen of Air and Darkness that sent many goblinoid races to the alien realms and corrupted them, hence the known goblins everyone knows. The Queen however was but a mere Archfey and not a typical Prime Deity. And so Phizzy requested to show her thankfulness as her kind are very in line to pay their life debts to anyone that helps them. Phizzy asked to help spread the word of the Queen and gain followers to make her a deity. And so the Archfey made a deal with the other deities both good, obscure, and evil. To spread her doctrine and to use some of their philosophy in order to gain followers. Considering the Gods may be able to gain more benefit then harm from one lowly Brownie from gaining followers that follows their doctrine. They allowed it to be so and so Phizzy was sent on a journey to spread the word of the Queen. All the while picking up religious trinkets and artifacts in order to keep her going without harm.
And that’s her basic backstory. She basically like a Religious Fast Pass in temples. I really really love her and she so dang cute. Once I get a chance I wanna play a one shot with her if I can find it. Thank you @xjunjox for the pic you always amazing!

(ask-princess-rarity) Oh, I MUST ask a most important quest from you two brave adventurers! I hear you two are absolutely unmatched in bravery, courage, and expediency, I could simply choose no others for the deed. From deep within these caverns I am depraved of basic pony rights! Please, deliver to me one single pint of mint chocolate ship ice cream - only name brand and be sure it is NOT melted when it arrives - to my room within the next fortnight. In exchange I'm sure I could find some gem or the other for you fine gentlemen.
Tumblr media
"Less than a Fortnight" later...
Princess Rarity leaned out her balcony window, gazing into the vast underground cavern the diamond dogs called home. She took a deep breath and exhaled a long and dainty sigh. It felt like it had been decades since her last taste of ice cream, and she felt like she was constantly in the mood to eat it these days.
That is, she was constantly stressed enough to want to shovel it down her throat in hopes of drowning out her troubles.
As Rarity gazed out of her balcony, trying to pretend the glowing crystals on the far side of the cavern were creamy popsicles, she noticed a small disturbance near the orange-looking one. Rarity recalled that that was vaugely in the direction she had come from when she first arrived here.
Rarity pulled herself forward onto the railing to get a better look, though at best all she could see from here were vaugely moving specks of all the muted colors the diamond dogs came in. Except... was that one bright yellow? As Rarity angled her ears toward the disturbance, she thought she heard shouting... and it was getting closer, As was the yellow speck in the distance. As it moved in her general direction, Rarity could begin to make out yellow wings that were flapping frantically. Soon enough Rarity perceived that the yellow blob was being accosted by crossbow bolts and thrown spears from below, but every once in a while the yellow thing would retaliate with some unknown projectile of it's own. Were those... disks? So intent on her observations was Rarity that didn't notice that the yellow creature was headed straight for her.
Well, that is, until she remembered to duck. As the yellow bird soared over Rarity's head, one or two sharp objects followed him into her room, skewering the roughly-made throw rug. An instant later, she heard one of the diamond dogs below smack the other upside the head.
"Stupid! Don't kill Pony Princess!" He shouted.
"wasn't trying to!" the cowed dog replied. "Shut up! Somedog get up there!" the first dog said.
Rarity, however, was no longer paying attention; she was looking at the feather-tailed yellow griffon who had skidded to a stop not quite quickly enough to avoid hitting the far wall. "Your highness." Gad said, upside-down. As he righted himself, he took a sealed plastic bucket out of his saddlebags.
Tumblr media
"I hope this is to your satisfaction, miss!" Gad said, smiling. "It's a bit more than a pint, but maybe you could share a bit with your, uh... 'friends' down here."
As he placed the bucket down, Rarity may have noticed that the bucket was still coated in frost, despite the long journey it must've taken there. The paper sticker on the top was ringed with frozen condensation. "As for payment, don't stress about it too much, but if you could mail us one or two gems of different colors about yea big..." Gad held his claws about an inch apart, like he was displaying a golden bit between them... "Then that'd be great."
Before much else could happen, there was a pounding on the door. "Oops! looks like I've worn out my welcome here." Gad said as he readied himself for takeoff again. "Maybe you could explain this to the Diamond dogs so their response isn't so... violent next time? Oh! and probably dispose of that sticker before your room gets frozen!"
Gad climbed up onto the balcony railing and spread his wings.
"Let me know if you ever need a real rescue, princess! And sorry about Purglator's cape!" Purglator's... cape? what about it? Of course before Rarity could ask, Gad was swooping back in the direction he came, zipping, diving, and dodging projectiles like a mad bird.
An instant later, Rarity's door slammed open, and she looked back to see a rather strange sight, accompanied by the faint scent of cherries.
Tumblr media
(@ask-princess-rarity, since this was an anonymous ask, I don't know if this was actually requested by you, but I enjoyed writing it, nonetheless! enjoy your ice cream, and to a lesser extent, your pie.)

Fair enough!
Hasbro owns Wizards of the Coast. Wizards of the Coast owns Dungeons & Dragons.
If you play Dungeons and Dragons (or really, have any exposure to it at all), chances are, you either use or are in some way influenced by D&D content created (and probably published) by someone who is not WotC. If you use hand-drawn battle maps made by artists like Czepeku, or VTT tokens drawn by ForgottenAdventures, or perhaps you use a spell or subclass created by KibblesTasty, or an enchanted item created and illustrated by The Griffon's Saddlebag. Or maybe you just use roll tables, adventure modules, virtual tabletops like Foundry VTT, or prewritten settings made by people who are not WotC. This includes the big names, like Tal'Dorei: Campaign Setting Reborn from Critical Role. On that note: Critical Role. Maybe you've heard of it. Dimension20, The Adventure Zone. The list goes on.
All of these things are known as 3rd-party creators. That means these people just happened to like the D&D franchise, and made content for or about D&D which they profit from. But they do not work for Wizards of the Coast and have absolutely zero ties to the official company.
This is possible through something called an OGL, or Open Game License, in combination with an SRD, or System Reference Document. In short: WotC wanted (initially) to allow their players to grow the community by making their own 3rd party content. To encourage this, they went through the core rules of D&D5e and selected bits of it to put in a System Reference Document. Then they created the Open Game License, which is a legal document that explains how anything within the SRD can be more or less referenced and used for anyone to profit off of (whereas things they built into D&D but did not put in the SRD were still off-limits to protect their intellectual property from being completely public domain).
The OGL1.0 had one small revision shortly after launching, which is known as OGL1.0a. OGL1.0a has been the active license for about the past decade, untouched beyond that initial small revision. This OGL allows all the aforementioned creators to do what they do freely and passionately without having to worry about things like lawsuits for using the D&D intellectual property.
Based on recent interviews, actions and choices made by WotC/Hasbro, I feel it's safe to presume that what has happened is that WotC/Hasbro have loved seeing the boom in popularity for D&D over recent years, but have found themselves restless about how so much of that success went into the pockets of 3rd party creators. They acquired a new CEO, who in an interview, declared D&D to be "under-monetized". Instead of seeking to rectify this by listening to the community and producing more content they wanted, their solution to this apparent ""problem"" (D&D as a franchise makes hundreds of millions of dollars per year, btw) was to move towards a new edition of D&D, and with it, establish a new OGL.
The new edition is, basically, D&D6e, but is being referred to as "OneDnD" during these early developmental periods. With the development of OneDnD/6e, a new OGL was drafted, because evidently, they very much regretted the OGL put in place for 5e, because it gave them no way of taking a slice of the pie that 3rd party creators had made into the gourmet dessert it has been. The new OGL they drafted is referred to as OGL1.1. However, despite the label as an OGL, it is not an Open Game License. It is anything but open. It creates not only harsh and predatory restrictions for all 3rd party creators, but with its release, it also renders the old OGL null and void.
In short, every single 3rd party creator has a choice right now that they are being forced to make on an extremely small time crunch: either sign on to OGL1.1, and in doing so, forfeit all rights you had under OGL1.0a that you based your entire business upon, giving WotC your soul and full ownership over all your creations, with freedom to use them however, whenever, and wherever Hasbro chooses without owing you any compensation at all, or cease publishing 3rd party content for profit. Or continue to do so and face a lawsuit.
To reiterate/sum up:
Hasbro/Wizards of the Coast is trying to develop the next edition of Dungeons & Dragons, and with it, they are TORCHING the old licensing system that has allowed 3rd-party creators to make their livelihoods around the D&D fandom. They are instead rewriting this license to force said creators to either sign on and comply, thus granting Hasbro total and compensation-free use of anything and everything the 3rd-party creator publishes amongst other predatory clauses--or else legally barring 3rd party creators from otherwise continuing to publish their work as they have been.
If you're wondering about the big names like Critical Role, they are no doubt under an NDA right now, as I'm positive WotC reached out to them well in advance to lock them into said NDA and OGL1.1 contracts as soon as possible. Due to their high earnings, WotC is now being payed 25% of their GROSS income as a royalty fee. Gross=Before expenses. So this is not 25% of Critical Role's profits, this is 25% of everything they make, before they spend any of that money on expenses--which undoubtedly cuts majorly into their profits, and consequentially, the new ventures they are able to pursue. If you don't care about CR, replace them with any similarly big-name D&D based company, like Dimension20, TAZ, Kobold Press, etc. Edit: Please refer to my original post for full details! To be clear, this 25% royalty applies only to creators making over $750k gross /year--but under OGL1.1, WotC can change (including lowering) that threshold to whatever number they want.
Hopefully that helps clarify some things! Full details of all the red flags I'm screaming about are in my other prior post. This is, unfortunately, not fearmongering, either. This is the cold and bitter factual reality of the matter. It really is this nasty.

Another DnD commission !
The commissionner asked for their character (well, they're DMing, so their proxy-character) and their partner's character. So here are Salazar, a human magic teacher, and Vistra, a mute Dwarf barbarian. They asked for Vistra eating some pastries she made, offering some to Salazar, who'd be signing "bon appétit" :)
Salazar's staff is the only thing I didn't design, as the commissionner gave me a specific ref, the Solar Staff from the Griffon's Saddlebag.
