Iphoto Library Screensaver
On the other hand, have you messed with the 'options' choice when setting up a Ken Burns screensaver? If you check the 'keep centered' option, it reduces the issue of images moving offscreen. It's also probably possible to build a slide show in iPhoto or iMovie and use it as a screen saver, but I've never tried that. Only my opinion. For Mac users, save the image into your iPhoto library. Then go to System Preferences and select Desktop/Screensaver. Then go to System Preferences and select Desktop/Screensaver. 1024x768 I 1280x1024 I 1920x1200. Not Compatible With Mountain Lion (OSX 10.8)
2012-07-30
I upgraded to Mountain Lion and discovered that the screensaver doesn't work anymore. Some research and I found the answer: there is no more automatic garbage collection in screensavers starting with OS 10.8.
That sounds minor, but that's a MAJOR change, and a lot of the code assumes garbage collection is present. I am not sure why Apple made this change for screensavers, but anyhow I am not sure how long it's going to take me to go and make this thing work. Sorry everyone.
