Family Trees for Bluey and Bastion! (I made these when both were still Pawniard) More information about them are below the read more!
Bluey’s Family
___Maternal Line____ Copper : Bluey's maternal grandmother, she called her Gran-gran. Copper was a strong woman who tolerated absolutely zero bullshit. She ran her own blacksmith shop in their hometown and if she wasn't married to Verde, she'd be married to her work. Bluey was always so fascinated when she'd watch her Gran-gran mold molten metal with her bare hands into something new, Bluey never knew how her granny could handle the heat! Copper had a bit of RBF but despite how cranky she looked she was a kind grandma; she just showed her love in a different way, which was some good ol' fashion roughhousing. She was the second person Bluey saw the monster attack. Verde : Bluey's maternal grandfather, she called him Pappy. A stern Alpha Cacturne whose massive size and spooky features from his Grimmsnarl father made him quite intimidating to others in town. Pappy had a very dry and sometimes abrasive sense of humor. He usually showed his love through jokes and jabs and if you weren't close family, you'd probably mistake them as genuine insults because you lack the knowledge of the place of love it comes from. He was often out of town on missions as Bluey remembers her Gran-gran telling her about how her Pappy was a brave adventurer. Bluey doesn't know if he's alive or not...she can't remember if he was there when the monster came. Scarlet : Bluey's mother! Scarlet was an explorer much like her father and her stories of adventure and danger always captivated Bluey's imagination. Her mom is the reason she even desired to be an adventurer one day herself! It's odd how the memories are all scrambled together nowadays. Bluey remembers her mom left for a mission in some sort of cave. But a few days after when her mother should have returned a monster attacked the town. Bluey wonders if the monster defeated her mother in the cave followed her trail back to town. Would she be proud of the adventurer Bluey has become today? ___Paternal Line____ Rhyme : Bluey's Paternal grandmother, she called her Memaw. Rhyme was an amazing baker and was the town's finest preschool teacher. Honestly, Rhyme was the only teacher who could ever get Bluey to pay attention in school, but it did help that she'd bribe her with fresh baked cookies! Memaw was always so sweet and always ready to play, there was also a comfort that she was just as weird colored as Bluey! Bluey remembers her always calling Bluey her mini-me because they had the same beauty mark and were both rare colors. Bluey misses her so much, she didn't see what happened to her until after she and Bastion came out of hiding and found her body. Echo : Bluey's Paternal grandfather, she called him Peepaw. Echo was their towns librarian and was always a great storyteller, and he knew so much! Peepaw was also the best snuggler thanks to his supper long fluffy fur! Bluey remembers how much his mustache used to tickle. One vivid memory she can recall was when she accidentally sliced off half of his mustache, Bluey remembers feeling so bad as she watched him have the shave the other half off. Peepaw was always so patient, the only time she saw him angry, was the day the monster came. She remembers finding him and memaw wrapped in eachother's arms. Riddle : Bluey's father! Riddle was one of the towns mailmen and was Bluey's favorite person! He was basically her best friend and never turned down spending time with her. Bluey remembers that her father was deaf and in fact he was the one who taught her and Bastion sign language when they were little. She used to love going with him to work and ridding in his mail bag on deliveries when she got too tired to walk. Dad was always there for her, when mom was off adventuring dad was always there. He was the first person the monster took from Bluey. She wishes he was still here.
Bastion’s Family
___Maternal Line____ Shiba : Bastion's maternal grandmother and the once owner of the "Crooked Metal Tavern & Inn" in Bastion's hometown. She was a woman of few words and the patience of a saint unless you were making a ruckus in her establishment. Bastion still remembers some of the colorful swears and insults she slung on some traveling traders who broke several plates. The customer was not always right in that establishment that's for sure! She was the one who taught Bastion how to cook and properly prepares meals for himself when he was too young to join hunting packs. The best knowledge she could ever give him with the sound advice of "If you can't take care of or provide for yourself, how can you do so for others?" Jenga : Bastion's maternal grandfather, one of their towns many high ranked guild members! Bastion remembers the stories his papa Jenga used to tell him about the old days when he, Rampart, Bluey's grandfather Verde, and his great aunt Moody had as a guild team when they were Bastion's age. Bastion could always tell how much Jenga missed the good ol' days when those four were thick as thieves. Jenga was always a fun-loving man and the emotional glue who helped keep the peace between the many hardheaded members of the town and their family. The last story he remembered his grandfather telling him was about how much he wished he could one day find the wandering library and explore its hidden knowledge. Star : Bastion's mother! Star was always a pacifist at heart who thought there was more to life than just brandishing your blades in a hoity toity manner. But like her father, Star had a respect for knowledge and its use and how thinking before you act is important. Bastion remembers just how beautiful his mother's singing was...If he remembers correctly, she was named the best singer in Painted Sands. She was always a performer at heart and not one to really fight. She was strict but so loving and Bastion misses her so much. ___Paternal Line____ Parapet : Bastion's maternal grandmother who at the time was the town's sheriff. Bastion always wondered why his grandmother never evolved given her age and battle prowess, or well that was until she told the story about how Verde bet her 50 poké, she wouldn't eat an Everstone when they were kids, and despite Ramparts protest back then she did it and it was WORTH IT! She brandished the fact she'd always be a Pawniard with pride. Despite her small size she was an absolute demon in combat and Bastion was pretty sure she was the only Pokémon in existence who intimidated his grandfather Rampart. Bastion always knew someone was in very big trouble if his grandmother was sent to deal with the situation. He doesn't know if she's still alive or not...but if she isn't he wonders who took up the mantal of sheriff and if they have lived up to her reputation. Rampart : Bastion's paternal grandfather, the only Kingambit in their town. He was both the mayor of Painted Sands and the Chief of all 15 Bisharp familial packs in the city's territory. Rampart was a leader who did not tolerate any form of bullshit happening in his town, the second someone stepped out of line or caused trouble was the second they were quite firmly put back in line. But despite his strictness, Bastion remembers his grandfather being a good leader with the patience of a saint, especially for children! When he was little-little, Bastion remembers feeling intimidated by his grandfather because of his size and might, but in awe of those same qualities. One of Bastion's favorite things he did with his grandfather when he was little was nestling down for a nap in his massive mane of hair. Rampart always made Bastion feel so safe. He doesn't know if he's alive or not but if his grandfather has passed, he hopes whoever took his place has been a worthy replacement. Barricade : Bastion's father! Barricade was the middle child of his family and sure acted like one! Bastion remembers all the dumb fights his father and uncle would either start or get into and the sheer number of times he watched them have their helms gonged together by his grandfather to get them back in line. Bastion remembers his father teaching him how to hunt when he was really little, in fact he would take him on solo hunts before he was considered of age to join on them to make up for the fact, he could never join his older sisters who were old enough to hunt with the adults. Bastion is forever grateful that his father taught him as early as he did, it was the only reason he and Bluey were able to survive on their own. He hopes that he's made his father proud.

Hagging Out: Veneration
Great-Grandma Hazel has been on my mind a lot this Thanksgiving weekend.  We used her china at Mom’s dinner and while tracking down the pattern to answer a question from @hrusewif I started looking for an old photo of my great grandparent’s wedding and stumbled on her recipe for poppy seed torte.  So I decided that since she seemed to be reaching out to me I’d spend some quality time with Great-Gran.  I went ahead and made the poppy seed torte and after lighting a candle and some incense I moved into the other room and had a cozy, informal sit down with her over a cup of tea (this time for real the very last teaspoonful of Russian caravan, I actually threw the packaging away this morning) in one of her old china cups (pattern: Homer Laughlin “ferndale”), and a slice of the torte.
Transcript from an article I wrote over a decade ago:

John Marlow and Hazel Caldie Marlow on their Wedding Day in 1912
After I got off the phone with Mom and then my maternal grandmother ("Granny") this Mother's Day morning, I was thinking about food--as you know I often do. Go figure! Several years ago I was reading a book about ethnic food traditions in America and the foods we inherit through our mothers. I remember quizzing Mom and Granny to death on the foods that they both grew up on. I have tons of notes somewhere that I took, probably buried with my genealogy stuff that is a come and go hobby, but some of the things I remember them talking about was the huge gardens (Granny was raising twelve kids on Grandpa's small salary) and all the potatoes down in the cellar, about night-time smelt runs, and kolaches, the Friday fish fries at Grandpa Thibodeau's ice cream parlour, and my mom's paternal Grandma Hazel Marlow's frosting--which was evidently something amazing.
Tumblr media
Great-Grandpa Thibodeau's ice cream parlour (in an earlier incarnation as a "confectionary store") in Ashland, WI. Pictured are his brother William and sister Gertrude, circa 1910. My Granny, Lorraine Thibodeau Marlow, grew up in the above apartment.
You may have gathered from the above description that my Mother's family is not from the South! Mom is mostly descended from French Canadians who immigrated to Wisconsin at the turn of the century. Except that my Great-Grandfather married a half Scottish lady (the other half, of course, was Canadian French), Hazel Caldie, whose grandfather Thomas Caldie had hacked their farm out of the wilderness in 1862 near what would become Stiles, Wisconsin.
Tumblr media
The extended Marlow family sometime in the twenties, probably on the farm (I think outside Denmark, Wisconsin). Grandma Hazel Caldie Marlow is circled, one of my great uncles is directly below her, the man above her is my Great-Grandpa John Marlow, and on his lap is another of my great uncles (my Grandpa wasn't born yet). I believe the rather stern looking lady in the top row center is my great-great Grandma Marlow (doesn't she just look like the matriarch of a farm family?), and the graying gentleman with the moustache and white shirt to the left is my great-great Grandpa Marlow.
I never did get the frosting recipe, but Mom managed to track down some of Grandma Hazel's other recipes from my Great Aunt Bev, who still had an old recipe box of Grandma Hazel's. My Aunt Mary requested this recipe, which she had childhood memories of:
Grandma Hazel’s Poppy Seed Torte
Ingredients:
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup poppy seed
1/2 cup sugar
6Tbls. flour
Dash of salt
2 cups milk
3 egg yolks
1t vanilla
3 egg whites
6 TB sugar
Directions:
Mix crumbs sugar & butter. Reserve 1/2 cup for topping.
Mix poppy seed, sugar, flour, salt & 1/2 cup milk to smooth paste.
Scald 1 1/2 cups milk, add the flour mixture slowly.
Boil 5 minutes (turn the heat down if necessary)
Beat egg yolks & vanilla, add slowly to custard white stirring rapidly & cook five more minutes.
Cool.
Put the mixture of crumbs, brown sugar & butter in pyrex pan. Pour custard over. Beat egg whites stiff , add 6Tbls. sugar, beat until thick & holds peaks.
Put over top and sprinkle with crumbs. Bake 15 minutes at 325 degrees.
Like most of the family recipes from Wisconsin, this is not Scottish, or French Candadian, but Eastern European! Which, I always find rather amusing, since it is actually on my Dad's side of the family (Nebraskan pioneers) that I'm descended in part from Moravia (the Tesars, Yuraceks, and Ludvics).
Tumblr media
One of my favorite pics of my great grandparents--what are they smiling about?
Tumblr media
Great Grandma with one of my mom’s 8 brothers.
End Transcript
Doing research this morning I realized that what we thought was an Eastern European recipe is actually German, however it is very much a regional Midwest, especially Wisconsin, traditional favorite.
I’ve been told I look a lot like my Great-Grandma.  She, my mom, and I are tall ladies and all exactly the same height!
I really enjoyed going down this rabbit hole of memories and spending some time with my Great-Gran.  Thanks for hosting @graveyarddirt I know I’m early, but I wanted to get it all down while it was fresh.

I do not own the characters from Downton Abbey the series.
Charlie Parks Bryant Returns to The Village
Charlie came back to the village near Downton Abbey when he was in first grade. His gran and Pappa Bryant were having some troubles , in fact Pappa Bryant had Lost his fortune. He thought about it like big piles of money , hidden away in those buildings Pappa Bryant called his offices. He’d been in one once and hadn’t. Seen ANY money , since Gran couldn’t bring him to a ladies meeting of some sort. So he was with his Pappa for the day, very impressed by the largeness of the place , Just looked very boring , there was nothing fun for children there.
He remembered how his Pappa was red faced and angry at a great many people , whose job it was to “Move” his money if they thought there was something amiss. He believed those people were working just for his Pappa , but he was too young to know about such things as investing.
He woke one morning to his Gran packing a tiny suitcase for him.
“Charlie , my boy , you’ll be going to live with your mother again. Pappa and Gran are having some issues.”
“Mommy will be ever so pleased !” Charlie remembered his mother since his last visit , he thought on her red hair and her maid clothes. He believed his mom a proper ladies maid. In fact since Charlie was sent off with his grandparents Ethel had in fact turned her life around , she became a secretary and was now working in two different offices in town , the news paper and a law office , filing part time and answering the telephone. Three years had passed since his leaving, this homecoming was going to be special.
Ethel Read her telegram :
Coming to village. Stop Mr. Bryant having money troubles. Stop. Must return Charlie to you. Stop. expect us Saturday , October 12. Stop.
Mrs. Daphne Bryant.
Ethel was elated , only she now needed support to make sure Charlie and her had help to care for him while she worked. It felt weird not having to ask for money or Food. She made another visit to Mrs Hughes- Carson, Who even though she sounded harsh , was really a good soul helping Ethel when she was down. Her intent was not to involve Mr. Carson.
That intent would soon be turned on its head when the old man would fall head over heels in love with little Charlie and how charming the little man was. That would only double her support system and prove a bigger blessing for her and her son . Often harsh and unbending with rules Mr. Carson would have no qualms about being a part of Charlie’s life.
Ethel was now at ease about the future. She had extra hands to help with Charlie , and she felt the support and love from the community that once made her feel completely abandoned and Judged.
Ethel and the Carson’s chatted while they waited for the car with Charlie to come.
A car pulled up with a very worried Mr. Bryant getting out of the drivers side.
Charlie was helped out of the car by his Gran. He nearly ran to his mother , but suddenly remembered to hug his Pappa
“Don’t Worry Pappa , you’ll find more money Soon.”
“Oh Charlie , money isn’t an easy business when it all goes down the drain.” Mr Bryant answered the boy .
The boy couldn’t possibly understand big business and investing , he only shared his hope from a child’s view.
“Give your gran a proper good bye now” Ethel reminded her son.
“Love you Granny” he hugged and Kissed Mrs Bryant. Tearfully she answered “ I know , and I love you so much, you remind me so much of your da at this age. You look just like he did. “
“Don’t cry Gran , don’t cry Pappa , everything will get better , look how it did for mommy.”
Charlie only knew he was sent to live with gran and Pappa because mommy had no money for them to live with. And now that was better on her end.
He knew there were good times and bad times , and that was the simplest answer from a little man to adults now facing the uncertainties of life. He hugged his gran and Pappa once more and watched them get back in the car.
“Hello Charlie , I’m Mrs Carson this is my Husband Mr Carson. He’s a Charlie too you know .” Mrs Carson introduced herself even though she’d been near the boy on occasion.
“I’m Charlie”. he held his hand out to Mr. Carson. Mr. Carson took his tiny hand by two fingers and shook his hand.
“You’re really tall , are you a giant?” Charlie Asked
Flustered at such a question a smile spread on the old man’s face.
“I seem like a giant to most people , so you could say I was .” Mr Carson giggled at the question.
“Mrs. And Mrs Carson will help collect you from school while mommy works at the newspaper and law offices.”
“I behave better than most the boys at my old school , my teacher said , only they said I can talk one’s ear off , whatever that means , I want to learn more about gold and diamonds and those money offices my Pappa Bryant is mad at. They LOST all his money you know … Do you have money in those offices Mr Carson?”
“Many people DON’T have the kind of money to Put in those offices , in fact it’s better we didn’t , then we Shan’t lose it .” Mr. Carson giggled at Charlie’s string of talk.
“I’m good in math , writing , only I don’t like reading or spelling tests … I love gardening and kite building and catching wild things , only my gran said not to catch rats anymore , they have diseases. Did you know they can climb? ….”
The Carson’s and Ethel laughter made him stop only momentarily … he began telling tales about school and how some classmate was hiding rats in a janitors room… they had free entertainment for life.

Tumblr media
❀ he's been watching you for a while now— his team's manager
❀ everyone knew you've recently became a new mom— as well as how your child's dad went MIA a few weeks after you gave birth, left a note breaking things off with you and saying he wasn't ready to be a dad
❀ you usually had your mom or a relative take care of your baby while you went to work, but this time no one was available so you had to bring your son with you
❀ standing by the corner of the crowded cafeteria, he kept on glancing at you obviously struggling to pacify your baby
❀ he didn't like the piercing cries of the child in your arms so he decided to help you, or so he convinced himself
❀ in reality, he couldn't take seeing you so panicked anymore— it agitates him so much
❀ he was trying to remember what komori taught him about babies as he walked over to where you stood
"have you tried feeding it?" he asked nonchalantly, standing a good foot away from you as he tried to peer over your shoulder
"him" you replied, exhaustion and frustration dripping from your tone, "and yeah, i just did"
you sighed
"give me"
it wasn't everyday that sakusa offered help so you jumped at the opportunity, supporting your child's neck and back as sakusa took him, doing the same
❀ he laid the baby on his chest, gently tapping at his back
❀ after a few moments he let out a small burp the baby not sakusa skdka
❀ he handed your child back to you, now silently chewing on his hand, saying he "just needed to burp"
❀ your face felt hot, embarrassed that you had no idea
❀ sakusa just placed a hand on your head and smiled behind his mask before leaving, he knows you needed all the help you can get right now and he, albeit wordlessly, made sure you're aware that he's willing to provide that help
❀ since then he regularly drops by your apartment and helps you clean and take care of your baby saying he's just making sure there weren't any germs near the kid
❀ lets you take naps as he watch your kid— but not before taking a bath, he has spare clothes in your closet
❀ the team notices how he's always over at your place
"omi-kun you're always over at y/n's, might as well move in with her"
"if she wants me to, i don't see any problem with it" he said so casually it made you whip your head to his direction
"do you... want to?" he looked away from you without an answer, avoiding your eyes, "omi-kun do you want to move in with us?"
"i said, if you wanted to" he replied, still avoiding your gaze and cheeks tinted red
Tumblr media
❀ you met him at the wet market; well, your daughter did
❀ you noticed her run off while you were buying ingredients for your lunch and stocking up your fridge, quickly trying to catch up to her
❀ she was giddily running around, little 3 year old legs not taking her too far before bumping into a stranger's leg
❀ falling to her bum, your daughter looked up to see brown eyes looking down at her
"i'm sorry, are you alright?"
he helped the child up, holding her steady as he dusted off her bottom
by the time you caught up with the both of them, he already had your daughter in his arms, asking her where her mom was with a smile
"there she is!" she said with a giggle
"baby, what did i tell you about running off on your own?" you scolded her with a tired smile as kita handed her over to you, thanking him kindly
❀ after that encounter, he started to notice you more and more; in the wet market, around the neighbourhood, and in the topics of local grannies
❀ you moved in recently, shortly after your daughter's dad bailed out on the both of you, leaving you to raise her alone; or so he's heard
❀ he would always give you a soft smile and an acknowledging nod whenever you two see each other
❀ it wasn't until his grandmother asked him to bring over some vegetables to your house that he had the chance to have an actual conversation with you
"gran wanted you to have this"
"oh thank you very much", you beamed at him while taking the basket, "do you maybe want to come inside? i'll prepare some tea"
he was about to decline the offer, but the joyful look on your child's face the moment she sees kita convinced him to do otherwise
❀ the two of you talked over tea and snacks while your daughter sat on his lap, playing with his large hand
❀ you couldn't help but smile at the both of them, your daughter never one to be this playful with others, kita didn't seem too bothered either
❀ time passed and kita needed to go back home, much to your daughter's dismay
❀ he didn't want to upset your kid too much so it was decided he'll come back soon to play with her
❀ it became a regular thing for kita to stop by your house on his way home from the fields— spending time with you and your daughter slowly becoming routine
❀ he adored your child's little giggles and the way she insisted having him wear the flower crown she made, glancing at you to see you laughing at the sight had him imagining what life would've been like with the two of you
❀ till he realized he was already living that life— looking forward to seeing you both after a hard day of work at the fields, being greeted by warm smiles and a hug, eating dinner together and sharing laughter
❀ it seems like granny wouldn't have to wait too long for a grandchild
Tumblr media
❀ he noticed your 2 year old boy looking—staring, at him from across the restaurant he was having lunch at
❀ so of course he decided to make faces in an attempt to make him laugh
❀ he wiggled his eyebrows at the toddler, waving his hands and cooing— though he wasn't sure if the baby even hears him
❀ the boy decided that tendō pulling at his ears and sticking his tongue out was a winner, letting out a short giggle
❀ you had your back to tendō so you were surprised to see your child laughing when you looked up from your meal
❀ turning around to see tendō making the silliest face, you couldn't help but laugh as well, your son finding it absolutely hilarious and is squealing in delight
❀ tendō's face heated up in embarrassment from being caught but he laughed along nonetheless, shaking his head as you waved your son's tiny hands at him and mouthing 'hello'
❀ he thought you two were adorable so he decided to come up to your table
"you babysitting your nephew? or is that your baby brother?"
you chuckled at him, "he's my son"
"oh"
the redhead's brain buffered for a few moments, "i should get going then, don't wanna offend someone" he laughed awkwardly, hand scratching at his nape
"oh no, it's fine. you're not offending anyone" his eyebrows raised at your reply's implication, "mind taking a seat? my baby seem to like you"
"your baby has great taste" tendō smirked as he slid to the seat opposite yours
"so it seems" you said with a tone that sent a blush straight to his cheeks
❀ the afternoon ended with your number saved on tendō's phone under the name cute baby('s) momma🥺
❀ he texts and calls All The Time; asking how your kid is doing and wanting to see the both of you
❀ after a while of talking and going out, you asked him if he wanted to come over to your place for a visit and he was simply ✨ecstatic✨
❀ spent the whole afternoon crawling around your living room chasing your son, squeals and giggles echoing throughout your house
❀ you've never seen your son be this comfortable with anyone that isn't you and you're just grateful that tendō adores your child as much as your child adores him
❀ when tendō walked up to you— your son in his arms, sleeping soundly on his shoulder, you offered to take the child but he refused and opted to pull you close with his free hand
❀ he leaned against the kitchen counter, both you and your son in his arms as you asked him in a whisper, "can you stay?"
❀ understanding what you meant was more than staying for the night, he answered with a definite "for as long as you want to, of course" before pressing a kiss on your temple

more harry and neville (+ teddy) headcanons cause I'm way too soft for them
a plus to this post of mine
at 20 years old, when they tell people they're together, they're met with multiple chorus of "what do you mean you're only dating now? we thought you guys had been together for the past two years"
in everyone's defence, they were 100% the kind of friends that are so close you think they're a couple
like, neville would wear harry's jersey during quidditch matches in 8th year. multiple times, ron woke up in the morning and freaked out because harry's and neville's beds were empty, only to run down the stairs and find them passed out on top of each other in the common room sofa after spending all night talking. they were constantly hugging and cuddling and kissing each other's cheeks and foreheads and hands. also, they moved into a cottage in the middle of nowhere together
so I guess it was pretty easy for their friends and families to Assume
harry gives grimmauld place a drastic reform and turns it into an institution where children with abusive households and werewolves with nowhere to go can live and/or transform safely. apart from being a home, the place also works as a mental health clinic and offers a stock of wolfsbane potion, and the inhabitants have free access to both. a big part of harry's and neville's money goes to maintaining this
neville loves dancing and can play the piano. harry can't move his hips to save his life and can only barely play the guitar. they still manage to sway around lazily to songs and sing cheesy duets though
they both have tattoos, both magical and muggle, but harry has a lot more
they almost never call each other by the name, it's always "haz" and "nev". because of that, teddy starts calling them "hazzy" and "nevvy" once he learns to talk and never loses the habit, even as an adult
the two of them and andy make sure teddy knows as much about remus and tonks as he can, and don't intend to replace them, but everyone knows that when he says "my parents" instead of "mom and dad" he's referring to harry and neville
to teddy, andromeda is "grandma" (because it has "ma" in it and she was one of the people who raised him and he does see her as a parental figure), molly is "granny" (because it ends in "y" like her name) and augusta is "gran" (because that's what neville called her). don't judge the reasons, he was 5 at the time he came up with these and they just stuck
teddy gets too agitated to sleep when it's a full moon, so harry and neville take him on midnight trips on the lands around the cottage. by the time he's a teenager and allowed to go alone, teddy puts on headphones and walks those hills, forest and river like second nature
after neville casually proposes while watching a movie in their living room sofa, he runs to their bedroom and comes back with the longbottom family ring. it was tradition for it to be given as an engagement gift, so neville slips it to harry's right hand just as frank did to alice twenty five years before
when they go to st. mungos to tell neville's parents they were getting married, alice gives harry a gum wrapper
when they tell augusta, she smiles, pets harry's cheek and says "welcome to the family". everyone was shocked at the scene and to this day the woman denies it ever happened
minerva walks harry down the isle
they have their names hyphenated as Potter-Longbottom but use only their own as professors
when harry is having a bad day, he lays his head on neville's chest and asks him to read anything aloud just so he can listen to his voice
when neville is having a bad day, he wears one of harry's shirts and rewatches a comfort movie. harry makes him tea, cuddles close on the sofa and watches it with him every time
neville speaks fluent french. sometimes him and teddy will only speak french with each other all day just to annoy harry
harry gave teddy his first piercing, at 13, while ignoring neville freaking out about it over his shoulder
both neville and teddy have adhd. harry develops little routines and strategies to make things easier from them on the daily
the weasleys absolutely adore neville. for real. he's ginny's best friend, harry's husband, gentle, kind, friendly and will ramble about plants at any given opportunity, of course molly takes him under her wing the second he steps into the burrow.
teddy's room in the cottage has always looked kind of the same since they moved in when he was 1, he never made any big changes over the years. the walls are yellow and the ceiling is enchanted like the Great Hall at hogwarts to look like it's always a starry night sky
when harry has a nightmare and can't fall back asleep, neville sings to him until he does
when it's neville who can't fall asleep, harry gives him a warm bath with those calming bath bombs luna is always sending them

Restless Rewatch: The Untamed Episode 07 part one
(Masterpost)
Warning: Spoilers for All 50 Episodes!
Tumblr media
Clan Sanren
Lanny Granny gets a second wind and continues her Yin Iron Webinar.
Wei Wuxian explains that although he was adopted by the Jiang Clan, Baoshan Sanren is his grandmaster, via his mom. Lan Yi claims to think that this is pretty great.
Tumblr media
Lan Yi: Wow, amazing, my ex girlfriend who I dumped has settled down and started her own family Clan now, that’s so great. I’m so happy for her. So happy. So great. I mean, when I left I didn’t really picture her finding happiness first, you know? I kind of expected to have settled down myself by now but it’s hard to date when you’re trapped in an ice cave putting headbands on rabbits for 100 years. But it’s fine! I love my life and I’m sure eventually I’ll find that special rabbit person.  Anyway I’m just...SUPER happy for Baoshan. Really. Really happy. For Baoshan.
Lan Wangji also appears to have thoughts about it, because he reacts pretty intently.
Tumblr media
 Lan+Sanren 4EvR.
Wang Yibo is looking extra fine in this cave sequence, with no headband to distract from his fierce eyebrows.
Lan Wangji asks Lan Yi if she’s the one who pulled them into the cave, and she says nope, and then nobody ever explains how they ended up in the cave. “Perhaps it’s destiny” does not count as an explanation.
Tumblr media
Lan Gran explains that her battery is running down. The Lan bunnies are not energizer bunnies, apparently. She also tells them that it’s impossible to destroy the Yin Iron and that the only solution is to put it back in the cave and try to suppress it again.
(more after the cut)
However by Episode 23 it inexplicably becomes super easy to destroy the Yin Iron...
Tumblr media
...meaning Lan Yi spent 100 years in a cave for nothing, other than writing the Definitive Guide to Rabbit Headbands.
Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji get back into Hardy Boys cultivator mode, but this time with an extremely long held gaze, which I think is their first time doing this.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I mean...even if these boys are 100% neurotypical (and hello, they are not), this is a LOT of eye contact. I can't gaze that long at anything except my phone screen.
We Will Achieve The Thing Together
Narrator: they will not achieve the thing
The reason I got into c-drama in the first place is, after decades of western storytelling tropes, it’s so refreshing to watch a story and have literally no idea what’s going to happen. Even when the story sets things up to happen a certain way according to my learned experience of stories, it just doesn’t play out that way. For example, if you’re watching The Lost Tomb Reboot and you expected the jade-mining sequence to end with a slave uprising, you were as surprised as I was.
Tumblr media
Here Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian promise to do their best to find and suppress the Yin iron. Lan Wangji is going to fail at this, allowing this here piece to fall into the hands of the Wens, because unlike his uncle he's not willing to let his clan die to protect it.
Wei Wuxian is going to take his not-doing-the-thing several steps further, finding and refining his very own piece of extra-badass Yin iron. Yes, he has reasons for this and a lot of stuff happens along the way, but in terms of your typical quest storyline, it would be as if Frodo figured out how to use the one ring to kick Sauron’s ass, rather than (with help) destroying it. Again: this is why I LIKE c-drama.
Lan Wangji tries to shut Wei Wuxian out of his quest and Wei Wuxian makes a short but utterly character-defining speech.
You can’t stop me
I know what’s right.
Tumblr media
And then he says that his Grandmaster Baoshan Sanren was isolated because of the Yin Iron, and he has a responsibility to her. Lan Yi agrees. So...he just kinda quit the Jiang Clan right there, didn’t he? In favor of eventually becoming a wandering cultivator like his Grandmaster and clan uncle (Xiao Xichen), and like his mother.
He is also going to follow in his father’s footsteps by upsetting his Clan Leader when he falls in love. Gosh, he also, like his parents, will die and leave an orphan to fend for himself. So -- the apple doesn't fall far from the tree I guess.
Tumblr media
He doesn't realize the pickle he’s getting himself into, of course. Being Wei Wuxian, he thinks he can balance all of his increasing obligations, but being human, he won’t be able to.
Pardon Our Entwinement
Lan Yi leaves to catch the spiritual plane, the Yin iron drops, the ward breaks, and Wen Ning appears to download a new software update. The kind that breaks your video driver and photoshops your eyeballs.
Tumblr media
Wen Qing comes nosing around the cave wall, and Jiang Cheng stops by to ask what she’s up to.
Tumblr media
He hopes she’s trying to find his brother, just like he will fail to do for her & her brother one day.
Tumblr media
The boys fall out of the wall together, in a nice example of the “oops I’m accidentally humping you” c-drama romance trope. To keep it censor-friendly, Wei Wuxian is actually on the ground next to Lan Wangji’s right knee but the shot is framed so that at a glance he appears to be in a much cozier position.
Tumblr media
Lan Wangji goes on an expression journey don’t say facial through several “oh shit we’re caught” faces, while Wei Wuxian shows Lan Wangji a few iterations of his oh-face.
Tumblr media
Jiang Cheng wants to know what the fuck they have been getting up to for a day and a night.
The movie wasn't so hot, it didn't have much of a plot, we fell asleep our goose is cooked our reputation is shot
Wen Qing detects that they were somewhere cold and decides it’s her turn to ask nosy questions. Lan Wangji does the guilty startle thing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Fortunately Wei Wuxian doesn’t have that problem.
Tumblr media
He turns his answer into a prolonged whine about how cold it was, how lost they were, etc. This annoys Jiang Cheng into dropping it and saying they should head back.
Tumblr media
I’m awesome right? so awesome right?
Wei Wuxian gives Lan Wangji a significant look to show that he’s deploying a rhetorical strategy on purpose to distract his questioner. Lan Wangji super does not know how to do that.
Flute + Yin Iron = Profit
Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji get to watch as Lan Qiren and Lan Xichen tame the hunk of iron and stick it in the bag of holding. Wei Wuxian pays verrrryyy careful attention to this whole “use a flute to control the Yin iron” lesson.
Tumblr media
Lan Xichen really should reconsider his music-lessons side hustle. Arguably this one doesn’t turn out as badly for him personally as teaching guqin to Jin Guangyao does, but it doesn’t turn out great, either.
知己啊  - zhi-ji-ah
This mostly-tedious Yin Iron conversation with the elders includes a super-important WangXian moment.
Tumblr media
Wei Wuxian calls Lan Wangji his zhiji. This is the same word he will use later in the “what am I to you?” conversation during the Jin night hunt, and the word Lan Xichen will use when saying why Lan Wangji wouldn’t repudiate him during his forced isolation. As always, for the full meaning of this word, @hunxi-guilai is brills.
A Wen spy bird shows up, and Lan Wangji really wants to chase it, but Lan Xichen says no.
Tumblr media
This happens a lot, actually. Lan Wangji is not a cool-headed person, despite appearances.  Likewise the boys want to go searching for the Yin Iron and the adults want them to slow their roll.
Tumblr media
Being a teenager is frustrating, particularly with a classic “I didn’t actually listen to you before making a decision” adult like Lan Qiren in charge.
Lying is my First Class Spiritual Tool
Nie Huasang shows up and has his usual hilariously varied reaction to Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji - an enthusiastic “Wei-Xiong!” followed by a nervous & meek “Lan Er Gongzi” and a bow to Lan Wangji.
Tumblr media
He wants to know what happened and Wei Wuxian once again shows his powers of rhetoric.
Tumblr media
I like to call it my “devil snake.”
He puts off all of Nie Huaisang’s potential questions by really knowing his questioner well and completely distracting him.
This time Lan Wangji seems impressed.
Tumblr media
Jelly Jiang Cheng
Young Master Cockblock shows up and lets loose with a display of total naked jealousy. That carving on Wei Wuxian’s bed back in Lotus Pier...is that him and Jiang Cheng? Because damn, this boi is jealous.
Tumblr media
...and so is Lan Wangji, apparently, or at least he’s disappointed to have Wei Wuxian taken away from him like that.
Tumblr media
Yearn Mode Enabled
Club Ruohan’s Foyer
Wen Chao and Xue Yang stand awkwardly in Wen Ruohan’s vestibule talking to the boss through a giant door, because sure, why not.
Tumblr media
This doesn’t bother Xue Yang, who as usual has no fucks to give. Except that today, Wen Ruohan tells him that the budget for his project finally got approved, which lifts his spirits quite a bit.
Tumblr media
His project to single-handedly slaughter an entire clan, and he is super excited about the kickoff meeting.
Wen Chao is mopey because his brother gets all the good murder assignments and his dad doesn’t appreciate him. Boo fucking hoo.
Tumblr media
Periodic reminder that He Peng looks like this when he’s not playing Wen Chao.

Part 2 coming soon!

Yesterday, my grandma called my mom and was like “our flag is twisted, but the flagpole is very stuck in the ground and we can’t get it out to fix it.” My brother and i were both home, so Granny (great lady, little sexist) asks for my brother. Mom’s like, he’s working, I got this. Gran’s like, no, you really don’t. And Mom’s like, okay, I’ll bring some help.
I am help.
We go over to Grandmama’s house, and Mom tries to get the damn flagpole out of the ground herself first, because she is also unhappy with Gamma’s sexism. Doesn’t budge. At all. She admits defeat and asks me to give it a try. Grandmother is walking toward us from the house, bundled up for the cold.
And, I shit you not, I pulled that flagpole from the ground like it was fucking Excalibur. I touched that thing and it leapt from the ground and out into my hands. Am I the second coming of King Arthur? Am I the future President of the United States? Am I the next best candidate for Project Rebirth and the super soldier serum?
Doesn’t matter to me, really (yes it does, I looked fucking badass, you don’t even know) but now, in the eyes of my Nana I’m just as strong as my brother.

Bloodlines AU - Misfire
The following skit you are about to read is based on a roleplay between me and my friend @darksaiyangoku involving my BlackSun offspring, Alex Belladonna. Dialogue has been tweaked to break free of me and others’ usual transcript format.
Blake guided her daughter through a killing house constructed from a spare shack outside her family’s manor. Alex had her flintlock-esque pistol at the ready scanning the room, while Blake had Gambol Shroud aimed at their 6′o clock as they both kept scanning.
All targets eliminated on the 1st and 2nd floors. But the clock was running as the third floor had one room left. With 50 seconds to go, they had to find it.
“Who’s taking which side, mom?” Alex inquired.
“You take the 3 on the left,” Blake answered when they stopped at the door to the target room. “I take the 3 on the right.”
“Got it, got it.” Alex replied with a nod.
Shifting Gambol Shroud into it’s kusarigama form, Blake swung it across the room being careful not to hit Alex or their her own targets. With a viscous shout, she went for the kill.
Alex peaked inside, twirling her flintlock and snapping her fingers. In it spawned an orb of ghost-fire which she quickly bounced off into the door frame and inside. But the fire didn’t burn anything up, instead it was meant to blind targets which thankfully affected neither Huntress present.
------------------------
Blake was not impressed by her kid’s stunt. Sun immediately noticed when they came back appearing irritated.
“Okay...Let’s just take some space from each other, girls.” Sun offered.
“Yeah, dad.” Alex sulked, handing Sun her pistol.
Blake sighed. “I’m gonna go see mom for a bit, honey.” She told Sun.
Before Sun could ask if training really sucked that hard, their daughter went straight to her room while Blake headed to the gardens.
Inside the tiny greenhouse, Kali was busy feeding the fish. One of her favorite activities while Ghira was off on diplomatic work. Had to kill time somehow when your spouse is a politician.
Kali greeted Blake who sulked over to the bench.
“Great...” Alex moaned from her bedroom window, shutting it and putting on her cat earbuds booting up one of her RPGs on the computer.
“Hey mom.” Blake said.
“Is everything okay, dear?” Kali asked, seeing Blake shake her head. “Would you like to talk about it?” She then offered.
“I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t.” The assassin answered. “Training with Alex got a little...Overwhelming.”
“Overwhelming?” The grandmother questioned.
“Well, no. It’s hard to find the right words, but the way Alex is progressing has me concerned. She’s way too comfortable using magic during combat, almost to a fault. It’s lazy and frankly, irresponsible. What if she ends up attacking one of her teammates by mistake? I got lucky, I’m not sure others would.” Blake rambled.
Sun peaked in seeing his wife in her current state of Blake-y-ness. In an attempt to break the tension he offered to check on their little girl after asking if the women needed anything.
Kali replied with some of her son-in-law’s famous banana cream pie. Going to check for leftovers, Sun then turned to Blake. She requested her husband to go fix up some tea. Soon as he left, Kali offered to go talk to Alex later on. To which Blake reassured that she could handle it.
------------------------
Last she left off, the teen was fighting a loot boss. The Belladonna scion frowned, tail flicking along with her ears being drooped as she left-clicked away at the boss’ minions thinking about how upset she made her mother.
An hour after a kitchen search for leftover pie and some tea, Sun went up to Alex’s room, knocking on the door to see her in sad sack mode.
“Ale- -”
“SHIT!” Alex exclaimed, slipping out of her chair and dropping her headset on the carpet floor. “Ohh, fuck my life. Need something, dad?” She asked Sun while attempting to ensure her ears weren’t cracked.
“Yeah. How you doing, pumpkin?” Sun cooed.
“Eh. Tell you the truth, I feel like I really screwed things up with mom.” Alex answered.
“How much did you hear?” Sun continued.
“Enough to know that my training is probably on hold.” She bitterly answered.
“You’re not in trouble, honey.” Sun corrected her. “Otherwise you probably wouldn’t be farming this boss here. Also, Fire Resistance affix. Just saying.” He then joked.
“I tried using the best fire gem I got.” She shrugged. “Anyway, I’m guessing mom wants to talk?” The girl asked.
“Well, you grandmother does.” Sun replied.
Immediately getting the memo, the young sorceress gave her father a thankful kiss on the cheek going downstairs to join Kali in the gardens.
------------------------
Seeing that the tea was ready as she poured herself a cup, Kali smiled at her granddaughter who was awkwardly staring at the floor, ears flattened.
“You wanted to see me, granny?” She asked.
“I did. Come here, sweetie.” Kali insisted, patting a seat.
While the matriarch swirled her tea, Alex’s ears seemed to flatten further expecting a scolding. Kali wasn’t always the fun grandparent, after all.
“I think mom’s angry.” The younger cat began.
“She’s not angry. Just concerned.” Kali corrected.
Shaking her head, Alex muttered something. “I can handle my Magic. I’m not- -Granny, I’m using it to- -”
“Can you repeat that?” Kali asked, cupping one of her Human ears.
“I’m using my Magic because I’m not scared of it!” The teen blurted. “Back when mom was feeling worried about if I had dad as my favorite, I overheard her talking about how it felt like she was scared of her own Semblance again!”
Although Kali was stuttered, she still offered a hug. “Oh, honey. Come here.” She said, embracing her.
“I like to show it off because I don’t want you guys to worry so much.” Alex said with her and Kali’s animal ears brushing up. “But- -I don’t know where to start with hiding it.” She admitted when they released.
“I never said anything about hiding it all.” The elder cat said. “I’m proud of having a sorceress for a granddaughter.” She admitted.
What Kali spoke of was the presence of magical beings in this post-Salem world of Remnant. In Ozpin’s ascension to the afterlife so that he could finally be at peace, he had made a deal with the deity brothers to destroy the four Relics, spilling their energies out into Remnant.
This ‘Reliquary Cascade’ had even gone so far as to bring back select magi from the old world before the collapse of the first iteration of Humanity. But in Alex’s case, she received powers of witchcraft from being near a shrine full of dark magics.
The shrine detonated, causing her as a kitten to being stuck in a space between the spiritual and physical planes of existence on Remnant. Now, she primarily uses her powers as a means of crowd control with hexes, circles and lots of ghost-fire.
“I mean, I know the whole ‘secret society’ thing we have going on.” Alex continued, despite not being a member of it. “If I or any other magical kids show off our powers, people freak out. So I like to show it off in your company.” She then confessed with her shoulders slumping.
Showboating was one of Alex’s habits she picked up. Being a prankster like her dad, Sun, she always enjoyed a good joke or display of awesomeness. There were a lot of green fireworks on Menagerie’s day of independence.
“I get it now. We’re not saying to stop, just maybe take a step back for a bit during your training?” Kali suggested. “Your mother wants your physical prowess to be at peak condition. And your powers are wonderful, but it shouldn’t have to be your end-all-be-all style.”
“Right.” The younger cat replied. “I wanna be as badass of a swordswoman as her, if not more. I’m just not a kitten anymore, Gran. I gotta prove it. Was I lost in the moment?” She pondered.
“Maybe a little.” Kali answered with a nod.
“Clock was ticking, so I had to think of something. I don’t even have a good one in mind for blinking to a target.” She said in reference to her ability to teleport a short distance. “Did your Semblance ever scare you?” She then asked.
Kali gave a grim pause.
“...Very much.” She finally answered. “Alex...My Semblance was as dangerous as it came. You’ve heard about the myths of the Berzerks, right? The ones your Aunt Nora told you about?” Kali asked.
“You were one of ‘em.” She plainly guessed.
“Yes, and that was also my Semblance.” Her grandmother answered. Almost like a war flashback. “I was much stronger and faster but at the cost of my sanity. I would lose myself more and more every time I used it.”
“How’d you keep it together?” Alex asked.
“It took plenty of training, combined with intense meditation.” Kali said looking less horrified. “In the end, my Semblance was more focused. My sanity was kept intact and it helped me during battle.” She admitted with another smile.
“Was this before or after you met grandpa?”
“During, actually.” Kali answered, her old smile widening. “You’re not a kitten, Alex. You’re growing up to be a fine magi and Huntress. And we couldn’t be prouder of you for that.” She said, now grinning.
------------------------
Finishing her tea and giving her grandmother a quick hug, Alex ran up to Blake’s room to see her less irritated on the bed and relaxing with a book. She tried knocking on the door only to step on a squeaky floorboard.
“I know it’s you, Alex.” Blake spoke without her eyes diverting from the book.
“You got me.” She said, opening the door fully.  “I just talked with gran. How are you feeling?” The teen then asked.
Blake still didn’t remove her gaze from the book.
“A little disappointed, I won’t lie.” She scolded. “You’ve got a knack for magic and I won’t forbid you from using it, but you can’t just throw it out there willy-nilly. It’s dangerous.” She then added.
“Yeah, I...I was being a moron about it.” She admitted. “I just wanted to prove that I didn’t fear my own powers. That I coulda used it in a...Clutch moment.” Her ears flattened as she confessed her mistake. “I just wanted to see if we were cool. And if we could try again tomorrow.”
Looking up from her book and sighing, Blake sat up.
“Alex, I understand what you’re feeling and that you don’t fear your powers. That you’ve learned to embrace them.” She said, holding her daughter’s chin up. “But using them too much is another extreme. If you focus too much on your witchcraft while neglecting your other skills, they can falter. You gotta keep in mind how others could be affected if any of your spells backfire.” She concluded.
“I can’t live with the idea of them affecting you, dad, Gran, or anyone else who’s not in my crosshairs hanging over my head. I’m- -Well, I’m sorry.” Alex moped.
And then, Blake embraced her kitten. “I’m sorry too.” She replied.
Their remorseful hug lasted for a minute, with Alex pillowing the side of her head into Blake’s chest with the tension gone.
“What’s tomorrow looking like, then?” She asked.
Blake smiled.
“Another training session.” She answered.
------------------------
By the time they reached the third room of the killing house again, there were 20 seconds left. Alex noticed her targets popping up rapidly as if it were Whack-A-Grimm.
“Crap, I can’t make out which is which!” Alex exclaimed.
“Use those sticky bombs I gave you.” Blake insisted, cocking Gambol Shroud and firing.
Alex nodded, using some of her mother’s sticky grenades she borrowed. She chucked both and hit one target. Could’ve hit the second, but the buzzer blared with Blake winning the challenge.
“Argh!” Alex grunted. “Okay, mom. We’re even.” She conceded, inserting a fresh clip into her pistol.
“That wasn’t so bad, Hellcat.” Blake admitted. “Though, this is what you get for neglecting your physical condition.” She teased.
“Yep. Guess I’ll join dad and Yang in the gym next time before this.” The teen snarked.
“Well I don’t know about you, but I’ve worked up a good appetite. You hungry?” ?her mother offered.
“Normally I’d ask about kahuna burgers.” She replied.
“But we’ve got salmon fillets!” Blake beamed.
“Oh fuc- -Er, hell yeah.” Alex caught herself.
“I’ll pretend you almost didn’t swear, young lady.” Blake said with a glare.
“Yes, mother.” She said. “Let’s eat!”

Title: None Summary: Chadwick gives you a gift money can't buy.
You were deep in Christmas spirit all month, so much that you had set up the tree the day after Thanksgiving. Shopping for gifts for friends and family was always an adventure for you, you put a lot of thought into all of them and some of them you didn't swipe your card to get, and that was what Chadwick had semi did for you this year, of course he spoiled you with limited edition jewelry from high end stores, seasonal hand soaps and candles that you like so much. All materialistic things aside, the gift he was most excited to get for you was currently sitting underneath the big green tree ready to be opened, his heart was pounding and he caught himself glancing at it most of the evening. The smile already on your face would only get bigger once you see what he has in store for you, he just knows it. The hours couldn't go by fast enough for him, everyone started to arrive at yours and Chadwick's house around 4:30 and were just hanging out, one of your eldest cousins had brought his bluetooth speakers and played music...music that the elders weren't very fond of "boy turn that mess off, all that cussin!" his mama had yelled from the screen door, after he was made to play some oldies, Chad had came up from behind you and held your waist to turn you around "Dance with me baby", you chuckled and let him wrap you in his arms while Con Funk Shun's Straight from the Heart played, he'd pull back slightly every now and then to give you random kisses on the cheeks and lips "Can't wait till everyone leaves so I can-" you cut him off with a kiss of your own then give him a knowing look "Do you not know how to whisper boy?" he grins before hiding his face into your neck while the rest of the song plays. You've given him so much this year and shared many special moments together, he had asked you to marry him in August, you both brought a house in July, you watched him get honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, this year had been good to the both of you, with too many surprises to count, and he had his own under his sleeve, another one to finish off the year.
And when it was finally time to open the gifts he went back to glancing at the one gift he was the most eager for you to open, and when you finally gotten to it, he couldn't break his concentration of waiting to see your reaction, and when he finally saw it, it was worth the anticipation "what is it baby?" your aunt asks as she tries to get a closer look. It was a cookbook, but not just any cookbook, it was a custom made cookbook with a picture of your late grandmother when she was in her late twenties, you recognized it as one of the very few pictures that she had of herself when she was young, and they were all destroyed in the small fire that happened at your parents house, devastated was an understatement, you were completely crushed, and along with those pictures were a stack of recipes that she had written down of your favorite sweets. Chadwick himself had wished that there was something he could do for a long time to make up for it, he had a guilty feeling even though he didn't do anything, it's not like he started the fire. It wasn't until when you both went back to your hometown to visit your parents for their anniversary when you two were out and about, and went to go to a mom and pop store that Chadwick had gotten the best idea. You had knew the elderly couple that owned the store and they went to high school with your grandmother, while you were off on the other side of the store he had already picked out what he wanted and was waiting for you, and while he was waiting he struck up a conversation with them both, when they begin to talk about your grandmother he had learned about some new details about her that he somehow never knew before, it seemed impossible since you talked about her often. He learned that when she was young she would compete in food competitions, and would win or be in first to second place in nearly all of them, she was pretty locally famous for it, over the years her ribbons that she'd win would eventually be lost, all except for two, one first place ribbon and for the best peach cobbler, those two ribbons were framed at a local soul food restaurant that your grandmother used to be a waitress at when she was younger. He couldn't seem to wipe the smile off of his face after finding out this information, thinking that this could be something that could give you some closure after loosing some items that were the only thing you and your father had left of her since she was his mother.
"Chadwick...what is this?" you held the book to your chest and looked at him teary eyed, and your dad looked on and wiped a stray tear from his face, Chad had told your father about the gift and yesterday he gave him his own early one, that being one of the two ribbons that survived all of these years "That picture wasn't the only one of your granny, it was taken when she was 28, she was at a fair that she won a dessert contest at, she won first place for her peach cobbler" everyone awed as you opened the book to see that it looked like a professional number one selling cookbook, the pages were glossy along with the pictures of the food and sweets that were next to recipes, your grans recipes, the ones that you thought for sure were lost forever. While you were flipping through the pages he explained further "Mama Rachael's restaurant where she used to wait tables at, Mama Rachael's great nephew owns it now, and when I explained the story of the fire he let me have the ribbons and the picture, and the recipes that his great aunt kept in a lock box in the office, your granny and Mama Rachael were close, so close that your granny asked her to keep some of her most prized possessions before she had moved away with your granddaddy, she gotten tired of things being lost every time they moved, she knew Mama Rachael would take good care of it". That's when your dad had nodded and followed with "I completely forgotten about that, the recipes that got lost in the fire weren't the originals, mama had written them down for your mama so that she can know her secrets, she gave it to her after we had gotten married". Your mother was now the one to get teary eyed as she remembered that day, it was a sweet gesture to "welcome her into the family", when Chadwick had gotten a hold of all of this he had the cookbook made for you and gave the original recipes to your parents, after this your dad didn't want to take anymore chances and had bought a waterproof and fireproof safe to put the families sentimental valuables in, some of which included the ribbon and recipes, it made him feel silly that he didn't think to do all of this sooner. You got up to hug him, and you hugged him tight while crying into his chest, he has done a lot for you and given you so much, but this will forever stick with you, this was one of the things in your life that meant the world to you, "Baby baby baby" you whispered then gave him a deep kiss, it was all too much, he put so much work into this, and it made you appreciated him more "and all I got you was a hublot watch" you say and chuckles while caressing your cheek "baby with how much money you payed for that hublot you could've payed a New Yorker’s rent for a year" you laugh and playfully smack his chest, "Oh, you forgot the ribbon” he had moved from your embrace to get the box the cookbook came in to hand you the ribbon that she had won for her peach cobbler “This all too much” you hugged him again, “Only the best for you babe” he whispered in your ear before kissing the back of it, Merry Christmas to you.

Grandma | Dominic Deangelis
Request: Can u do a Dom imagine where he meets the readers family for the first time and he's all chill about it but she's freaking out bc her family is like super weird and she worried that her older brother and her dad won't like him and then everything works out in the end and yeah lol thx luv ur blog babu 😘
WARNINGS: I honestly don’t even know what this is
Tumblr media
“Baby, it’s gonna be fine, if your parents are anything like you they’ll love me,” He smiled pulling you into his arms. You sighed during your head into his shoulder. Surely it would be fine, your family isn’t that weird, that’s a lie.
“It’s just, my family is like this giant group of circus freaks,” You mumbled.
“And you’re the ringleader,” he smirked causing you to pull away and hit his arm lightly. “I’m kidding, but I’m also not, you’re far from normal,” He smiled rubbing up and down your arms.
“You’re not helping Dom,” you groaned throwing your head back.
“Sorry, sorry.”
Your nerves got even worse when you finally pulled up to your parent's house. “Please don’t say anything stupid,” You pleaded squeezing your eyes shut tightly.
“Babe, it’s gonna go great!” He laughed squeezing your hand. “
Why aren’t you nervous, you should be nervous?” You asked, your face laced with confusion.
“I don’t know why you’re worrying, people love me.”
“Stop being cocky Dominic.”
“That’s not what you were saying this morning.”
“Shut up!”
He was right, it had gone great. Your mom, just as you suspected, loved him right off the bat. Your dad and him instantly bonded over the football game on TV, your brother took a bit to get used to your boyfriend, but overall none of them were acting as weird as you thought they would.
When you told Dom that your parents were crazy he didn’t believe you and after meeting your parents today he didn’t think they were strange at all; That's until the two of you came downstairs from your childhood bedroom the next morning to find your parents in the middle of summoning spirits on the dining table. “
Mom, what the hell are you doing?” You asked angrily.
She turned around to look at you with a smile, “We were talking to your grandmother, dear. Dom honey, come meet Granny.” The two of you came over to the table and watched as your parents moved their fingers swiftly on the Ouija board.
“Gran, please tell mom this is ridiculous!” You shouted. The board then spelled out ‘haha she’s embarrassed’.
“Grandma!” You yelled angrily. Dom was stood behind you the entire time laughing so hard he was in tears.
“This isn’t funny,” you scoffed looking at him.
“Gran says she approves,” Your mom smiled at the two of you.
“Oh god,” you muttered putting a hand to your forehead. Today is gonna be something.

Hi 😃 For the ask game 5, 11 and 13 please
Hi, thank you for the ask! :)
5. 5 tv shows that cheer you up
Anything that I can get invested in, so my favourites: Good Omens, Lucifer, The Witcher, Sleepy Hollow,
11. a tip or hack you’ve learned that makes cleaning or tidying easier
I’m coming up blank on this question. I’m no big fan of cleaning while I don’t really mind it either, but I don’t really know hacks that make it easier... Maybe one, vacuum before you water the plants. Water and vacuum cleaner don’t mix.
13. the last so-bad-it’s-good joke you heard
I frequently visit badjokesbyjeff, but here’s one that I’ve heard from somewhere else:
A little girl asks her mother “Mom, why are you always cutting both ends of the Easter ham off?”
Her mother says, “It’s just how my mom used to do it, it is how it’s done.”
The little girl isn’t satisfied, so she visits her grandmother. “Granny, why are you always cutting both ends of the Easter ham off?”
The answer, “It’s just how my mom used to do it, it is how it’s done.”
The girl, still not satisfied, goes on and visits her great-grandma, asks the same question, “Grans, why are you always cutting both ends of the Easter ham off?”
The great-grandma shrugs. “Oh, it’s just so it fits in this damm small pot.”
Ask me soft, stay at home asks

If I had wings
“rain, rain, rain”’
Adventure, all it takes for a small person to win a big fight. I never won a pretty life, but I always win a happy, chatty and an energetic family and also lovable friend’s that I can talk to from day to day about my problems, break ups and girly secrets.
“I’m going out”’
I was always a loved child in the friend’s group, but some feel like I’m being treated differently from the rest of people in the friendship ‘gang’. They try to protect me if there is any bulling in; around my life, social life or even just being out going alone.
Smell of fall is the first thing I sense when opening the front door. Orange, red and brown colored leafs falling down the oak tree near the barn. Dogs barking in the neighborhood, cats calling for milk, birds flying to warm countries, others staying and summer animals hibernating, getting ready for summer I guess.
“While the power of friendship is a year round affair, there is something about fall that fills me with the overwhelming urge, no matter what I am doing, to grab my friends and family and hold onto them extra tightly. Fall makes me want to run, jump and experience as much as I can with those I care about. It’s so easy to get tied down with the mundane in life. The day-to-day tasks we convince ourselves to be so important. The ones that take us away from living and being in the moment, and fostering meaningful, and irreplaceable relationships with our friends and family. Let’s face it, without the power of friendship, there would still be fall, be there would be far too few feelings.”
Forest, deep down in the misty medium lit forest. Barely can see anything apart when walking deeper and deep I experience some unfriendly chills running down my Spain. Not a long far from the distance, about 2 miles ahead I’ve been told there is a shed. A small shed with tools for chopping the trees down I think. I think I might be told a lie because the forest near my house been taken a good care of my great granny then my gran and family generation. From what I know nobody committed suicide, been buried alive or eaten by some wild animal. I just enjoy these autumn walk through the forest. It brings me back the childhood memories off when mom was still alive. She was a very loveable person. We spend so much time together, every second counted of our mother – daughter love. She always told me
“No matter what happens I’ll always be right by your side and guide to your success”
While walking through the dark forest I was thinking about what my mommy would always tell me before I fell asleep so I know I’m always safe with her. I am a brave little girl but……
“You are safe with me. You are never going to be alone in your life. You’re always loved”
“Who’s here?” I said in a calm voice
I heard littles boys voice. It sound like he wanted to say something, but more in a singing voice. I couldn’t really tell because he’s voice was really soft and high. I kept moving forward. At first sight, I wanted to go back I thought there would be no harm if I explore.
“Turn around, turn around, turn around” Whispering into my left ear
I got really bad creeps now. I couldn’t do this anymore, I’m even scared to turn around. So my last option was just to run fort my life.
It starts off with an aerial view of the big city lit up at night; think Vegas. The view pans around for a second before it switches to 3rd person view where I can see myself and I’m sitting at the bar table, drinking and looking around. The mood surrounding me is festive, everyone is laughing and slapping each other on the backs telling jokes and sharing drinks.
Next think I know everyone’s faces in the large room turn and stare directly at me, dropping whatever it is they’re doing (or drinking) as I hearsee peoples glasses fall to the ground and shatter. They gasp and everyone’s face has a look of terrified horror on their face as if they just saw the devil himself./
This is where it got weird.
Everyone went into “fast-forward mode” through the front door of the bar like it was Black Friday at Wal-Mart…except 20x faster.
The camera then pans back to the aerial view of the city and the lights everywhere start flickering out till the whole city is swallowed by the night.
This time it switches to 1st person view, and I feel as if I’m in the body of my future self. I begin taking unsure steps forward, since everything is pitch black around me; crushing broken glass with every other step. I stop when I feel a hot raspy breath breathing down the back of my neck.
I turn around and see two blood red eyes like those of a devil staring into me. It’s eyes then smiled at me and it gave me a raspy sigh..
I woke up the next day in some strange mysterious room. It was dark, but a bright light shined up from the other side. I wondered if it could be an angel coming and taking me from this cruel word and into my mother’s hands.
“Gentle like a puppy, soft like a feather and small like an ant”
The light was coming closer. So, close as if I can touch it from a faraway distance. What could that be possibly.
My glory was sharp, but my strength was strong. This is the day I will find the real truth if dad is still out there. My hope is low, but my journey is big. I pack my stuff in to my bag pack and sneak out at night through my bedroom window so my gran doesn’t see or hear me. I know I shouldn’t do it because she will be sick and worried about me, but there will explanation for me if I don’t find it out for myself.
Alarm beeped to 3 o'clock meaning time to leave and also the devils hour. I took the doves and made a long rope of it looking like Rapunzel’s golden hair. Climbing down the golden hair and away for my big adventure I guess.
Flashlight on……..
The road was dark like my soul, road mysteriously bald and my skin pail of the cold fear. I wouldn’t be expecting something bad happening whilst walking on the side walk as its finishing and there is no other path way. I kept walking till I reached the end and a car from nowhere pulls over. I can’t tell exactly what kind it was, what color or who it was in it because I didn’t turn around to look. I just didn’t want to get in a mess or something bad happening like getting kidnaped.
A person from the car knocks on the window of the car twice. I was tempted to look, but I managed to hold myself and kept walking forward just after the side walked  reached its end. I stepped on the road that looked like nothing and which goes to nothing, but the driver didn’t give up. He just kept falling me like some kind of creep that wants to rape a young girl. After walking good 20 odd minutes he pulled over shouted “HEY, GET BACK HERE”
I ran as fast as I could, until I run out of breath. I managed to hide in some bushes I found on the edge of a cliff. It was a dangerous place to hind in, but it was the only thing that was around near me. Of course I could of climbed up and hidden in a tree, but nah. Let’s not try and break something when you’re in such a terrible situation like me. I was shivering cold of this impatiens. I didn’t know where he was, who he was or what he wanted from me. I came out of me 'hide out’ and checked if it’s a safe zone. I saw no danger, it was safe to go. After 10 mins he got me. I was useless, then and now. I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t, all I wanted right now is to be safe and sound in my bed, thinking that all of it was a bad dream. It was hard to thinking about anything right now as I’m being  dragged by an older man
The old man opened back door of his car and told me to get in. I didn’t want to listen to his instructions, but I didn’t want no trouble so I just listened what he told me and juts got in. I had no clue where he was going or where the hell he was talking me, but for sure I knew I can’t be one-hundred present sure that I was safe.
The old man asked “Are you enjoying yourself?”
I replied speechlessly “Yes I am”
“Hahahaha, I don’t want you ending up bored by the time we get home” He said with a smile on his face
We ended up in a mansion I suppose. I felt more like I was in a palace because this place has gotten a lot of beautiful flowers like red roses, daisy’s,  dandelions…… and also a cherry  blossom tree where I know this is not a miracle, but I thought hummingbirds where flying around like mad. I don’t know how they got here, but it was a magnificent thing to experience.
“Do you like it already?”
I jumped with an exigent “I love it here”
“I’m glad you like it already” The old man we a grin on his face. I thought he’s got a trap planed or something, but right now I just wanted to explore what I’m seeing and memorize this amazing place
The old man showed me around the house the only doubts I was having was that nobody else was around in the house apart from him. At least some house cleaners. Nope, it was just him. All alone living in this huge mansion from my perspective. He looked at least happy living on his own. Never seemed as he was unhappy. The old man yelled at me as if I was death or something.
“YOUNG LADY. COME HERE RIGHT NOW.!!! Did I tell you that you can walk off”
I just stood there, faced toward him and said nothing
“Answer me or are you death?”
“yes sir” I answered in a calm voice
“yes sir what??”
“yes, I have been a bad girl and I shouldn’t off walked away” I answered as if I was about to cry
“now you know what’s waiting for you”
I screamed for help, but this how or the place I was in. it was miles away from anyone to hear me. just hoping and fingers crossed that someone would come. Whilst I waited. I was imagining what would happen if all of this was over. What if life is much better in heaven rather in this cruel world. What if………
Being undressed in the middle of the night by a strange man. Un zipping his trousers and pulling into the bed like to love birds. Making it sound like we are having fun. Not having under aged sex. Just having the time off your life.
This was nothing, but a sexual molested abuse for me. my life was hard till this day on. I tell my kids this story because they wanted to hear about my childhood experience and what I went through. So now I’m spreading this love to all my wonderful readers and tell them thing before you do something bad as well and know in whateve situation your in everyone is always on the lookout for you

Sarah vs The Life Unexpected Ch 9, In Sickness and in Health
A/N: Sorry for the lateness, my daughter had an accident today and I spent ALL day in the doctor's office. She's okay, but I'm exhausted (something about sitting at the doctor all day WEARS you out) Thank you for the continued love. On with our story.
Disclaimer: I don't own Chuck, but I do own the Bartowski/Grimes 2016 presidential poster…
Sarah wet a washcloth, walked over to the couch, and laid it on her patient's forehead. She heard a mumbled thanks and smiled. She had changed out of her clothes from the night before and was watching the sun come up.
"Did you know?" her patient asked.
"Know what?"
"That someone that small could regurgitate that much?" Chuck asked. "I mean it was like something out of the Exorcist. It just kept coming and coming and coming."
"Clara never thrown up like that before?"
"No. I mean she's spit up some, but that…that was truly something I have never seen…nor want to again." Chuck laughed. "When I was a kid and I got sick, Ellie used to have to fight me. I would cry and moan, but Molly, she was great. Ellie always said I deserve to have a child act like me. I guess I'm lucky my girl isn't," he said. Sarah grinned at him. He took the washcloth off of his face, sat up, a worried look on his face. "Sorry, she's your daughter, not mine."
"Really?" she asked. "If I'm not mistaken, you sat up with her last night, you manned the explosion that happened in the bathroom. You kept her calm and held her hair and told her you were there."
"I overstepped my bounds, didn't I?" Sarah swatted his arm.
"Chuck Bartowski, quit being an idiot. You were exactly the father that girl needs and deserves." The look Sarah gave him gave him no room for argument. He grinned at her.
"You approve?" she leaned over and kissed him.
"One thousand percent," she said. "Now, get some sleep. I have some paperwork I need to take care of…where are you going?" she asked Emma as she came down with Clara.
"Mama!" Clara yelled holding her arms out. Sarah stood up, walked over, and took her. Clara hugged her neck and giggled.
"How's my girl?"
"Hu," she said. Sarah walked over, and grabbed a bad of dry cereal, and Clara began to go to town on it.
"I steal your kid, you steal mine?" Chuck asked, smiling.
"Sharing," Sarah said winking.
"Hey, Clara, is Sarah pretty?"
"Retty," Clara said, hugging Sarah. Sarah looked like she would cry. "Mama retty."
"Yeah, she is isn't she," Chuck said.
"You two getting married next week, or Monday?" Emma asked dryly.
"We haven't decided," Sarah replied, in a playful mood. Both women turned to Chuck, who's head seemed to be short-circuiting again.
"I think you broke him," Emma said.
"He'll reboot in a minute," Sarah replied. "You know you're pretty?" she said to Clara who clapped and giggled. "Yes, you are." Sarah turned to her mom. "Where are you off to?"
"If Chuck doesn't mind, I'm going to take Clara over to our apartment. I figured the two of us should spend the day over there, if not the night, so as not to spread this thing."
"You okay with that Chuck?" Sarah asked.
"Hey, Pumpkin?" Clara turned towards Chuck. "You okay staying with just Granny for a while."
"Gran!" Clara yelled, holding her arms out. Chuck looked at Sarah.
"How did she pick up on that so fast?"
"How does she pick up on calling me Mama so fast?" Chuck looked up at the ceiling where his room approximately was. In the bed in that room lay Molly, asleep. After her throwing up, which Chuck swore was things she ate when she was three and possibly her toenails came out of her, Sarah gave her a bath, put her to bed in Chuck's bed, and washed the sheets on her bed.
"You know, I think when she's better, we might have a little talk with one Miss Molly," Chuck said.
"Sis!" Clara yelled. Both Chuck and Sarah looked at Clara. Chuck's eyes were about to close.
"Mom, I'll call you when the coast is clear," Sarah said. "You sure you don't mind?"
"I'm fine, in fact, I was going to take Molly and give you two some alone time," Emma said. "I figured you two needed to have a conversation." A soft snore made both turn as they saw Chuck laying there, his head awkwardly on the couch, mouth slightly open, snoring. "Hard to find a guy who will stay up all night with your child."
"Hard to find a guy you love, who will stay up all night with your child," Sarah countered.
"Sarah, don't overthink it," Emma said, pulling her in for a hug. Clara gave Sarah a one arm hug and patted her back. Sarah pulled away and tickled Clara.
"I'm not," she said smiling. "But it's not just my decision."
"Let the little one loose on him if you have to," Emma said, heading out the door. "All's fair in love and war," she said, and she left. Sarah looked over at Chuck, still snoring.
"I feel for you Chuck," Sarah said softly, running her fingers through his hair. "I've got Emma, Clara, and Molly on my side. It just doesn't seem fair.
}o{
About 9, Sarah looked up from her computer. She was working on putting together the consolidation of the three companies, which was impressive since Carmichael Industries really didn't exist yet. She heard thumps coming down the stairs and looked up to see Molly making her way down.
"Mommy, I love our new house," Molly said. Sarah saw Chuck open one eye, and quickly close it again. "When can we move the rest of our stuff in?"
"Honey, it's not our house," Sarah replied. "We haven't been invited, but I take it your good if we were invited to move in?"
"Why hasn't Daddy asked us to move in yet?" Molly asked.
"You'd have to ask Chuck, Sweetie," Sarah began, but never got to finish. Molly walked over and got right in Chuck's face.
"Daddy? Daddy?" Chuck opened one eye and shut it. Sarah knew she should stop this, but she was enjoying it way too much. "DADDY!" Chuck jumped. "When can I move the rest of my stuff in? Can I do it today?"
"You should probably ask your mother that," Chuck replied, trying to figure out why this little person was screaming at him.
"So you don't mind if I move my stuff in?" Molly asked. Chuck's head was in a fog, and he knew he should be careful, but he just wanted some sleep.
"No, I don't care," Chuck replied. Sarah hid her laugh with her hand. Chuck had no idea what he had just stepped into. Sarah started to say something when her phone went off.
"Hello," she said, grinning. The grin fell from her face in seconds. "I mean…I really can't…are you sure? I could do that. Are you sure it's her? She was the mole!? She's going by herself? Well, no I don't blame her, and all this time I thought it was Zondra. Well, Molly was sick all night." Sarah looked at Chuck, her eyes pleading. Chuck had managed to pick himself up off the couch.
"We got this, Mommy," Molly said, holding her fist out to Chuck. Chuck just looked at it. Molly turned and gave him the evil eye. He bumped her fist and she exploded it. Chuck didn't. That got another evil eye. Chuck did it again, and exploded it. Molly nodded, turned to Sarah and smile. "We got this," she said, and leaned back on the couch both hands behind her head.
"I understand what I'm about to say is going to complicate my life to no end, but when she starts dating, I'd feel better if you talk to the boys beforehand," Chuck said. Sarah nearly dropped her phone.
"If that's what you want," she said shakily.
"You'll show them the knives?"
"Yes," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "When I get done with this, we talk?" Chuck gave a single nod.
"Yes," Molly said, doing a fist pump. "I'm getting a baby brother!" Chuck and Sarah shared a look. Chuck just grinned and shrugged. Part of Sarah did a flip that she didn't know she had.
"I'm here, Carina," Sarah said, never taking her eyes off of Chuck. "I'll be in as quick as I can." She hung up, got up, walked over, and stood right in front of him. "I promised no secrets, but can we wait until I get back to talk to you about this."
"Sure, a couple of days?" Sarah gave him a look. "Got a pressing knife fight in Jakarta?"
"No, it should take a couple of hours, and I'm staying here with Carina and covering Ops. I'd explain more, but I really need to go," she replied. "I love you both, and I will talk to you soon.
"Love you," Chuck said, grinning. She bent down to kiss him and he pulled back. "I wouldn't, sleep, bad breath, drool."
"You owe me one," she said winking. She kissed Molly, got to the door, stopped and turned back. "Molly, if your serious about this, what he says goes, you got it."
"Got it, Daddy and I, we've got an understanding," she said. Sarah grinned.
"Chuck, we are so talking when I get back," Sarah said, and with that she was gone.
"You're ordering my baby brother tonight, aren't you?" Molly asked. Chuck looked at her, and decided to be honest.
"You know that's not how that works, right?"
"I figured, Jerry isn't that smart, but I'm five, how about you give me this talk when I'm older?"
"Don't you want your Mom to?
"Nope, she'll be all technical, and you'll blush, and sputter, but you'll be honest. That's what I love about you, Daddy," Molly said. "TV?" Chuck reached over and ruffled her hair, causing a quick little tickle/slap fight to break out.
"You watch TV, I nap, and if you need something, you wake me?" Chuck offered.
"Deal," she said. "Daddy, thanks for letting me live here. Don't worry, I'll make sure Mommy comes with me."
"Love you, Molly," Chuck said halfway asleep. Molly lay with her hands behind her head, sure she was on her way to completing Project OMAHA.
}o{
Sarah watched the computer monitor, not believing the footage she was seeing.
"I always thought it was Zondra," she said softly. "Carina, I feel so bad." Carina had just been starting at her the whole morning. For two hours they watched as Amy was tracked on the cameras and Zondra was leading a strike force to bring her down.
"Walker, are you seriously not going to tell me what happened last night." Sarah was looking at the monitor. She sat up, grinned, and turned toward her friend.
"Whatever do you mean?"
"Oh, for the love of Pete! You can cut the sexual tension between you two with a knife! What went wrong?"
"How do you know anything went wrong?" Sarah asked innocently. Carina smirked.
"Because you're not mad like it was terrible, and you're not glowing like you would be if it was half of what you were hoping." Sarah knew she shouldn't say anything, but she couldn't help herself. She and Carina had shared so much the last five years.
"Okay, I wore the purple thing I showed you a few weeks ago," Sarah began. Carina's eyes lit up. "But, someone lied to me yesterday," she continued.
"No. You didn't!"
"I did."
"But, didn't that punish you more than him?" Sarah blushed.
"At first, I thought he had learned his lesson, and first thing in the morning, we'd have our fun, but then," Sarah paused.
"What did he do? Massage? Kiss you? Rub you?"
"He opened the door, so he could hear Molly in case she was scared or got up since it was her first night in the house." Carina sat down.
"Your ovaries exploded didn't they?" Sarah didn't answer, but the blush returned. "That's not it, is it?" Sarah shook her head. "Walker…tell me!"
"He heard something in the middle of the night. It was Molly, she had a fever and was having a chill. He picked her up, carried her downstairs, gave her medicine, and slept on the couch holding her. Two hours later, Emma woke him so he could give Molly the other medicine, and that's when I saw it all. I went back to bed when I heard a commotion. Molly got sick, and Chuck took her to the bathroom, held her hair, and nursed her all the way thought it."
"Are you marrying him Monday, or do you think you'll wait 'til next week."
"I told him that we were having a talk tonight," Sarah said. She looked down at the floor. "I know what I want to do, but…"
"Here it comes," Carina said.
"What?"
"It's complicated. The kids, our work situation, our housing situation. Sarah what do you want to do?"
"Spend every minute with him," Sarah said, surprised by her own honesty.
"If there was no romance involved, what would you do about work?"
"Exactly what we're doing."
"If he were an asset what would you do?"
"Move in and provide 24 hour guard."
"What's. The. Problem?"
"I'm scared."
"There it is," Carina said, hugging her. "Sweetie, you love him, of course your scared. You're scared he'll realize he fell for the wrong former federal agent and you'll find him swinging from my chandelier one night." Sarah just gave her a flat look.
"You have a chandelier?"
"No," Carina admitted. "But, you know what I mean."
"What if we break up?"
"Do you think he'll ever not be in Molly's life?"
"Not unless I ask him not to be," Sarah admitted.
"Then it comes down to two people, you and him."
"He's never actually asked me if I would move in," Sarah said softly.
"Have you ever asked?" Sarah just looked at her. "If you want it, go get it!" Sarah smiled.
"Miller, Walker, I got her," the comms exploded. "We've got Amy, we got the mole!"
"Zondra, I owe you an apology," Sarah said.
"You don't owe me anything, Walker," Zondra replied. "I thought it was you."
"Next time you're in the area, why don't you drop by," Sarah offered.
"You got it," Zondra replied. Sarah smiled, signed off, and found her phone.
"I'm going to call Chuck, and we'll wrap up," Sarah told Carina. She dialed the number, and was surprised by what she heard.
"Chuck's phone," came Molly's voice.
"Is he asleep?" Sarah said, and heard an awful retching noise in the background.
"If he is that's impressive," Molly answered.
"Molly, what's going on?"
"According to Chuck he just threw up something he ate in third grade." Sarah ran her hand over her face. "Ohhhh, that sounded painful."
"I'm on my way," Sarah said. She turned to Carina who was fighting a smile.
"Go, nurse your man back to health." Carina said, grinning. Sarah hugged Carina and raced out the door.
}o{
Sarah walked in and saw Molly sitting on the couch, watching TV, coloring, and eating potato chips. She came in and sat down beside her. Molly looked up, sad.
"I'm sorry, Mommy," she said. "I ruined this weekend."
"How did you ruin this weekend?" Sarah asked.
"You and Daddy were supposed to have a big family weekend with all of us and order me a baby brother. I got sick and ruined it, and now Daddy is sick." They paused when they heard a terrible retch. Sarah held up a finger.
"You need anything?"
"All good," he choked out.
"We have different definitions of all good," she muttered. She turned back to Molly. "Being a family isn't just about being a family that goes to a park or Disneyland, or goes and get ice cream. It's about being there at all times."
"In sickness and in health," a weak voice came behind them. Sarah looked back at Chuck. He looked awful, but she couldn't love him more than she did right now. She hopped up and went to help him. He tried to shoo her away, but she was having none of it, and walked him to a chair that he sunk into. "Family is about being there during loss, during the hard times, and during the times no one else is there for you," Chuck said.
"Like when you were there for me when I found out I was adopted?" Molly asked. Chuck nodded.
"But, you had family, Molly, why didn't you say something?" Chuck asked. Molly looked down.
"I didn't understand then," she said.
"Understand what, Sweetie?" Sarah asked.
"I didn't understand that you wouldn't give me back," Molly said. Sarah's mouth dropped.
"Molly, you are my daughter. I may not be your biological mother, but I will never give up on you, and I will fight tooth and nail for you," Sarah said looking her in the eyes. Molly hugged Sarah.
"And Clara?"
"Yes, Molly, and Clara, as long as Chuck lets me," she replied.
"Why would I ever not let you, and, how could I stop you? Seriously, how?" Chuck asked. Sarah looked at him and shrugged.
"You couldn't," she replied grinning.
"And, Daddy?" Sarah never quit looking at him.
"In sickness and in health," she said softly.
"In sickness and in health," he replied.
"As long as we both shall live," she said, parts of her body doing dances she hadn't felt in a while. Chuck grinned.
"As long as we both shall live," he replied doing the eyebrow dance.
"I do," she replied.
"I do too."
"I'm not kissing you right now," Sarah said, smiling.
"I wouldn't kiss me right now," Chuck replied. Sarah grabbed Molly's hand.
"Come on, let's go make your bed, wash my sheets, and talk about where you got those potato chips," Sarah said. Chuck made an ohh face at Molly. Molly made a scared face back at Chuck.
"Wait, your bed?" Chuck asked. Sarah stopped at the foot of the stairs and looked at him.
"My bed," she replied, giving him a look that challenged him to say anything. Chuck situated himself in the chair.
"The big walk-in closet is empty," he replied. "There's plenty of room in the attic for storage, and in the basement for some things as well," he said, his eyes closed. He opened one eye and saw her still looking at her.
"You asking me to live with you?"
"I thought you just told me you were going to," Chuck said as the door opened. Emma walked in holding Clara, rolling a big suitcase behind her.
"There's two more in the trunk," she said. Chuck just watched her come through, and she stopped right in front of him. "If you hurt her," she began.
"If I hurt her?" Chuck asked. "She knows over 100 ways to physically hurt me and she has my heart in her hands." Emma smiled at him.
"What happens next?"
"Well, I thought I'd take a nap," Chuck said. "But, apparently you women-folk aren't going to let me."
"Women-folk?"
"I have a fever, I'm delirious, and I don't know what I'm saying," Chuck said quickly. Emma bent down and kissed his forehead.
"You have a slight fever, did you throw up?" Chuck nodded. "That explains the smell." Chuck looked hurt. "Go shower, now" she said pointing toward the bathroom. Chuck got up, and walk by, turning his head so as not to look at her, he came to Sarah, and did the same thing. She slapped him on the backside as he went by.
"You are going to be the death of me."
"If you don't shower, that smell will be the death of me." Chuck turned and started back up the stairs. The four watched him go.
"You sure about this, Sarah?" Emma asked. Sarah looked at her.
"I'm sure I love him, and I want to spend the rest of my life with him, but I'm scared to death," Sarah admitted. Emma smiled.
"See, not that complicated."
"Does that mean you'll call the stork tonight?" Molly asked. Sarah put her hand over her face.
"Jerry and I need to have a long talk," Sarah said, and started up the stairs of her new home.
A/N: Sorry it's short, today has been a day, but I wanted to get this up. Probably nothing until Friday. A lot going on tomorrow, and Thursday I've got Star Wars tickets for 7 pm, and I'll be hyper all day. See you soon.
