I decided to deal with some of the props... and chop and prop all of the gangly succulents. They're awkward now, but it's a better aesthetic frankly.
I'm half-tempted to take these outside this summer (many of them need it, tbh), but hardening plants off to outdoor sun is a pain. I have started to supplement their light, and I've gotten some of them to start blushing but it still isn't enough to get their full colors nor stop many of the Echeverias, Sedums, Graptos, and Pachys from etoliating.

Graptos keep being weird.
Tumblr media
This prop is growing as well as its siblings, but his first leaf was very broad. I don’t know why. It seems to think it’s some kind of... I don’t even know. Maybe it saw bear paws on my computer once?
Tumblr media
And this was just a tiny Grapto-colored ball I found in the main pot. It had a single root sprouting out, so I left it on the soil and now it’s pushing out teeny tiny leaves. My guess is that it fell off its mother plant before it started looking like a leaf...
I don’t know which plant these two came from; would be funny is they had the same mother plant!

Πώς ζητάς να σ’ αγαπήσω εγώ, εγώ που δεν έχω τίποτα;

Look at them! They’re doing great and you can almost see nothing anymore from the mice incident. The crested graptos are getting a little trapped though

I got them all potted today. Some of these had way bigger roots than I expected. Having to transfer the Watch Chain Crassula to a 3in pot honestly made me kinda proud.

My favorite plants will always be Graptopetalum paraguayense, I think. The humble ghost plant or porcelain plant.
This is Graptopetalum paraguayense :
Tumblr media
Such delicate colors, right? But apart from their beauty, what I love about those graptos is that they are hell-bent on propagating.
My Sedeveria ‘Letizia’ props, from a plant that makes many offshoots,  placed on actual soil on April 24th:
Tumblr media
“Uh, guys, we’re supposed to make roots, right? Roots? Ugh, that’s so hard...”
Meanwhile, grapto leaves from June 19th in a plastic tray:
Tumblr media
“LET’S MAKE BABIES!”
The light conditions might play a part (top of the shelf versus lower shelf), but come on...
Also I’m going to have so many graptos.
