im not gonna sugarcoat it anon, but bunny hybrids are the common hybrid to get among perverted degenerates, and underneath all the complicated layers these yanderes have is just some horny perv who think they're doing a good thing by taking them in. We all know the truth, though.

Gorou:

God, just thinking about a bunny hybrid,, i know cinnamonest wrote about gorou having a cat hybrid, but like, I can't stop remembering Beastars and (I stopped watching it but I'll get back into it again) how fitting a floppy eared little bunny would be for him. Gorou. A war general in an environment where everything is peaceful, and there isn't much to do to let out all that excess energy.

I like to think that Gorou would meet his bunny darling while out on patrol. Of course, Watatsumi Island is peaceful now, but there's still some bandits and the like lurking about. When he sees them shivering in a cage, knees tucked to their chest and crying, it does something to him that he doesn't understand himself. You just look so...delicious.

You, seeing this dog towering over you with this crazed look in his eyes, makes you thankful that there's a cage separating the two of you. Even when he "kindly" asks if you know where the key is, you adamantly shake your head no. It's obvious he wants to eat you! He's even drooling! Staying in the cage is definitely safer than trusting this deranged predator looking as if he's finally found the prey of his dreams.

Gorou is strong anyway. He doesn't need something like a key to free you. It only helps in scaring you more when he rips the cage open with a smile on his face. Having you clinging onto the bars was a bit of a problem, though. Gorou just wants to help you out! Usually, bunny hybrids are grateful creatures from what he's heard, but it seems like you're the opposite of that. And stubborn to boot. Don't worry. He offers coming with him the easy way or the hard way.

The easy way is a much better option, as the other would be leaving you out here alone, cage open, for anyone to just kidnap. Of course, he'd warn the soldiers to keep an eye out for you. "They got injured because of my carelessness, so I want to make it up to them!" People would think a bandit or a monster got to you while he was distracted. There's no way someone as nice and dependable as Gorou would harm such an innocent creature like you!

Unfortunately, people forget that Gorou is a dog hybrid. And dogs are technically domesticated wolves no matter how you see them. If another hybrid like Sucrose (whatever animal she may be) were to witness this, she'd immediately find you herself and bring you back to the safety of her hometown. Well, it probably wouldn't be safe, but it's better than the possibility of being eaten, right? Too bad Albedo only visited Inazuma with Klee, and the two of them stayed on Narukami Island.

Thinking on it more, though, he feels like a run will do him some good. "You could always head back to where you came from. There's boats on the lower part of the island, I could take you there!" No thanks. Even with your limited vocabulary, your instincts were screaming at you to get away. To Gorou, it was a relief that you took the bait. Watching your little cotton tail bob behind you as you tried to escape was adorable. You probably thought you could get away from him and go back to your homeland, but what are the chances you even knew how to use a boat?

It didn't take long for him to find you, and even less time to pin you onto the sand below. You could cry out all you want, but nobody would be able to help you. "Don't cry... I'll make sure it won't hurt too badly~" Confused and scared, the thought of another hybrid, a predator to your kind, would even attempt to mate with you was worse than being eaten by one. And escaping was impossible. He was just so big and you so little! That doesn't stop Gorou. And despite what he promised, it hurt a lot because your body wasn't built to handle someone of his nature.

He did clean you up as best as he could, but seeing his love escape you so easily almost made him rearing to go again if you hadn't passed out from exhaustion. Poor thing, you must be so tired after allowing him to pour out all of his love into you. Don't worry, he doesn't mind carrying you to his home. Ah, but he should probably lock you up so you won't escape...

Maybe he'll tire you out with a couple more rounds in the morning, too. Just to be safe.

Tighnari:

I think Tighnari wouldn't necessarily succumb to his instincts, but he's tempted to. How could he not? Seeing such a cute bunny make themselves at home in his territory, eating the vegetables and herbs that he grew,

It's like you thought that because he was chummy with the humans, he wouldn't possibly think of harming you.

And that's exactly what you thought. That fennec fox hybrid seems to eat plants just like you, so he must've been dropped as a child or raised by herbivores. If it were the latter, then that's great! Herbivores usually don't mind sharing food, so you made a nice little burrow right next to Tighnari's field. It was far away from the other humans, and there was a water source nearby, too, so it was absolutely perfect! Any hybrid would kill to be in your place. Having such a convenient food supply and water next to your den.

However, Tighnari was considering hunting you down because you were prey in his territory. Ah, he shouldn't succumb to his instincts. He should be the bigger person and try to scare you off. He grows dangerous things, too, and he would not like you eating (ruining) his research.

But the cute floppy ears... how would it feel between his teeth? How soft is your little tail? How delicious would you taste if he took a bite out of you? Just a little nibble. It won't hurt. Probably.

You, on the other hand, are starting to feel a bit nervous about your housing arrangement. Your neighbor seems to be staring at you from afar and breathing heavily. Sometimes, he looks at you with a dazed expression, and you can see the saliva creep from his mouth. It's impossible, you think. You've seen him eat mushrooms! On several occasions! It gets creepy when he looks in your den while you're out getting water. You hide from him, but he doesn't make an effort to even chase you. He smells you nearby, but he can smell something even sweeter in your home.

He knows you're going into heat soon.

It doesn't matter what you have between the legs, to Tighnari, you're something meant to be eaten. You're at the bottom of the food chain with the other small and weak animals. If he wanted to mate with you, you'd be taking his knot. Would you give birth to pups or kits? Would some be a mixture? Or maybe there's a possibility of a fennec being an herbivore or a bunny being a carnivore? The researcher part of him wants to know so bad...

But it depends if you could give birth at all. It'd be a shame if you didn't, but if you take his knot nicely, he may reconsider eating you.

Tighnari tries his best to control himself, but when he sees you obliviously eating an aphrodisiac flower, the string in him snaps. He'll chomp down on those floppy ears of yours before he starts his little "private research."

he is not easily lured into this sort of thing.

intimacy, on it’s own, is a monumental task of will that he often lacks. throw in some vulnerability, and it becomes even worse. your relationship can often feel like an uphill slope, but he’s trying.

it’s this miserable dance he ends up in: one step forward in the right direction, until the fear kicks in, and he’s two steps back where he’s started. this is a thing that needs patience, and time.

most invitations prior to when ‘he’s ready’ often leads him to either turn bright red and flustered, or ghostly white and afraid. even if it starts at the first, it often sours into the latter. no matter how gentle your hands, your eyes, or your smile... he feels too sharp, with rough hands, hollow eyes, and crinkled frowns.

but if you’re the right person, and if you’ve really waited this long, if you’ve really made it this far with him... then he melts.

the thing about walls is they can’t really fall down. you can’t wreckingball your way into scaramouche’s heart, or else any progress you’ve made will quickly backfire. they can only softly crack open, like the moat around the castle has a drawbridge for you to cross.

you never really know when it’s going to happen, but then it does.

you don’t expect him to go with you, this was just you saying, “i’m going to bathe. i’ll be back soon.” it was a courtesy, not an expectation.

but this time, he surprises you. he looks up, hesitates, shrewd eyes narrowing as his mouth subtly moves, but makes no sound. until his throat cracks open, and he finally finds the words, “okay. can i come, too?”

and really, it’s not surprising how nerved-up and rattled he is, the moment he’s there. it doesn’t matter if it’s a warm water bath, or a soft-falling shower, his fingers clench anxiously against his palm, and his mouth sours into an unsteady line.

and the first thing he does?

as the water shrouds around you, he presses himself against you, resting his head against your shoulderblades, his arms curling around you to press you close. you can feel the sharp edge of his cheekbone, the gentle tickle of his lashes against your skin. and then he sighs, deep and warm and so tired, he was always so tired.

“i’m sorry,” he tells you, as if you needed it. you don’t. maybe you do. he does.

bathing with scaramouche is a test of intimacy and vulnerability. but now that he’s here, it’s a little easier. with gentle hands, you can touch him, and with rougher ones, he touches you.

when you soap down his neck down to his chest, and you meet eyes, the gravity of how much he trusts you, and how much he cares for you, truly sinks in.

this isn’t just a bath, this isn’t really about being clean, not that it ever was.

this is about his fragile heart, and how he still lets you hold it between your two gentle hands, in spite of the cracks he has endured, in spite of the shatters that have left it a mangled remnant of what once was whole.

gorou

super, super into it

it’s just as likely for you to ask him as it is for him to ask you, but it goes a little like this:

if you ask him, he turns bright red, ears perking up with a sense of alertness as if he’s trying to guess if he’s heard you right. for a moment, he’s frozen solid, flushing and gasping for words. and then his tail starts wagging a mile a minute, eagerly agreeing to join you.

alternatively, if he asks you, he’s a little shy about it. he smiles sheepishly at you, biting his lip as his tail idly swishes side to side, like he’s excited to reveal something to you, but still waiting to see your reaction. when he asks you, he asks it softly, but nevertheless eager. and the moment you accept? well. there goes his tail. he likely doesn’t even notice how hard it’s thrashing behind him.

baths with him are not necessarily intimate, besides the act itself. it’s more like... an affectionate affair.

he’s not drowning you with attention, but he’s eager to please you, enthusiastic about helping you get clean. he immediately wants to scrub your hair himself; all he wants is for you to just lean back into him with all the trust in the world, his fingernails softly scratching at your scalp as the soap foams up along your head.

and maybe you hear his heart skip a little bit when you look up at him with that tender, love-lost look. the type of look that makes him flustered and crumple, a nervous smile wobbling at his lips.

he’s a little self-conscious when you want to touch his tail or his ears, but because it’s you, he’ll generally deny it at first... but then ultimately wants you to touch it, assenting with a flustered look away to your request.

his fur is incredibly soft, especially at his tail. apparently, there’s a pretty strict routine for how he maintains it, but for now... he’s just melting into your hands, spine shuddering with every soft stroke and delicate touch.

he considers bathing with you a relaxing, albeit, nerve-racking affair that ultimately brings him great joy, and allows him the time to fully savor you, soap-bound and watery in his two arms.

yes, you can, tighnari said, but gods, he never felt this way before. he likes the touch and feeling of your hands on his ears, really! he just isn’t used to the feeling, but he’ll get used to it! his favorite thing to do that has you petting his ears involved is cuddling after a very long day of forest watching! (*´∀｀*) although it may seem that tighnari never gets off of work, he’s always looking forward to the feeling of resting his head on your chest, falling asleep to the calm thumps of your heartbeat as you pet and gently scratch the back of his ears to lull him to sleep. maybe you could even kiss his ears while he drifts off to sleep, it gives him more rest and relaxation. oh, and his tail? it’s wrapped around you very tightly! he probably wraps his arms and tail around the pillow he sleeps with, expect this tired forest watcher do the same with you. (see? he’s getting quite used to it already! and bonus, you’re the first person to ever pet his ears! kudos to you, reader! <3)

gorou has had his ears get pet several of times! although, he has been (secretly expecting) you to have your very own turn! it’s not that often that gorou wants to have someone pet his ears, so this is a very rare opportunity to come by. everytime you’d ask him if you could pet his ears in public, especially in front of the soldiers, the answer is always the same; “y/n. you are my lover and i love you with all of myself, but please for the love of the archons, i’ve said it many times, but you cannot pet my ears!” he’s frowning with his ears pressed flat on his head, makes you want to pet him even more! but still, you’ll have to respect his response. although, if you ask him in private, when it’s just the two of you and he’s taking a break, he’s definitely down for you to pet his ears. his favorite position is when you lay down on the couch and have him lay on top of you while his fluffy tail is wrapped around your waist, at times, his tail could even be swishing around as he’s closing his eyes in bliss while you pet him! you can kiss and nom on his ears lightly but he’s probably gonna be stuck to your hip if you do so. this general hasn’t had that much physical affection, okay? (worst thing to tell him while doing this is that you have to get up.)

preface: he gets home late from his work and has yet to say anything about it being your birthday. reasoning that he has a surprise for you, you decided to stay up. but as the hours went by, you drift asleep, the creak of the door when he finally returns waking you up. pretending to be asleep, you could barely contain your excitement. he whispers your name, but no response (you have to commit to the act after all), so he showers and gets ready for bed. as he gets under the blankets, he pulls you closer and kisses you goodnight. yet there's still nothing about your birthday...

xiao

doesn't realize until he sees his reminder too late

it's already the morning after: he wakes up to find that you're not in bed but hears the kitchen sink running so he assumes you're doing the dishes

picking up his phone, he notices the notification he had failed to see the day before "y/n's birthday - yesterday"

sits up in a panic, thinking back to see if he had even wished you a happy birthday (he realizes that he did not)

he even goes so far as to remember how sad you were that he was scheduled to work on your birthday (but you brushed it off, saying that as long as you could spend some of it with him, it'd be alright)

he scrambled to throw some clothes on (he has not checked the time yet but it's 11:48am - he doesn't wake up early, anything before 12 is a miracle)

reasons that he should at least get you something, so he thinks back, desperately trying to remember anything you stared at for too long or tried to subtly hint that you wanted (he knew what you were doing and always tried to keep a mental list of everything)

remembering something, he rushes out (you don't hear him as you were listening to music as you were doing some house chores to keep yourself distracted)

makes it to the store with the item still in stock (it was the last one) and immediately buys it (doesn't even look at the price tag, just shoves his card at the employee - but politely because he's not rude)

notices a flower shop and stops by to get you a bouquet of your favorite flowers (he asks the florist for the prettiest and best arrangement they could make, assuring them that he could pay for it and not to worry about that)

when he gets home, he notices that you made him lunch when you didn't have to since you were bound to be at least very upset with him if not extremely (his stomach growls, he's used too much energy on an empty stomach)

he's not the type to make lame excuses, he gets straight to the point, apologizing that he forgot that it was your birthday and asking if there was anything in particular you wanted so that he could make up for it

also hands you the gifts he got for you, noticing that you're trying to fight back your smile (he thinks the way you're trying to keep up your anger is adorable, but he knows that now's not the time for that)

does absolutely anything and everything you ask (within reason of course), treating the day as if it were your actual birthday

finally earns a thank you kiss from you at the end of the day and lots of cuddles

diluc

is up before you (he has to supervise today)

but is most definitely stalling, savoring the time that he gets to see you as he gets ready to leave

kisses you softly, whispering that he'll be back soon and not to miss him too much

doesn't realize until one of his employees mentions it casually ("oh, mr. diluc, what did you get mx. y/n for their birthday?")

he freezes, like actually freezes and is like "what did you say?"

never once has he forgotten your birthday, and to think he's started now makes him literally sick to his stomach

he's demanding to know the day and when he learns that he indeed did forget your birthday, he flips

gives everyone the day off and puts up the closed sign

he makes lots of stops afterwards

the first is the jewelry shop (he decided last year that he was going to get you a ring this year, and so he does)

despite being in a rush, he takes his time with his gifts - he's looking through all of the displays, finally deciding on what he deems the most perfect and purchases it

next is the supermarket, he's going to make you your favorite so he takes his time to choose the best ingredients

third is a flower shop to get you the basket of flowers you had always wanted (yes he remembers even though you mentioned it once on your first date together)

his final stop is the bakery to choose out the best cake and if there wasn't any, he would go to each bakery within a 10 mile radius to find one

it's later than he had hoped when he returns home to you - he finds you sitting on the couch hugging a pillow and watching a show on the tv

whether you noticed him or not, he didn't know, so he set everything on the kitchen table and walked up to you, hands gently holding yours as he pulled you into a hug, burying his nose deep into the crook of your neck, whispering how sorry he is for forgetting and promising that it would never happen again

he then takes your hand again and leads you to the kitchen to give you all the gifts he had gotten you today

he spoils you a bit more than he usually would but he doesn't mind, because the smile you give him afterward makes it all worth it

is tossing and turning as he slept - something itching the back of his mind kept him from sleeping peacefully, as if he were forgetting something

shoots awake as he looks at the time (03:17) when he notices the date too

is flipping out and he looks at you with your back turned to him, the steady rise and fall almost lulling him back to sleep, tempting him to fall back into his pillow and cuddle with you until he fell asleep again - almost

but he shakes you awake, "let's go somewhere"

you're both in your sleep clothes as you walked around the neighborhood, making it to the street lamp where you both had shared your first kiss

his heart always beats a little bit faster whenever he passes by this street lamp, lips tingling as they remembered the feeling of yours on his

he spins you around before his hands find their spot on your waist, and as he gently pulls you in, he whispers “sorry i’m late, happy birthday, my love”

and of course he kisses you (you’re literally at the place where you shared your first kiss with him, why wouldn’t he)

he’s tempted to make it a tradition now (but on time obviously) so he does

next year, you can expect him to pull you out of the comfort of your shared bed, walking through the neighborhood to the lamp

but today he calls in sick (he told you that he was lovesick, and therefore needed the day off to spend cuddling with you - he didn’t tell his boss that of course)

would also vow to himself to just take the entire day off on your birthdays from now on as to not let this happen again

the afternoon was hot, and while your window curtains had been closed to keep out the sun, still the blarinf heat of the summer day didn't spare the two of you.

your friend had come over for the 6 time i a row, and while it was only wednesday the time had been filled with good laughs and dumb shit the two of you always seemed to get yourself into, no matter how responsible the other was.

right now you were both just laying down on your bed, music was blasting through a speaker and cold energy on your bedside table.

he was sitting on the floor his back to your bed and his head laying on the mattress next to yours, you were laying on your back.

you constantly had the urge to laugh, being upsidedown did that to you, besides the fact zhat your friend always seemed to make you laugh, even if he didn't try to.

silently watches you just- staring either at you or the poking motion you do with your hand. while he doesn't say anything, he also doesn't give you the feeling of dojng it wrong, or hurting him. your used to his endless staring.

says he isn't nervous at all but is actually really fucking shaking, crying- shitting tears- no but really, if you wouldn't have to use both of your hand, he would take it and crush it out of fear

Loves being in your arms when you both sleep beside each other, he literally just opens your arms and wraps them around him then boom hes sleeping so soundly due to the fatigue of keeping guard at the camp for days. Pairing: Gorou x gn!reader

Summary: Whenever he dropped by Inazuma City, Gorou always made sure to meet up with you, and ask for your help for asks he receives and how to answer them. Until one day, he received a specific question.

Warnings: Spoilers for his hangout event

"Oh, (y/n) !" The General called for you, his tail wagging behind him. He always looks so happy to meet up with you, it was heart warming. Though, you couldn't say that you weren't happy either. Quite the opposite, in fact. Lately, Gorou often came to you for assistance for something regarding readers, and questions, you didn't quite follow, but he was always giving his all when it came to giving advices, even if they were a bit clumsy and messy sometimes, but he was happy while doing most of the time, so you never thought much of it. It was interesting to see him think slightly differently than when he was the Ganaral of an army. Well, of an army during a war, as the peaceful times finally reached the land.

As per usual, the two of you made your way in a calm place, the one you always go when he needs your help. It was a real shame that the two of you don't spend more time hanging out than this. When you meet him in town, you'd usually treat him to a desert, or a snack since he's so weak for sweets. You did see him in Watatsumi Island once, though. He looked like such a fierce and strong General with his soldiers, it was impressively out of character compared to what you're used to see of him. But then again, he helped leading a war, so there was nothing that surprising, but it was still somewhat strange. "-hat do you think about it ?" You stared at Gorou after his voice snapped you out of your thoughts. After a while, he looked concerned. "Are you okay ?"

"Ah !" When did you get to your usual spot ? "I'm sorry, I was thinking of something. You were saying ?"

He kept that worried look, it broke your heart. He's usually smiling and cheerful, or he'll be serious and composed, but seeing with such an expression was breaking your heart. You've grown extremely found of him, to a point you started wondering if you weren't seeing something more in him, more than once. "Are you sure you're fine ?" You reassured him with a nod and a warm smile. He always smiled back at that, and it was something you wanted to protect. "Well, someone was asking about their special someone and what would be the best way to propose. Any ideas ?" A love request, huh. Must be nice. Being single had its advantage, but at the same time, dating someone gives you that feeling of belonging in someone's arms, and that was just such a swell thing to think about. Yeah. proposing on a scenery like the one in front of you... A light breeze on the beginning of the evening, the sun setting slightly, the sky becoming hues of pink and orange, a few skies here and there, and mostly, the face of the person you love so much. "(y-y/n) ? Do you... Need something ?" Once again, it was Gorou's voice that brought you back to reality.

"Oh ! Right, the proposal. It depends ? I would totally spoil them all day and do their favorite things, so it is at least in their top three days of their lives." Thinking back on it now... It is what you've been doing for a while. "Come to think of it, Gorou..." He was happily noting down your suggestion for review when you interrupted him. "I guess it is what I've been doing, huh ?" His face turned slightly red, making you smile. He was so very cute. "I mean, every time we see each other I just spoil you with sweets. Guess you have to be my groom, now." You shrugged. Of course, you were half serious. You really liked him, but he had better things to take care of than a partner. Strangely, you never got the reaction you expected of him. Instead of an amused face, you found yourself looking at the most flustered and embarrassed Gorou you've ever seen. His face was bright pink, his ears facing backwards, as he struggled to pronounce a single word. You wanted to hug him. You put your hand on his shoulder, which surprised him seeing how he flinched. "It's alright, I'm just joking. I enjoy having you around. That's all. I'm glad we're friends."

Friends.

Somehow, that statement made you both sad.

It had been a while since you took a walk around Inazuma, but on one day, there was a ruckus outisde Yae's publishing house. Out of curiosity, you decided to check it out. "Ms. Hina is going to end her responses, we want to meet her !!" Declared a fan. Miss Hina ? Who's that ? You've never heard of her. "She's the purest soul that answers to questions her audience has been asking, look !" The man handed you a book and pointed out 'Miss Hina's responses'. It sounded nice.

"Kinda like what Gorou does." You ignored the 'who ?' that was asked when you decided to properly read what was written. "No way..." There, sitting under the question 'I want to propose to my girlfriend... Any tips ?' was your suggestion. 'Make her feel special the whole day, like a true princess, and end it with a bang !' There's no way. Was Gorou this popular ? But Gorou isn't a.... Turns out, people saw him as a pretty accurate female version of him, it was very resembling, you had to give them that. An idea sprouted in your mind. "Excuse me, are those anonymous ?" The men kept on yelling several things, but what you did understand was yes, they were. This was perfect.

As much as you loved Gorou, teasing him was also a great thing. Of course, there were boundaries. No ear or tail touching, and no talking about sad stuff. These were the only rules. It's hard not getting tempted by the fluffy touch, though. You started wondering if they were really this sensitive or for some other secret reasons.

Gorou was a very kind and serious person, but he was mostly selfless. If you ever wanted to know about him, you'd have to ask. Well, this was half true. He was selfless, but sometimes he'd mention his life in the resistance, which was nice in a way, free Gorou lore, not even need to buy him out of his silence. Though, he didn't like talking about the bad times. Not that he didn't want to vent or rant, but rather, he didn't want to ruin the mood or remind others of the war, even if it was just to talk about life and stuff.

His answers were the perfect opportunity. If he wouldn't answer to your prayers, his natural need to help would. And so, you've started studying his answers. Not as much of the questions themselves, but rather what his thinking process would be. You've considered several time sending an entry yourself, but you didn't really have anything that needed help. Besides, he was busy enough as it is. Trips between Inazuma City and Watatsumi Island took at least a day or two, poor guy must be tired after such long trips. No wonder Miss Hina's fan are there only a day or two per month. You're even surprised they haven't figured out Gorou was their sweet sweet advisor. But you could hardly complain about that, at least you had Gorou to yourself whenever he visited, and you had fun hanging out !

Until you did send one question to him from the ask section, and grew more and more nervous every single day until he came back.

That day, as usual, he walked all around to find you, and when he did, he greeted you with a big smile, which you returned, your face definitely heating up a bit. You talked for a while, and settled at your usual spot to help him. Or rather, to have an honest answer to your question. You knew that he might take a bit to find a proper response, but it would be worth it in the end. Surely, you won't have to put him through too much. And, as usual, you gave him some bit of advice when he got stuck on one of them. You had fun, people were really glad he was around, or rather that Miss Hina was around, and so were you. Inazuma City was nice, especially during the evening, when the sun starts to set, letting the countless stars shine of their own lights later in the night. That time of the day was definitely one of your favorites, so you usually zoned out, enjoying the scenery and the feel of the last ray of sunshine on your skin. It was peaceful, and you just sat there, waiting. And when you ere done waiting for today, you turned to meet a flustered Gorou. Did you say something without realizing ? You simply shot a questioning look. "Ah ! N-no, it's just..." He hesitated. "There's that... Question. It's... Personal. I don't know what to do."

"Personal ?"

"Someone asked about... Me, I guess ? Well, it's definitely the nickname the others gave me when we were up again the Shogun."

You reached for the paper. "Gemme." He hesitantly obliged, and a nervous grin crept onto your face. How did you forget you wrote that ? 'There's that one person, a pointy-eared general of the resistance, I don't know how to ask him out ! How do you ask someone so serious out ?' Come to think of it, it was terrible. The worst question you could have asked, you weren't even slick or smooth. How long has he been processing that ? The sun was almost set by the time you were done enjoying life. "Answer as you always do."

"It's not that simple !"

"Gorou, you have to set your feelings aside and help them. Respond as you always do, neutral and objective. You give great advice."

Gorou took a deep breath. "You're right." He took some more deep breath in, calming down. "So... All I have to do is to tell them to go up to him and have a chat ?" You nodded. That sounded good. "Great. Thanks." He still looked flustered, no matter what he could say.

But you wondered if you could get a direct answer. "What about you ?"

"Hm ?"

"You're answering as the advisor, but what about you ? How would you respond if they ask you out ?"

"Ah... That..." His face still looked red. "I'd... I'd have to decline."

"Why's that ?"

"I... I'm interested in someone."

Ah. You decided to tease him a little, who knows, even if he's easily flustered, with how he reacted last time, maybe there's a small chance... You put on your best smug face. "Oho ? And who would that be ?" He turned to you, his face exploding in red. No way. "Gorou..." He looked away. "I could be mistaken but... Do you like me ?" He just hid his face in his hands. No way ! "Wait waitwaitwaitwait ! Really ?"

He whimpered, before snapping, still extremely red. "S-so what ! You've also been acting weird around me lately ! I could say the same of you !"

You stared at him. It was impressive how he could snap stuff like that sometimes. You let out a soft chuckle. "Yeah, you really can." You heard him die inside. "I mean, I did say that I could propose to you if I continue to spoil you. I mean, it was a joke, but, I wouldn't complain."

"Isn't getting married way too fast ?!"

"Oh so you are fine with marrying me !"

"N-no ! Well, yes, but- no !"

Ah, how adorable. You warped him in a hug, he didn't dare to move. "I'm joking. I like you too. You're the only sweet I need." If seeing him flustered was something that you didn't get to see often, there was one thing you saw even less of : his tail wagging like crazy.

The two of you stayed like this for a while, enjoying each other's presence, until both of your hearts stopped beating like crazy. When you tried to pull away, though, he held onto your arm, making you commit to the hug a bit more. "Stay a little longer." It's not like you had a choice. He was way stronger than you. But at least now you have a sweet boyfriend to hold hands with and to feel at home with.

How much have you longed for that feeling of belonging to someone's side.

Gorou yawned as you played with his ears. the soft fur feeling pleasant and calming between your fingers. as much as he says he doesn’t like people touching his tail and ears, he sure seems to enjoy you touching them. it makes you smile knowing he cares and trust you enough to touch them.

He moved his arm so it went over the middle of your back. rubbing soothing circles with his hands. your eyes start to feel heavy. the sensation of gorous soft fur and his hands rubbing your back being just want you needed after this exhausting day.

Gorou seemed rather irritable lately. He was often scratching the base of his ears and tail, growing more and more irritated as he continued. Listening to the poor boy grumble to himself, you decide you've seen enough and pull him into your lap. "You okay, puppy?"

"No." He groaned, pulling at his ear.

You grabbed his hand, not wanting him to hurt himself. "What's wrong?"

Letting out a whiney groan, Gorou leaned back against you, curling into himself for comfort. He mumbled something, hiding his face in his free hand.

"What was that, baby?" You asked, concerned he was getting sick.

Waiting for Gorou to answer, you threaded your fingers through his and wrapped your other arm around his waist. "I'm shedding."

"Aw, my poor puppy," you teased, pressing your face into his shoulder. "Do you need help? You looked like you were struggling earlier." When he nodded, you smiled, grabbing his waist and turning him around on your lap so he was facing you. "How do I help?"

After hours of carefully pulling Gorou's hair out of his ears and tail, he finally seemed content. Being left with a happy doggy and a pile of discarded brown hair, you pulled him down with you to lay down. "Are you happy now?" Gorou nodded against your chest, snaking his arms around your waist. "Good night, puppy." All you got in reply was a huff.

You debated unravelling yourself from him to clean up the fur pile, but ultimately deciding against it, you pulled him tighter against yourself. A quick kiss to his forehead, you finally allowed your eyes to finally close, joining Gorou in sleep.

but then you tell him that kokomi has it all covered and she agreed to let him take the day off

there weren’t any people other than the two of you, which was enough people

you two rarely see each other in the first place, mainly because of gorou being the head of the resistance

you two don’t do much, other than just get some nice food from the nearest restaurant and chill in your house

you also pamper him in kisses, because he deserves it :))

he gets all blushy when you suddenly cup his face and place kisses anywhere you can reach. you can also see his tail wagging and his ears twitching, which is adorable <33

when it’s close to night, you hear a knock on the door. what you didn’t expect was the one and oni arataki itto to be standing there, a somewhat large onikabitto(?) in his palm

without saying much, which is surprising for itto, he places the beetle into your hands and tells you that it’s a birthday gift for gorou

thanking him, you shut the door and walk back to gorou, telling him to close his eyes. after he does so, you place the beetle onto the table

gorou opens his eyes, widening them slightly at the sight of the beetle on the table right in front of him. he can instantly tell that it’s from itto

overall, it’s a pretty nice birthday for the precious, hard-working doggy general gorou :D

This one might seem rather rushed, there's kind of a time skip to a few weeks later at an awkward spot, and it might be hard to miss..hehe sorry..

I hope his tsundere isn't too subtle. It kind of turned into a shield for the self-doubt he was having... sorry I kind of went astray!!!

Warnings: Lots of self doubt from Gorou ummm yah nothing too unusual from my regular fics. I just can't help going there all. the. time

The army general. For the High Priestess, Kokomi Sangonomiya, no less. The "pointy-eared-general". He was someone a lot of his comrades looked up to, though sometimes he couldn't really figure out why.

He always thought his life would be simple. When it came to love, he didn't think something like that would benefit him. Not that benefit was something he was after all the time. He just didn't want something like that to weigh him down. He had far too many responsibilities.

And then he saw you.

All you were doing was speaking with the High Priestess Kokomi, but it felt like you were doing so much more. Your face was focused and you were discussing strategies for battle. He had never seen you before, but you seemed well-versed in the particular art of war. Someone scarred by the effects of it in one way or another.

He supposed that everyone in this region of Teyvat was. It would be selfish to wallow in self-pity over something like that, though. He stopped gawking as soon as he caught himself and straightened himself up again, entering his lady's camp with the feigned stupor of being completely calm and collected.

Though standing next to his lady now, with you looking at him with such curious eyes, he couldn't keep still. He felt like a child with a crush. Jittery and unable to keep his eyes off you. Though when yours met his, they would flit away instantly.

Embarrassed and confused, every day that he accompanies the two of you in his lady's tent, he tries to remain composed. And though eventually, you start to warm up to him, you were ignorant to the fact that he'd already warmed up to you long before.

Slowly but surely, the two of you ended up with each other more often than not. Running errands for kokomi- though it was much unbecoming of an army general like himself- he didn't mind if he was with you.

It seemed the two of you could talk for hours if it didn't get in the way of both your duties. He didn't know what to do. He wanted to get closer to you.

Then one day, he sat down to write answers for his advice column, and a question stood out to him.

"I met someone recently. He's very cute and seems to like me a lot. His tail wags whenever he sees me! He seems rather nervous, though, and I wouldn't want to drive him away with my feelings. However, I do like him a lot. How should I go about letting him know, Miss Hina?"

Recently. Wagging tail. He was thinking of you again.

Thump, thump, thump, thump-

He looked in the direction of the sudden noise. His tail. It really was wagging. He didn't know what else to do now. Was this question really from you?

It was extremely embarrassing and improper for someone in as high a position as him to be daydreaming about someone. He had far more important responsibilities to attend to, but still, he found you always at the top of his list.

He thought back to when the traveler had assisted Kokomi with some of her work so that she may rest and indulge herself in some of her personal hobbies for a little while.

The wind blew through his hair as he sat under the sakura tree. Not many people were out, and he enjoyed the tranquility at times like these.

He went to work writing a thoughtful response. It took up most of the column in the end. And though he prayed day and night until the next issue was released that the inquiry really was from you and that you were speaking about him.

But as the release date became closer, he started to regret the things he'd written. No, regret wasn't the word. He'd mulled over it for too long. He really did feel something for you, but could it really be love?

He lay in bed, unable to put his mind at ease as these thoughts seemed to conjure themselves.

Maybe he just admired you or looked up to you. No.

He thought about the way the light sometimes hit your eyes and how you always greeted him with a smile and his face felt hot. There was no mistaking the pounding of his heart and the beating of his tail against his bedding as he lay there alongside the rest of his comrades.

'As per your inquiry, they seem to like you a lot, don't they? Maybe you should decide first whether or not they simply admire you or maybe something more. If they act that way around you though, you probably have no doubt in your mind about the answer. Just say what you want to say to him. If they're so dedicated to being around you, something like that probably wouldn't drive them away so easily-"

As stated before, the answer continues. It took up more than half the column. He could only answer two questions this week. Yae Miko had no inquiries about his decision, so he didn't think about how much he'd written.

Somewhere in the tent, he heard shuffling, and he quickly stopped his movements and shut his eyes. The morning came.

Rumors unfolded quickly on Inazuma's main islands about the unfolding love story in Miss Hina's most recent advice column. Those that whispered of love confessions were overjoyed. He didn't really understand how people could be so infatuated with the lives of others, wouldn't they rather focus on their own?

But then again, he was the one who didn't think his "love story" was worth being interested in.

"Gorou!" He heard you call for him, and the wind whipped at his hair the way it had that night as he wrote his reply to, who he was certain now, was you. You were impossibly beautiful when he turned around to see you and your eyes met his bright ones.

"The High Priestess would like us to meet with her later today. I spoke to her earlier this morning. I was hoping I'd catch you here, let's go look at the sakura blossoms afterward, okay?" Time seemed to slow down. Even the beauty of the newly-bloomed sakura couldn't compare to you at that moment.

It was then that he became ashamed of his arrogance.

"Okay, let's have fun." Gorou smiled, though it could never be on par with your bright one, it seemed that he felt happiest by your side as always.

"Let's go get something to eat first." You hummed, letting out a small laugh before you reached out to grab his hand. He went stiff and you pulled him along. The heat he'd felt so many times before returned to his face, and people turned to look.

He became extremely aware of their whisperings from before, and even continuing now once again. What were they saying?

He glanced around.

"Y/N!" He exclaimed before he could even think about it. More heads turned now. You turned to look at him curiously, the two of you still connected where your hand grasped his wrist. He slipped his hand in to yours all the way and held it tightly.

"Right now." The tone of his voice was much softer, "You look beautiful."

Your eyes widened in surprise, and your mouth opened as if to say something, but he cut you off and continued.

"You're quite a determined person, and- having you by my side gives me so much confidence and self-doubt at the same time. But, despite that, I've come to realize that I'm happiest when I'm around you!" The confidence returned to his voice as he continued to speak.

"I think that. I lo- like you. A lot. So isn't it normal for me to doubt myself then...?" The last part was mostly to himself. Trying to justify his feelings. Though it was hard to admit to you, especially with so many eyes on the two of you, it felt right.

You simply smiled at him and continued to pull him along.

"I feel the same way. I even wrote to Miss Hina about it. You plagued my mind so much, I had to do something about it." You hummed, not looking back at him as you spoke. However, he could feel the way your hand trembled in his. You, no doubt, felt the same familiar heat that stretched up to your face and down your neck whenever he thought of you.

Except, you were thinking about him. Someone was worked up. Over him.

"Tell me again after we look at the cherry blossoms, please. When nobody is looking." You said, your voice quivering with your unusually quiet tone.

"O-Okay..." He said, smiling softly as he looked down at where your hands were linked together.

he's startled, that's something certain. xiao's not used to random actions like this; shouldn't one move with purpose...?

blinking at you, his round eyes are more so filled with surprise than disdain. "what... what did you just-" yet... well, you've just tapped your finger to his nose, and now you're grinning like an idiot... truly, the hearts of mortals were something he'd never quite understand.

"it's fun!" yet again, you move forwards, and while xiao is expecting another "boop" from your finger, he's caught off guard when you give him a small kiss on the nose instead.

"boop."

xiao's voice is uncharacteristically faint, quiet. "ah..."

he hides his face behind a hand, trying to evade his clear embarrassment before it catches your eyes. "you're so... stupid."

... and you'd almost believe it, if it weren't for the evident flush dusted across the tips of his ears.

" boop ! "

— 𝐊𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐇

he's well into his third drink by the time you boop his nose, and it takes him another few seconds and a lethargic blink or two before he even registers the action.

when he does, a silly smile spreads across his face, his already drunkenly flushed cheeks warming further. "booop?" the word slurs together, and a slow finger moves to boop you on your nose as well.

too bad, it misses the mark, and he ends up poking your upper lip, frowning when he does so. "ah, oops... lemme try again..." this time, he manages to find your nose. a smugly proud smile appears on his features thanks to the success.

god, he was so pathetic. you loved him for it.

cupping his cheek, you sneakily lean forward and press a kiss to his nose. his skin is warm to the touch. "boop." before he can strike back, you hit him with a double combo, this time kissing him on the lips.

"whuh.. no fair," his eyebrows furrow as he pouts childishly. "i wan..na... too..."

he falls asleep before he can finish his sentence, slumping onto the table and conking out immediately. as expected. you tuck his messy hair behind his ear with a fond smile. he'd have a hell of a headache in the morning. ah, but... tolerating his whines would be worth it — you'd gotten to kiss him, after all.

... his lips tasted like wine.

" boop ! "

— 𝐆𝐎𝐑𝐎𝐔

he jolts like he's been shocked, and you have to suppress a laugh at the sight. "e-eh, what was-?" one of his ears twitches subconsciously, and you can tell he's trying to maintain eye contact to the best of his abilities. hey, it wasn't everyday your lover swung by camp just to tap you on the nose... were you teasing him??

"it's a boop." you state it, matter-of-fact, and gorou only grows more helplessly confused. "boop." just like that, you poke him again. his eyes widen in realization (though he's far off the mark). agh, could it be that more rumors had spread of his "good luck", except this time, instead of rubbing his ears for good fortune, it's tapping his nose instead..?

you watch his eyes swirl with perplexion — really, what was the point in watching those highly-acclaimed entertainment films from fontaine when an entire life's worth of entertainment was right in front of you? "c'mon, don't tell me you've fallen for it too?"

...what was he even talking about? no matter, it was cute seeing him panic (though he'd disagree). you smile at him cheekily, "fallen? why, gorou, the only thing i've fallen for is you ~"

silence.

then the sound of someone choking. gorou upright sputters, his face hopelessly red, before springing forward and getting his revenge; that is, kissing you on the tip of your nose, too embarrassed to keep his eyes open while doing so.

"ugh, you're such a tease..."

... how could you not be, when he was so adorable?

" boop ! "

— 𝐋𝐘𝐍𝐄𝐘

he smiles, his eyes twinkling as they become upturned crescents. "oh? a tap to the nose..." he seems oddly delighted in the action, and perks up not long after, with a strange, mischievous shine in his eyes.

he shuffles through his signature deck of cards with a grin. "love, why don't you pick a card? any card from the deck, whichever one you want~"

you eye him suspiciously.

he has the demeanor of a cunning cat, one that if you turn your gaze away from for a mere second, is sure to cause trouble. well... he was your lover, so you should have some faith in him. drawing a card from the ones he's presented in his hands, you receive the two of hearts.

before you can even properly glance up from your cards, you're met with a faceful of brilliant red roses, each delicate petal perfectly curving in place and green, glistening leaves healthy and lush. lyney's the one behind it all, a smug smile on his lips, and before you can even open your mouth to speak, he leaps forward and swiftly kisses your nose.

"boop."

and he sticks his tongue out, smoothly tucking a rose (without thorns, mind you) into your hair.

hell, he was so smooth. your brain wasn't even able to register half his actions until half a minute after, and when you did, your face burned.

"haha~ what's wrong, love?"

... this guy was seriously dangerous for your heart.

" boop ! "

— 𝐖𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐒𝐋𝐄𝐘

he stares you dead in the eyes, in a sort of, "did you really just do that?" kind of way. it's not that he's disappointed, per say, but more so shocked; even siegewinnie wouldn't dare do such a thing like pokingg the duke's nose, (on second thought, maybe she would)... either way, he sits there in a sort of shell-shocked manner, the cup of tea he had begun to lift to his lips long forgotten. "you..."

"boop." you say it like it's all the explanation he needs. in case he doesn't understand, you'll be so generous as to say it a second time, nodding your head for extra confirmation. "boop."

he lets out a lighthearted sigh, one that makes it easy to tell he's on the edge of releasing a chuckle. crossing his arms over his desk and leaning over it, he grabs your chin with his fingers, gently lifting it to raise your gaze to his level.

"boop." this time, he's the one booping you, and he seems all too amused about it, a sly smile on his lips as he does it moves to do it once more. "boop."

hey, was he copying you-? the thought isn't able to completely form before your brain utterly short circuits; the reason? none other than the duke of the fortress of meropide kissing your nose, of course.

wriothesley's enjoying this way too much... yet he seems so utterly unaffected when he pulls away, settling back into his chair and taking a serene sip of his tea, like he hadn't just committed several war crimes against your heart.

... fuck, if it skipped too many beats, would you die??
