Ancient Valyrian Houses

While digging through “Princess in Valyria” by Third Advisor Yas Yao, I have been identifying, sorting, and listing all mentioned Valyrian houses.
I’ll start with the most notable dragonlords’ houses. House Volanta, House Myron, House Tyro and House Lysander. These houses are well known for their freehold cities. House Volanta founded the city of Volantis, House Myron established Myr, House Tyro set up Tyrosh, and House Lysander founded the city of Lys.
It would be House Lysander with the greatest impact on Yi Ti. Prince Chai Pyr married Valyrian noblewoman Laelya Lysander. In accordance with Valyrian traditions, Emperor Chai Zi besotted a great deal of platinum for Lady Laelya’s hand in marriage to his nephew. Through her line would come the purple emperors.
Other Dragonlords’ house mentioned by Third Advisor Yas Yao were House Belaerys, House Naeryt, House Oncar, House Goro, and House Dyren. House Belaerys gave their daughter to Emperor Chai Duq in marriage. House Goro is said to govern over the Valyrian city of Oros during Princess Priti Chai’s time. Whether its house name influence the city’s name or not is unknown.
There is one Valyrian dragonlord’s house which isn’t provide in “Princess in Valyria.” In “Tales of Prince Choq Nen,” scribe Ayo Ve mentions House Merys, which had a fleet of Valyrian ships much like House Velaryon has now in Westeros.
Like in Westeros, dragonlords have vassal houses. These houses were divided into noble origins and bastard made. House Mantarys, House Arnon, House Iyar and House Savyon were all noble made. House Savyon, despite being a second caste house, married Princess Priti Chai and eventually rose to dragonlord status.
As for bastard made houses, these included House Enar, House Garadon, House Egyn, House Chyron, and House Farhaen. Unlike Westeros, bastard made houses are not looked down upon. Sometimes, dragonlords favored them more if the Blood of the Dragon is strong. There has been rumors that they have even sought to raise these houses to dragonlord status. It’s like with House Celtigar and House Velaryon. The Targaryens favor the Velaryons for marriage. It’s said though their blood cannot sustain dragonriders on their own, their blood doesn’t taint or diminish the Targaryen’s dragon blood.
The most interesting house among the bastard houses is Garadon. There is some controversy of whether or not Princess Priti Chai’s eldest daughter Laesha had a common marriage to Eudor Garadon. Sad to say, it can’t be substantiated Third Advisor Yas Yao description of Valyrian society. Though, his account of the caste system for Valyrian and its houses names have never been in questioned. It still leaves many questions.
Third Advisor Yas Yao asserted that while we have been told there are forty dragonlords, the number is truly an estimate. During his life, he stated the number rose and fell. House Oncar lost its position as dragonlord, while House Chyron rose to it. He said that if a noble house can have three generations of dragonriders, they will receive the status of dragonlords, an estate and a seat on the senate of seniors. It would have been thrilling to know the dragonlord genealogy fully. However, the third advisor was the only Yi Tish historian to endeavor to write on the subject.
It is still unknown whether House Targaryen existed in this time period. This is all that I have discern at this. I hope it can be of some benefit to others in pursuit of learning more about ancient Valyria.

Vasari ne parla nelle Vite: "Dipingevasi questi ceri in varie fantasie; onde venne come in proverbio il dirsi un bel cero di chi è di buon aspetto, ma insieme è balordo, e senza mitidio". Senza mitidio sta a significare scriteriato.

Theory Time!
So it's been a long time since I thought about this, but since we are all talking about Joyboy again due to the last manga chapter. I think it is a good moment to point out an idea!
So... do you remember when Law tells Doffy about the Ds? (Frankly sounds like a statement: us the D against the fake gods, the celestial dragons)
The "D" will blow up a STORM again!
Interesting, Law... where else do we have a "storm" named? Yes! One of the verses of Binks no Sake tells us about a storm!
Somewhere in the endless sky, a STORM has started coming by
Waves a-dancing, sails a-prancing through the wind and rain
If we let blow winds of fear, then the end of us is near
Even so tomorrow the sun rise again
Yo-ho-ho-hoo, yo-ho-ho-hoo!

Now, do you remember when Robin asked about Joyboy to King Neptune?
Neptune tells about Joyboy being someone who made a promise, right?
They don't really know what and why that ship called "Noah" is there, but they do know that once the promise comes about the Noah will FULFILL it's purpose.
And so, you might ask me what the fuck has to do this with storms? Well... let's say that there is a certain myth that probably most of the cultures and some religions have: the Flood Myth!
A flood myth or deluge myth is a myth in which a great flood, usually sent by a deity or deities, destroys civilization, often in an act of divine retribution. Parallels are often drawn between the flood waters of these myths and the primaeval waters which appear in certain creation myths, as the flood waters are described as a measure for the cleansing of humanity, in preparation for rebirth. Most flood myths also contain a culture hero, who "represents the human craving for life".
Good, the floods are created by rains -mostly-. Well, storms bring the rain, aren't they?
Good, good... then, related to the myth there is NOAH'S ARK (I'm pretty sure you all know about, but just in case...)
Noah's Ark (Hebrew: תיבת נח; Biblical Hebrew: Tevat Noaḥ) is the vessel in the Genesis flood narrative (Genesis chapters 6–9) through which God spares Noah, his family, and examples of all the world's animals from a world-engulfing flood
Now, have you seen how it is depicted? They look kinda similar, don't they?

So... what does this mean?
Well I strongly believe that:
1. Luffy and co will create somehow a HUGE storm (don't forget about Dragon having -maybe- some kind of fruit that creates STORMS and Kaido creating constant storms around Onigashima).
Edit: Also I remembered about Enel (a fake god, just like Im) who had the Goro Goro no mi that creates thunder... and also had his "ship" right? well...
They kinda look alike...
(Joyboy is strongly related with Skypea and Nika... and Enel was the bad guy from Skypea...)
2. Remember Arabasta? the problem came when there was a certain powder that was able to create STORMS. Do you remember who's photo had Imu-sama on her/his/their hands? Yeah, VIVI the princess of ARABASTA. What was the main problem? the lack of RAIN!!!
3. Edit 2: I keep remembering shit! Do you remember the Aqua Laguna in Water 7? YES, THE FLOODS?? WELL... W7 was the place where Tom's Workers built... THE ORO JACKSON AND THE THOUSAND FUCKING SUNNY!!!
4. What will this storm, and consequent flood create? THE DESTRUCTION OF THE RED LINE DUE TO THE POWERFULL FORCES OF THE WATER (AND IN MY OPINION, SEA KINGS AND SPECIALLY WHALES HITING THE DAMN RED LINE.... DO YOU REMEMBER LABOON? SHE WAS HITTING THE RED LINE CONSTANTLY) -- the destruction of the Red Line will create no other that the union of 4 seas, hence the ALL BLUE. But also the FALL OF FALSE GODS (Tenryuubitos). Leading to the ENDING of the night... depicted by the DAWN! (I'm pretty sure the D comes from Dawn)
5. The Noah will be useful to be able to save people from those floods.

ILLEGIBLE’S TOTALLY SUBJECTIVE FAVORITE EORZEA COLLECTION DESIGNS: SPILLOVER
NOTE: This was originally going to be a collection where everything was in one post, but it legitimately got so big that the post couldn’t save. And doing by halvesies broke all the links. So instead, I’m going to try and separate it into smaller chunks and see if that works.
I’ve mentioned in the past, the main thing that made me start playing FFXIV properly was seeing people’s character designs. I’m still blown away by the creativity and range of approaches people bring to this game, so I’ve decided to be an absolute madwoman and break my favorites into subcategories to share with anyone curious.
And to be clear. I’m not going to do something so broad as “oh top ten in-general :3″ because that would be sensible.
No, I’m going to do it for all the current combat jobs. And all the current races. And different genders within the races and combat jobs as things stand. And I’m going to make a face-focus subcategory. And there are gonna be LOTS.
Because I seriously cannot understate how inspired I’ve been by this community, and after however many years I just feel the need to vomit some incredible visuals I’ve encountered at you guys lol.
ANOTHER NOTE: In an abundance of caution, I want to stress this list isn’t a value judgment on anyone but a fragment of things that blew me personally away. Looking at the DRK sections it will be immediately clear that I Illegible really like that edgy dark knight aesthetic lmao, but there are plenty of non-edgy dark knights that I also love to bits. Other people might not like edgy dark knights.
Due to a combination of size and search constraints plus trying to keep gear somewhat varied, these glamours are just what wound up on this particular list of mine. I could make another list one day. Other people can make lists too that are totally different.

Its dumb but my biggest peeve is people calling G/oro evil. He did bad things, but I don't think he's evil. At least his original VA did say the same thing so I feel less stupid, but it feels weird when other G/oro fans say "yeah we like him because he's evil!" when I don't, I think he's morally gray and I want him to have redemption. Sometimes even with other fans I feel like I'm being judged for liking the character wrong lol
yeahhh I feel like some ppl probably say that bc they just want people to leave them alone but like. goro isn’t evil??? he’s a very traumatized teenager who made choices that ended up effecting others horribly (while also resulting in him being further traumatized and abused himself)
I generally say I like him because he’s morally gray bc.... it’s pretty much true, I love morally questionable characters. but also like ???? goro pretty much has the same morals as the thieves, he just didn’t have access to the ability to change hearts and was instead groomed into murder
like I would say the only real divergence goro has w the thieves is that he’s much more misanthropic than they are and he thinks brainwashing is worse than murder (which I mean. they don’t actually all disagree here ann would absolutely agree that a change of heart is worse and that’s why she chose it. but ann also probably is the least likely of the thieves to object to goro warning to actively torture shido)
