En los 90 diversos investigadores sostenían que el vuelo de los abejorros en realidad era imposible, y que iba en contra de todas las leyes de la aerodinámica.
Eso dio pie a frases como, "Está demostrado que es imposible que el abejorro pueda volar, pero él no lo sabe", una frase que motiva el ingenio y la búsqueda de soluciones a retos "imposibles".
Investigadores de la Universidad de Washington develaron el "misterio", los estudios científicos arrojaron información acerca de que los abejorros mueven sus alas hacia delante y hacia atrás, en lugar de moverlas hacia arriba y hacia abajo como suelen pensar la mayoría de las personas.
Además el estudio evidenció que las pequeñas alas de estos insectos en comparación con su tamaño tienen la fuerza suficiente para mantenerlos en el aire compensando su diseño, peso y gasto de energía.
Otro dato es que pueden generar hasta 300 aleteos por segundo, un colibrí por ejemplo tiene entre 50-80 aleteos por segundo.
Una curiosidad más es que pueden picar repetidas veces ya que no mueren tras hacerlo una primera vez a diferencia de las abejas.

It must be well-rubbed, the tired stomach that has been dozing under all the fat must be awoken and cheered up, so my feeder will be amazed seeing me as a good obedient glutton I have always been for him. On the kitchen table there is over-cooked pasta with cheap cheese in a huge bowl, fried potato in a wide fried pan, and some cool burgers. Far aside, an apple pie that was bought on discount says hallo to my fat gut. My feeder has already opened the first bottle of beer to wash the chow down my gullet...

Idk how Colombian icon, painter and sculptor Fernando Botero isn't constantly doing crazy numbers on Tumblr.
Some photos I took in the Museo del Botero in Bogotá, Colombia yesterday. He was a super-prolific artist whose every work is a love letter to fatness.
Even this skeleton is fat!
Fat Mona Lisa! Her eyes follow you around the room just like the original.
Look at this dancing couple! The woman has underarm hair, too!

thinking about gordito and mexican identity.....
anyway, when you think of the stereotypical brown skinned latino person, you're actually usually thinking of a mestizo, a person of mixed european and indigenous descent, at least from my understanding
and gordito is actually specified as mexican, so yeah! this is a bit of a ramble to say that i definitely think gordito has indigenous mexican heritage 👍 idk
