Hi Shakooo! 😊 The setup of Thneedville High (which was later renamed Thornville High after deoncelerization) was very different from the original Truffula Flu! Instead of a focused storyline, it was mainly a bunch of askblogs of high school AU OCs that answered asks and sometimes interacted with each other in short or long RPs, and each character had their own story. Much more slice of life compared to a zombie AU, but it was super popular during its time and it lasted at least 3 years! There were a LOT of amazing writers in this AU and they wrote their characters really well, I was very impressed with it all. Some of the characters felt like real actual people to me.

Anyway this means that...it's difficult to read the AU as a whole, chronologically. But you can look here: https://thornville.fandom.com/wiki/Category:Characters for a list of characters and links to their blogs. However, since this wiki hasn't been updated in years, I assume that it's not a complete list and that a lot of the links will be outdated or dead. What I advise, if you want to read thoroughly, is to just choose a character you're interested in and start reading their entire blog from the beginning, and eventually you'll find characters that they've interacted with, and you can read those characters' blogs next if they still exist, and so on.

Anyways, before I go to bed, a reminder for anyone who might be feeling down, or going through something tough. To anyone who hasn't heard it recently enough: You're Doing Great

Even if you're going through something right now, even if you're feeling distressed, upset, angry, or hopeless about it. That's okay, and you're not failing somehow, or taking away from other people by feeling whatever you might be feeling. Just feel what you need to feel, cry if you want to, take a nap, whatever it is you need.

Then, once you're ready, once you start to feel better, then you can try to pick yourself up, brush yourself off and try and have fun, appreciate life and the world. Even if it's slow to get there. You're gonna do great, and it's okay if it's a bit messy and you keep falling down. Let downs and mistakes don't make you a bad person, they're just a part of existing. You'll get past this eventually, I believe in you

Hey there! I'm just curious how you do the hovertext for the translations in Bloodletting. Is there a resource you use for how to do it, or do you have any tips for it? I'm working on a fic where hover text would be useful and was just curious if you had any tips ^-^

Hey friend! I posted a mini tutorial for the method I use here.

I will note, there are multiple ways to create hovertext and edit how it appears/etc. After I wrote that mini tutorial, I did end up going back to make the boxes on bloodletting a little skinnier so they didn't go off the page. I can show you how to do that if you want, just DM me!

I keep meaning to put together a little compilation of all the hovertext methods I've seen used, just so folks can choose the one they like best. I need to get on that...

i remember this tutorial helped me a lot when i first attempted to color manga, and to this day i still think it's a great tutorial for beginners! it is old but still useful to learn the very basics

and then you can check out this tutorial that my talented friend aki made a few weeks ago which i find super useful!! this one you can use to enhance your colorings after learning the basics and add your own artistic touch to them! of course everyone has different styles/tastes but i think you can grasp the idea of how to make your colorings look more interesting and fun!

it's very fun to play with colors and use different lightings etc. so don't be afraid to try new things on your colorings! they don't have to turn out amazing, you can just practice and eventually you'll find a style you're comfortable with!! when i first started making colorings i didn't like the results and couldn't find my own style until a few years ago. even now it constantly changes, and that's the fun of coloring ☺
