Seeing as were are going down the body swap list with Mario. I feel it only makes sense to ask what if Mario and Luigi swapped body.

On one hand I feel that nothing would really change. As the two of them are similar. They would be confused, and such but the they are already so comfortable around the other that I feel like they wouldn’t be in much of a hurry to switch back.

If we want to make it angsty I can see Luigi feeling just how sore Mario really is. Like he knew before, that his brother’s body has taken a toll over the years but he’s never felt the extent of it himself. Luigi would apologize, hug his brother, and said he wishes he was better so Mario wouldn’t shoulder everything on his own.

With Mario I feel he would be able to feel all of Luigi’s anxiety. All his twitches and ticks and feeling guilty that he can’t prevent those fears but then feeling so much pride that his little brother is still able to push through despite those fears, praising Luigi that he’s far better then he thinks he is.

I know the perfect gift that Mario could make for Luigi. A wooden carving of a trophy that either says “You’re my Hero” or “Best Brother Ever.” on it. It’s even painted in warm, pastel colors. Luigi wouldn’t be able to hold back tears, immediately hugging Mario and would treasure it with all his heart.
