"She likes books, she likes me.. she likes to be held when the moonlight caresses her dreams. She likes it when I touch her just right, a tickle to be fancied along her thighs at night with a smile just for me to see.. she is like a book, at the least something sweet, maybe a book just for me that only my heart can read. She is confusing, almost as if she is a philosophy.. she likes science, she likes space. She loves it when I kiss her from her neck to her lips, and then drip those kisses between her knees.. spending time with her is like a journey into the chapters of her mind, and I find that I just need a little more time. Between the pages of her thoughts, sometimes hot, sometimes sweet.. but this I tell you, it is so sweet stroking the paragraphs of her needs."
I'm just saying maino.. sometimes things aren't as they seem.. a nightmare can easily become a pretty sweet dream - eUë

That "finished a good book" high
Let's see if I can channel the creative energy from finishing a really good book series into my own creative projects and update!
(It was the finale of Children of the Fox by Kevin Sands, in case you were wondering. If you like found family, magical heists, and a really cool melding of that world's folklore and history. Give it a shot.)

Book summary:
The Afterlife has a flyover state, and it's called Purgatory.
Overlooked, often misunderstood, and exactly where Terry ends up.
After taking her own life, Terry isn't met with pearly gates or fire and brimstone, but with gray office buildings and a crummy apartment. She wakes up on Purgatory's lowest level with no memory of her life, a lot of questions, and a job to work off the years she had left on Earth as a Soul Shepherd in the hope of achieving a better ultimate destination.
She meets Dean, her quippy, sarcastic manager who evades her questions at every turn, but whose help Terry will need if she ever has a chance to move forward or find out who she used to be. And with the help of new friends who know what it's like to be stuck in limbo, she's determined to make the best of a weird situation.
Besides...she's already dead, what's the worst that could happen?
TW: mentions of suicide but not shown on-page, depression, death, and (alluded to) transphobia

I just finished reading...
Doctor Who: Combat Magicks - Steve Cole
Where 13 and The Fam go back in time into the conflict between Atilla The Hun & The Romans.
There are witches and mystery afoot and The Doctor and her friends have to team up with some horrific and barbaric leaders to save the day.
This was my first 13 novel, and the first Doctor Who novel ive read since I used to binge 10 era books as a child.
I loved this book !!! I found the characterisation of 13 to be absolutley perfect !!!! she's inventing, she's rambling out loud, she's just really really.... there ! nailed her essence.
Graham was repeatedly hillarious, making me laugh out loud for some perfect comic relief.
Ryan was super interesting in this book ! being dyspraxic and falling over, but also being dashing amd handsome and flirty and strong in his own blustering way
Yaz was just doing usual Yaz straightman role but with plenty of her stoney charm to go round !
the setting was maybe not the coolest, ive never really cared for The Huns, but I was super engaged and I cant wait to read some more 13 era stories
would recommend for anyone craving a fix of 13 and the fam, it certainly ticked all the boxes i wanted
