Yeaterday was November 1, so of course it was time to watch the Muppet Christmas Carol. Is it possible you could give us some facts about this movie!!!
Light the lamp, not the rat! Light the lamp, not the rat!
I've already done five facts about The Muppet Christmas Carol! Those would be Muppet Fact #48, Muppet Fact #98, Muppet Fact #213, Muppet Fact #214, and Muppet Fact #399! Today's fact, Muppet Fact #527, will also be about the film since you requested it!

Potatoes in any iteration, really. I was a hobbit in a former life, I think!
Thanks for the ask! ❤️

whisper
I feel your hands like ghosts down my sides and I say
Come back to me,
where are you?
(you were never there to begin with)
Then I wonder
how I can long for something
I never had?
(but I do, I did, just once, so long ago)
I feel your lips like feathers in my hair
And I tip my head back into your kiss but
it’s just
the
rain

I thought
I heard
footsteps
on the
stairs
up to
my door
but
it was
only rain,
it was
only shadows,
it was only
a wish,
lighting a
cigarette,
turning up
its collar,
pausing
to stare
up at
my window.

Blood boiling with resentment,
personas piling on the floor,
bent over, begging repentant.
Cursed with bleeding eyes, forced to realise,
I can only see darkness amidst broad daylight.
Shadows of sins cloud over my lofty life,
No matter where I run, I cannot hide,
the consequences weigh heavy,
pride’s killing me everyday,
it chokes my soul, steady.
Feel like the world wants me to pray for them,
But who's praying for me?
Nobody's ready, it's plain to see,
So I just pray for me.

I have found things worthwhile in this world: the kindness of a stranger, true friendship, the innocence of a child's laughter, the beauty of dreams, true love between souls, and the joy of writing, to name a few, and while I have also encountered the deplorable I wish to focus my eyes on the beauty and the worthwhile, the things worth saving, the things worth living for.

this world is boundless
and we are unbound
unspooled in a great heap
trying to fit ourselves back together
this universe is knotted
and so is our destiny
but that won't stop the people in the attic
trying to untangle it all
I am with them
watching the dust motes in the air
and their chaotic proof
of a cosmic wind that blows us all equally along
and when we finally figure it out
our labor will create heaven on Earth
this is beautiful we'll say,
this could last forever

Wayfaring Hearts
I only had Grace, hated this place,
But meeting you set my head spinning,
Gun in my face, a bullet graze,
We were star-crossed from the beginning.
All of their lies, I locked up inside,
I was a soldier in need of a war.
With you at my side, your star as my guide,
I learned I could be something more.
Taking a risk, with all of life's twists,
You faced hell just to save more lives.
With gun and fists, I guarded your six,
And thanked the stars that you somehow survived.
Struck by a reef, of loss and grief,
I let the fates take both mast and spar.
I wanted relief, some inner peace,
Only to realize I needed your star.
Blood, sweat, and tears; laughter and beers,
I thought we had forged a family,
But after all these years, you disappeared.
Guess love wasn't in the stars for me.
I'm alright, I'm doing fine.
Ever since your star crossed mine--
I always knew it would end.
Your star saved me again and again--
We could never be something more--
Wait, why are you standing at my door?
I want to make up for lost time, hitch your star to mine,
Cuz your love led me back to the shore.
note 1: These awesome, wonderful, incredible gifs were all made by the amazingly talented @somethingincrediblyright
note 2: The traditional Polynesian science of star navigating is often called wayfaring.
note 3: I had something completely different planned for Danny's b-day, but somehow this happened instead.

the shape of the moon
the whisper of a breeze
echoes through the house
we’ll never live in
it kicks up dust
from your unused wicker chair
and rustles the dead flowers
on the windowsill
outside the overgrown garden
aches to be frolicked in
our bones feed the flowers
wild the way you wanted to be
growing free as our house rots
a perfect sphere
shining in the moonlight
the moon put the wind in your bones
so you could visit once more
without considering how hard
it would be to leave again
easy for her to say
she ebbs and flows
but we’re only buried once
we fall apart
slowly, slowly.

Fistful of Moonlight
fistful of moonlight
dripping through desperate fingers
this is
the last of it
before the starving dark
smoke signals spiral
invisible against
the sky
the last of the night fire
smoldering and too weak to
return to burning
welcome to
the salt-less ocean
waves of indifference
apologies to the water
it isn’t listening
a death inevitable
to mortals
exposed to nature’s
fundamental unkindness
the sunrise
asks forgiveness
for the sunset’s disappearance
night
echoing forever
regardless.

@sherrylephotography My poetry and photography 3/23/23
China cup nest
Teeny tiny china cup nest
Hurricane gust blow the bough
Her chicks are nestled deep in the tiny cup
Boom Thunder so loud it breaks the sound barrier
The vibration reaches down to the depths of my soul
Like a faucet on full blast the rain is drenching everything in sight
Suddenly the sun pushes the clouds away
And brings us a colorful rainbow
The hummingbird and her chicks survive, at-least for today
How can something so fragile be so strong

confession: a friend and I split a fifth of whiskey one night, and then decided, as teenagers are wont to do, that we should borrow another friend’s motorcycle—and ride through a National Forest🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha!! I hope said motorcycle survived its adventure! 😂😂😂
Thanks for the ask!!
