Belos is a self-fulling prophecy, in a way. He keeps making Golden Guards, despite knowing they will betray him in the end. Belos would have probably had an easier time and gotten the Day of Unity done faster if he hadn’t made Golden Guards who continuously messed up his plans. Belos knows this. He’s so twisted. He’s that obsessed with his brother and his perceived betrayal.
