Imagine: Gohan teasing you.

You dash as fast as your feet can take you. There was a big ball of energy surging through you that you couldn't contain the excitement anymore.

Gohan was back!

When your mom had told you the news that Chi-Chi was over the moon about her family returning from a long trip, you couldn't wait to go see Gohan.

You hadn't even finished your lunch! Instead, you simply got up from the table and headed towards the Son household immediately.

You felt the breeze run through your hair as you ran like you had never run before. You felt the coldness of the air freeze your lungs, but you kept on running through. You felt your sides cramping up, causing you to slow down, but you didn't stop for anything.

You didn't want to stop till you reached Gohan's front door.

From a distance, you can see the little house appear.

You squealed in excitement because you knew that in just a few moments, you'd see Gohan.

I need to slow down and catch my breath! I can't show up panting like a mad person!

Your sprinting lessens to small jogs and then to walking.

You can feel your heart pounding in your chest as you struggle to catch your breath.

You laugh to yourself as you feel a stabbing sensation on your side, "Haha! Yeah! I knew I should have slowed down back there."

You grab your side as you take in short breathes; I hope Gohan doesn't want to race. The last thing I need is to run.

As the house's perspective becomes more enormous and more evident, a prominent goofy smile forms on your face. You notice your heart begins to beat in your chest, causing you to hear your own heartbeat.

Why am I so nervous? You run your fingers against your palm and notice they're all clammy.

You finally arrive at the front door -- you stop.

You clench your hands in excitement and take in a deep breath, and knock.

It didn't take long until Chi-Chi opened the door and greeted you with a smile, "Hi, Y/N! It's so lovely to see you!"

"Hi, Ms. Chi-Chi." You greet, giving her a small wave, "How are you?"

"I'm doing great! Never been better! Goku and Gohan are back from--" Chi-Chi stops in the middle of her sentence and hesitates a bit.

You furrow your brows at the sudden trail off, "Back from where?"

"From their long father-son trip!" Chi-Chi flashes you a smile as she chuckles nervously.

Okay, that was strange.

"I'm here to see Gohan if that's okay with you, Ms. Chi-Chi."

"Oh! Of course! You know I never say no to you, Y/N! You're Gohan's best friend!" Chi-Chi looks over her shoulder and calls out to the boy.

"Coming, mom!"

Your heart begins to beat faster as you recognize that husky voice anywhere.

"Hey, mom! What's up?"

Chi-Chi steps aside, and behind her, you see a boy with blonde hair and green eyes wearing a white traditional martial arts uniform.

"G-Gohan?" You ask, unsure.

The boy stared at you with a slightly confused expression on his face but was quickly switched out by a broad smile, "Y/N! It's you!"

Gohan runs to you and embraces you in a hug, lifting you off the ground.

You let out a small grunt as you feel the boy's tight hug around you.

"I've missed you so much!" Gohan gently swings you side to side, still holding onto you tightly.

"Gohan put her down. She probably can't breathe." Lectured Chi-Chi from behind.

"Oops, sorry."

You gasp for air as Gohan sets you down. You notice his cheeks turn bright pink from embarrassment.

After gathering your breath, you manage to muster out a hoarse question, "G-G-Gohan, what happened to you?"

"Huh?" Gohan's pink undertones fade away, "What do you mean?"

You gesture towards his hair.

"Oh!" Begins Gohan laughing, "It's a long story! Come on, let's go to the lake! I'll tell you all about it!"

He grabs your hand and begins to run, guiding you.

"Gohan! Don't be out too late! You have to walk Y/N home!" Calls out Chi-Chi from behind us.

"Don't worry, mom! I will!"

Gohan continues to pull you along, but you begin to dig your heels on the ground to slow down, "Gohan, wait."

He looks over his shoulder and slows down to a stop, "Is there something wrong?"

"I actually ran all the way here from home --nonstop. I'm a bit tired from running. Can we walk?" You ask shyly.

"Oh!" Exclaims Gohan, who bursts out laughing, "Why walk when we can fly!"

You're taken aback by the world 'fly.'

"I'm sorry, what?"

He wraps his arm around your waist and begins to float off the ground, taking off to the sky.

Your eyes widen as you look at the trees as you two pass them from above. Your heart begins racing once more.

"Y-you can fly?" You ask, completely in shock.

"Yeah! It's fun!"

You couldn't believe what you were experiencing, first the blonde and green eyes and now the flying! Is this kid really Gohan?

Within a few moments, he lowers the two of you down onto the ground. You feel a little lightheaded as your feet touch the dirt floor. You struggle to stand as you topple to your side a bit.

"Are you okay?" Asked Gohan as he catches you.

"Yeah, I'm wonderful. Just not used to flying, that's all."

"Oh, right." He chuckles, "Bet you're wondering what's going on."

"You're betting correctly," You say as you nod a 'thank you' to Gohan as you balance yourself.

Gohan begins to walk to the lake and gestures you to follow him.

You both arrive at the edge and take a seat.

"No, way." You say as you rise from the ground.

Gohan stared at you intently; he wasn't sure how to read you.

You grab a stone and throw it across the lake. Your gaze follows the rock as it skips five beats then sinks under the water.

After a few moments of silence, you turn to look at Gohan -- smiling.

"I'm just glad you're well and alive through all that." You cross your arms, "That explains I didn't see you for a year. That also explains why I never saw you after you and your mom took your dad to the hospital. You had gone to another planet!"

"Yup!"

"I asked your mom where you had gone, and she always said on a trip with your dad."

"Yeah, sorry about that." Chuckled Gohan as he nervously scratched his head. "But I'm back -- for now! My dad wants us to relax and enjoy before our next big fight with Cell."

"Are you nervous?"

"A little, but Dad doesn't seem to be, and I trust my dad."

"That's good." You say, taking your seat next to Gohan, "I just want you to be okay."

"I will! I have my dad and Piccolo."

You show Gohan a slight smile; you were still nervous and worried despite his confidence and casualty about the conversation.

Gohan quickly stands up and offers you his hand, "Come on, let's do something fun!"

You look up at him, smiling, and grab his hand, "Okay! Like what?"

"Fishing!"

"Fishing?" You ask skeptically.

"Yup! My dad and I do it differently! I'll show you!" Gohan grabs your hand once more and guides you into the water.

You take in a staggered breathe as the coldness washes over your legs.

"Alright!" Begins Gohan, clenching his fists in excitement. "My dad and I catch the fish with our hands. Watch!"

Gohan turns to look down at the water; his facial expression quickly turns from a joyous onto a serious one, and he quickly widens his stance. He narrows his eyes and promptly buries his hand in the water, pulling out a fish.

"Whoa!" You say as your child-like eyes widen in wonder.

"You try." Gohan releases the fish back into the water and shakes his hand to dry off the water. "All you have to do is focus and concentrate on the current of the water. When you see a fish, you quickly try and grab it!"

You nod in agreement and focus your gaze at the water; you widen your stance just like you had seen Gohan do. You take in a deep breath and narrow your eyes. You would see a few fishes pass by, but you didn't feel ready to try and catch one.

You soon see a fish that you feel is right for the taking; you slowly ready your arm and then jab towards the fish. You feel the fish's harsh scales against your hand as you wrap your fingers around it. You quickly yank it out of the water as it flops in your hand.

The great force you use to pull the fish out of the water causes you to lose your balance and fall back into the water. You feel the hard lake ground collide with your bottom as your body soaks into the water.

You hear Gohan's slow chuckles change into loud laughs. You narrow your eyes, annoyed at the boy as he stands before you, laughing and innocently pointing a finger at you.

You growl and splash water at him, causing him to laugh more. but your annoyance quickly disappears as you begin to laugh too.

Gohan extends his hand out to you, and you gladly take it but pull him into the water with you. This stops him from laughing and stares at you wide-eyed.

You laugh harder than before as you throw your head back.

Gohan joins you as he splashes some water at you; you quickly get up to create a distance between the two of you.

The two of you begin an intense water fight -- splashing cold water at each other.

Both your waves of laughter can be heard throughout the woods as the two of you continue to play.
