Pull List (11/22/2023)
Avengers Inc #3
Batman/Superman: World's Finest #21
Hawkgirl #5
Immortal X-Men #17
Jay Garrick: The Flash #2
Justice League Vs. Godzilla Vs. Kong #2
Justice Society of America #7
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #114
Minor Threats: The Alternates #3
Moon Knight: City of the Dead #5
Wolverine #39
Avengers Inc - A bit jarring between the cover art and the interior art not really matching up, but I still am onboard with this book.
World's Finest - I've stated this before, but I've never been a fan of Kingdom Come. I do think Waid and Mora can make this work. With Mora's great art and Waid dipping back into something he's familiar with, I do think this can be compelling.
Hawkgirl - I flipped through - because I am behind with this series - and I am little confused on what I saw. Need to play catch up badly.
Immortal X-Men - Saving something for a later title, but anyway a Jean issue during this event I think will work well.
Jay Garrick: The Flash - Just raced through issue one so I wasn't too far behind getting into this. I think Adams did a great job on his Flash (title) run, and I do think this miniseries will be a good look at how Jay handles Judy. I do like that in issue one it made reference to the fact Jay couldn't have children, and I am hoping that's not the only reference to that fact. A lot more to see here.
JL Vs. Godzilla Vs. Kong - I did manage to read this one, too. I do think the set-up has to happen in a way to get the Monsters colliding with the JL. Using the Legion of Doom was a odd choice to do it. Weird to think this is the only Justice League book at the moment. I saw Supes punching Godzilla on the first few panels in issue two - I would like more of that!
JSA - Johns takes so long with this book I have to think really hard and remind myself what happened last issue. And last issue was an 'Aftermath' issue to reset the table for the next few issue. I do not think Johns is using his time well with this book. I do hope this issue manages to do more than what the last six gave readers. I want a JSA book, but I don't want to waste my time. And Johns is working in his own continuity - remember folks, we are not living in a new Golden age; we are living in a new Silver age.
MMPR - Too much stuff is happening in this title, and not enough page space for it. Considering dropping this title soon. Haven't been in a PR mood since I stopped playing Legacy Wars, too. We'll see.
The Alternates - I've always been curious on how superhero universes work. One of the reasons I still like getting DC and Marvel books is that the universes have been ongoing for decades. You can play catch up, but not a lot and that's fun. Minor Threats is new and is influenced by pop culture and previous ideas about superheroes. Dark Horse letting people play with that idea is nice and a cool change of pace.
Moon Knight: City of the Dead - I think Scarlet Scarab hype is what got me to consider this book, and also the fact I've been enjoing MacKay's Moon Knight run. Rosenberg is doing a great job on colors, too.
Wolverine - I am confused how Ryp was able to manage two books this week, but these things happen. Glancing through the issue makes me understand I am not caught up with what's happening with Black Panther. Not a problem, we'll power through. Interesting here is there's a different colorist on the X-Men book above and the difference is noticeable in a way.
This list was delayed due to Thanksgiving. Next list might not even be until Friday.
Happy readings!

LAST TIME ON GODZILLA VS THE MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS: there was like a whole thing with Rita messing with alternate realities and of course Tommy got his dumb ass involved and somehow that ended up with him fighting with Godzilla. And then a whole bunch of other monsters and kaiju got involved. So now Godzilla and the MMPRs are best friends while Rita got lost in-between realities! Happy ending, right? Well................it's Godzilla vs MMPR II #1!
= that's my boy look at him GOOOOO
= WHAT A MAN WHAT A MAN WHAT A MIGHTY FINE MAN
= I applaud this issue for remembering that Saba fucking talks AS WELL AS remembering Tommy and Saba's dynamic is really cute and funny. Main Series Saba I will avenge you and your adorable sassiness dealing with a stupid wielder
= WHITE RANGER JUMPSCARE
= also the way people have pointed out the speech balloon mix-up in the Bulk and Skull panel and I didn't even notice because my eyes glaze over their scenes kjkjdkfjdk
= so something something Rita really loves grabbing Rangers and shoving them in cages BUT WAIT
= WHO IS THISSSSSS is this a Pink Ranger Aisha or is she an alternate universe Kimberly. Either way I LOVE HERRRRR
= this too is yuri
= but god it's forever surreal that the silly Godzilla/MMPR crossover is using Astronema and the Psycho Rangers more than the main series event with DARK SPECTER
= I mentioned before that they're being coy as to whether or not White Ranger IS Tommy (which is why I'm only referring to him as White Ranger) but liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiike I'm pretty sure he's just meant to be Tommy. And I don't care! Green Ranger Tommy/White Ranger Tommy Predator handshake goes hard as hell and better than the past three years of Green Ranger Matt
= The way this book is set up is very funny to me like. The first series was very a straightforward "MMPRs arrive in Godzilla's world and fight Godzilla and then fight a bunch of other kaiju and then they leave" story but here it's like a Power Rangers story that occasionally has Godzilla show up. I think every story in the main series should have Godzilla show up just for fun
= would.
