Note about Gaza

I will be posting good news (as much good news as there can be in this sort of situation) about the ongoing genocide in Gaza, because one of the most important ways to help is to refuse to be silent. Palestinians in Gaza have asked us to please keep talking about it, that it really does help, so I’m going to listen.

And honestly, my disabilities significantly interfere with my ability to take irl action like going to protests, so using what platform I have here really is all the more important to me. (Though I am also setting a notif on my phone to remind me to call my representatives every few days, and I encourage you to do the same if feasible.)

All that said! It is completely legitimate to need a break from horrific news (a huge part of why I started this blog), and it’s also legitimate to say “I need to find out about this stuff Not from my tumblr dash.”

If news about the war/genocide (esp on social media specifically) is making you spiral and shit, then I genuinely encourage you to filter out these posts. I’m not judging. I have significant filters around what Israel/Palestine stuff I see on here myself, because I want to be very intentional about the times I do engage with it. (Which is every few days and via the Actual News.)

I’m committing to fact-checking this stuff before posting, fyi, even with reblogs.

Omg I just got done arguing with my brother abt the Trial and when I asked him where he got his sources he said "everywhere" like??? Why does this always fucking happen? Every damn time I argue with friends/family about anything I am always the only one who actually read the research. Like idc how much you like this person a tiktok/twitter thread is NOT a source! My sister honest to god told me she doesn't watch the news because she doesn't trust the media😭 and while to an extent that's valid you have to be critical about this! Check WHO you're listening to, their qualifications, and their potential bias. Yeah I'm not going to trust a neoliberal newspaper owned by a billionaires opinion on socialism or billionaires, but I can trust the article citing experts on global warming. I wouldn't trust a tiktoker with any of those things

(you can take personal opinions/accounts on social media into account, like a disabled persons experience/an activists anecdote, but things like this are more-so exceptions and should be coupled with more information as well)

The anti-intellectualism and general lack of critical thinking is so so dangerous and there's real fucking consequences. Millions of people JUST fucking died because of massive misinformation(and general lack of empathy) we just. We can't keep doing this. We cant. Propaganda and misinformation WORKS! Why else would governments and corporations (and as we've just seen, influential individuals) spend millions of dollars on it?

Every time I thing about this case, and how horrifyingly effective Depp's campaign has been, I feel so fucking unsettled because it's not a "in a few years ppl will feel guilty" thing, it's a "lives are being ruined and this is a terrifying case study" thing

I'm the only person I know who knows of the case that supports Amber, I'm also the only one I know who's read articles and not twitter threads about it. People think that when you hear so much of something, it's true. Or they just take things at face value. But you CAN'T do that, you really fucking can't(and when you ask people their sources they get defensive, please for the love of god you can say you don't know enough to have an informed opinion. Social media thinks that strangers are entitled to you're opinion, and that you need to have one but you DON'T. Having an ill-informed opinion is worse than not having one)

I'm just so tired of having these neverending conversations. For YEARS(though obviously there's been issues™ before the mid 2010s, I just wasn't mature enough to follow them all) it's been just hit after hit. Human rights are under fire, the simple act of living is increasingly prohibitively expensive, people lost their damn minds and followed a lying fascist into an attempted coup and it's just continuously another fucking thing. And people can't even read a fucking article before jumping to tell false info abt it

TLDR: everytime someone links "evidence"/souces and my browser pulls up twitter, I lose years off my life

Also using different tools to check at which website they are doing backlinks and off-page Seo. it's important to comprehend your competition, including the keywords they use, the layout of their landing sites, etc. For beginners, setting a daily advertising budget is an excellent alternative. 3. Optimize your website-

Here’s what I think helps speculate which project could blue chip and fly to the moon. I’ll explain this using one of my best examples so far, Arabian Camels. The mint had closed months ago and I hadn’t heard about it or might have missed it with the flurry of PFP projects flooding the space.

So there I was Googling the Melania Trump NFT release headline on CoinTelegraph and the piece came packaged with a couple of other headlines. There was a first-time-in-history story about an NFT project that’s about to disrupt the film industry.

It was something I hadn’t heard of, so it piqued my interest. That’s where the DYOR campaign began, with the power of Google and a pint of curiosity. I was looking for the following:

Community I’ve learnt that community is what drives NFT projects to success. I had to snoop around the Discord. With Arabian Camels, it was just right, is what I felt. The member numbers weren’t through the roof and for me, I see that as something good because at least you get to read the chat without having to hold the scroll bar steady, as in some busy servers. What I liked more was that the engagements were just perfect. There were always members being responsive and engaging pretty much all the time.

Innovative utilty (apart from the hype and fanfare) The next thing was to get on the website and see what was or is brewing for the future. The mint was over and the website was updated but there were still some superb videos on the future of the project.

Opensea profile Then there’s the usual Opensea checks that require a full article to be written on. Some of these factors include if the collection is verified, price performance, floor price changes since mint, rarities and unique properties of the NFTs up for sale. You’ll also have to look around to see if there are listings that fit your budget.

I prefer to keep my pieces short and to the point. I think it’s important since we all have more JPEGs to find, crypto to print or other fiat stuff to do. Cheers!
