It happens not long after they get married.

Harry pinched the sleeve of the shirt Ginny was wearing and said, "this right here... this is my shirt."

Ginny shook her head, "I don't know what you're talking about..."

Harry hummed. Long and low, and Ginny kissed him because that's what Ginny did to get away with things.

"You see right here?" Ginny showed him the name embroidered on the left side of the chest, "see what it says?"

"Potter."

"Yup, that's me. Ginevra Weasley Potter for you."

"Mhm..." he winced, "are you called Harry too? It says Harry Potter on the back..."

Ginny stared at him for a long beat, her lips pursed, as the both of them try not to smile. Finally, with a seriousness that would convince anyone, she blurts out, "Harry's my middle name."

And that did it. It took Harry five full minutes to stop laughing.

lily luna’s abt to be sixteen which is crazy so let’s do some headcanons

• james is her favorite sibling but they are polar opposites. james is careful and a perfectionist while lily is carefree and reckless. it makes them an iconic duo(and honestly makes albus feel left out and forgotten)

• she is the most comfortable being harry potter’s daughter than both james and albus, and she does her best to constantly build up her own and her brother’s confidence. she doesn’t feel the pressure to live up to her family’s expectations as much but sometimes the pressure gets to her.

• she looks sweet and innocent but she is constantly trying to break out of that shell and prove to people that she is not a little baby and she deserves to be treated as an adult.

• she has a crush on scorpius malfoy which she tells James all about but she would never dare to tell Albus.

• she’s a total daddy’s girl and as she grows older as a teenager, her relationship with her mother gets a little more strained than usual but they still love each other no matter what

• lily loves to hang out with her uncle Ron and he tells her stories abt her parents and takes her out for ice cream.

• she has a passion for magical creatures so she also loves to hang out with her uncle charlie.

I won't elaborate Ginny: I can confirm that Draco: Well, once I refused to go home for months because one of my father's peacocks somehow got into my bedroom and woke me up by trying to kill me...I told my father it was either me or the peacock and then ran to the floo to Pansy's house and refused to leave until my father agreed to at least put some wards in my bedroom to avoid that happening again Hermione: Ron: Ginny: Harry: Luna: Blaise: Pansy: Yeah, I can confirm that really happened Hermione: Alright, let's just move on... Luna: Well, my thing was that I used my art materials to dye my dad's hair a really bright purple while he was asleep Ginny: I stole one of the brooms and decided to fly by myself...I fell, but I was okay though, only a broken arm. Blaise: I helped my mother out on something...I won't really elaborate, but it was something crazy Pansy: I kidnapped a fucking baby Kappa and thought my parents wouldn't notice Harry: Well, I killed a basilisk and survived to it biting me because of Fawkes, Dumbledore's phoenix and once I ended up in my Muggle school's roof...Oh, and let's not forget that I killed our DADA professor Hermione: It was self defense, so it doesn't really count, Harry Ron: Yeah, mate Ginny: Don't blame yourself for that, Harry Luna: And I'm pretty sure Gin told me that Ron told her that you told him and Hermione that the old Voldy was possessing your professor Pansy: Blaise: Draco: Draco: Okay, but...Can we focus on the "I killed a basilisk" part? 'Cause that's kinda hot, not gonna lie

So, I know I'm a bit late, but here's my version of Hinny's first 'I love you'.

#1 First I love You

She couldn’t breathe. All the air was knocked out of her when she saw him lying face down on the floor, glasses askew, as they always were, dark hair in disarray, looking as pale as moonlight, but motionless. 

No, he couldn’t be. He was Harry. Her Harry. He would get up now and finish that monster once and for all. He had to.

She was being held up by Ron and she didn’t think she could even stand up without his support as she heard Tom taunting them. 

“Harry Potter is dead.

Ginny woke up with a scream, and sat up in her bed, in a cold sweat, tears running down her cheeks. She looked over at the unoccupied cot, grateful that Hermione was in Australia, so she couldn’t hear her wake up from a nightmare, screaming. ‘But it was real,’ she thought, ‘and he is alive and breathing now.’

She needed some fresh air. 

She threw the covers off her, cursing as they tangled around her even more, and made her way down the creaking stairs, skipping the third one by habit.

She didn’t have a destination in mind but wasn’t surprised when she found herself in front of the tree where she and Harry spent a lot of their time back in the summer before fifth.

But what surprised her was Harry slumped against the base of the tree, his lips slightly parted, glasses still on his face as he slept. ‘He looks so young and so calm while asleep,’ she thought, her heartbeat now returning to its regular rate.

She made her way to him and laid her head on his shoulder, delicately enough not to wake him up, and instantly fell asleep.

Ginny didn’t know how long it had passed since she fell asleep, but it must not have been long as it was still dark outside. 

She blinked blearily and looked up to see emerald green eyes staring at her in adoration. 

“I’m sorry,” he apologized when she caught him staring, “You were asleep and I didn’t want to wake you up.”

She inwardly rolled her eyes fondly. Only Harry would apologize for something like that.

She just snuggled into him more, and he chuckled lightly, wrapping an arm around her waist and pressing his lips into her hairline.

“Want to talk about it?” she asked.

He laid his head on hers. “I’m good now that you’re here.”

“Why didn’t you wake me instead?”

He smiled at her with a look in his eyes that she could only describe as love. “You looked so peaceful, so content, so tiny - ”

“Excuse me?” Ginny laughed, sitting up to look at him.

“You heard me,” Harry said teasingly.

“Tiny. Wow, Harry. If anyone else said that, they would’ve had bats coming out of their nose,” she smiled, leaning back against him, “You’re lucky that I love you.”

She didn’t realize what she had said until she felt Harry’s lips on hers and she immediately responded. 

Harry pulled back and rained kisses all over her face, nipped at her earlobe and trailed down her throat, as she raised her head to give him more access, before he looked into her eyes and said, a bright smile adorning his face, which she was sure was on hers too, “I love you too.”

She wasn’t surprised that this was how it happened. Their first ‘I love you’ was impulsive, unplanned, both under the cover of the night sky to escape nightmares.

But it was them.
