Goodreads Synopsis:
The sweetness of first love…
Could a fiercely independent cop’s heart be stolen by the guy who makes her favorite doughnuts? Will a maid who used deceit to snare a mail-order husband get a dose of her own…
Who needs hell (and brazil, and entire ASEAN country) when you have social media?
"That’s it, you’re going to brazil, NOT!
you’re going to twitter instead”
twitter is always a hellsite, but that rate limit before defines it. It really sucks since I live in a city where there’s no market for weeaboo-style (unless you worship genshin fandom like gesus christpact, even that kind of weeb are niche in my city) so I had to run to online for work. It’s a case where you want to touch grass but the grass doesn’t exist, covered by concrete and only available on the depths of the ocean.
art website kinda tanked left and right, with pixiv and its shit features (when you’re not premium), artstation being infested by AIbros, deviantart fetish palace also tanked since many years ago. And even better, social media also turned into a crap, with twitter meltdowns and facebook shoving contents you don’t wanna see despite you tried your damnedest to curate your timeline
Maybe this will be the comeback of geocities or personal website again? YHVH knows...
It’s hard to find place that can be used to just scroll random aesthetic blogs as ideas for my artwork, and post my artwork in return. Every place seemed to have this shit meltdown all over. It sucks.
tldr : all website goes to hell from social media to portfolio art wbesite, my country is a horrible market for my artwork. And I’m not the uber rich trillionaire in fortune 500. So this is all catch 22 moment for me
thanks for listening to this vent. I don’t think I’d migrate to tumblr 100% but I’ll still post PNGs and run
just got blinded by the true white canvas in procreate when i opened my ipad, gesu christo why is is so BRIGHT RAAAH this is why i always do my digital art on like blue or yellow bg
Back in the early 1890s the residential area near what is now N. 12th st. and W. Wisconsin av. was growing rapidly, and it was decided that the area needed a school to meet the needs of Catholic youth. So, through the efforts of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Johnston, the residence of Dr. Nicholas Senn at 12th and Cedar was purchased in 1892 as an ideal site for the school which was to be called Holy Angels academy. The first floor accommodated a chapel, large study room, music room and two recitation rooms where many a young lady bit her lip or twirled a pigtail as she recited her daily lessons. In the beginning the first grade class was co-educational, Hugo Best, Walter Johnston, Florian Flanner and Alvin Tighe being among the pupils, but from 1893 on only girls have studied there. On the advice of Father J. J. Foley, of Gesu Church, a tuition of $3 a month was charged, quite a sum for those days. The enrollment increased so rapidly that by 1897 the old Senn house was too small and ground was broken for a new building, seen at the left. Until 1922 first through 12th grade students learned their lessons in these buildings, but then it became necessary to limit the enrollment to high school students only. In the summer of 1926, the old Senn house was wrecked to make way for a new building and the art, music, vocal and expression departments took up temporary quarters in the Fuerstein garage next door. Then on Jan. 1, 1928, the present Holy Angels High School building was dedicated. (Picture courtesy of Mrs. Alice E. Fredrick, 2928 W.
