so many of my teammates still all get to play roller derby together. because they didn't move across the country. but i did and i have to swallow that fact because there is no way i am ever moving back there.

There is a huge problem with people in mostly anime fandoms insisting that every single gender nonconfirming and crossdressing character has to be transgender, and thinking otherwise and going by the canon apparently makes you transphobic.
Fine if you want to headcanon the character as transgender, all the power to you. But don't insist that they have to be and call others, including the creators, transphobes for not agreeing. Because yes, cis guys who wear dresses and like makeup do exist and should also get the chance to be represented and have it normalised to dress not according to their assigned gender without having their gender or sexuality questioned by others.

James is... something. At least she seems to know what she is doing when it comes to her job. You think so since all your animals seem to like her, probably even more than you, but you try not to be too salty about it. James will certainly be a tough nut to crack if you decide to pursue a romantic relationship, but perhaps she will reveal a different side of her when you show her your interest.
James enjoys long jogs with her dogs and working out in general, tinkering on her car, camping in the woods and rock concerts. She appreciates people who are not afraid to challenge her and put others fist.
Appearance:
James has pale skin with cool undertones and hooded mocha brown eyes with thick, black eyelashes. Her hair is also dark brown, short, tousled and usually quickly finger combed. She is roughly 194 cm or 6′4″ feet tall and her body is well-built and muscled from years of intense exercise. Her most notable feature is her tattoos that especially her arms and legs are covered in; there’s flowers and different animals (including her two dogs), song lyrics and even a little green alien on her left wrist. Her default expression is frowning.
James has a septum piercing on her nose and a few in her ears and she usually dresses in a ribbed, white tank top and tight jeans, sometimes pairing it with a brown leather jacket and fingerless gloves.

- it is not possible for a human being to queerbait. Only story media companies can do that.
- cishet men are allowed to be gender nonconforming, ffs, and accusations that a man is queerbaiting because he wears eyeliner and a skirt sometimes but hasn’t come out as queer are *incredibly* horrible and obnoxious and missing the entire point of, well, everything frankly. Like, a lot of the time the man in question may actually not be cishet after all but just not want to label himself, or may not be comfortable being fully out. But even if he is actually a cishet man who just wants to present in a gender nonconforming way sometimes, that is actually perfectly fricking reasonable.
- ditto ditto cishet women with more apparently masc presentation.
- no one is every morally obliged to be out. Not. Ever. It being actively a good and affirming thing when celebrities do come out is not the same thing as them doing something wrong when they do not.
- policing who gets to do certain forms of gender presentation without being hassled for it is part of patriarchy. Yes, even if the person doing the policing is queer and/or trans themself. Do not assist the patriarchy; it is doing quite well enough as it is, alas.
- gender nonconfirming cishet people are a delight, frankly, and in their own ways they are eroding rigid gender roles in a way that makes all our lives easier.

Blame @angieanne for getting me riled up on Michael in the discord lol. Now I'm making this public:
You're a quiet and sincere sort that surprisingly becomes an actual friend Michael can dick around with. It started off with the two of you working together a lot, and despite his initial reservations, he likes that he can vibe with you effortlessly. His brashness doesn't get to you, you can laugh off some of his jokes, you stand by him during spats with the others, and... you can actually make him feel better... Before he knows it, you've managed to break through his walls just by your sheer insistance that you have his back, even when you don’t agree with him. It sucks to admit but this means a lot to him...
It gets to a point where he maybe shares a little too much about past issues and he starts to panic because he went on for too long, let it get too real. After a long pause, he gets uncomfortable and starts planning on saying something stupid to get out of it, but you stop him as you lean your head on his shoulder, an arm draped over his other side, and tell him you're grateful you met him. What the hell. You weren't supposed to take it so seriously! This should've been just another thing he could laugh off and move on from! He doesnt fucking know what to do with these warm fucking feelings.
You're too fucking good.
But okay, you're his friend. He's learned to accept it... that's as far as he's allowing it to go. But you're merciless..
During a play-fight, as is usual, he pins you successfully and is expecting some sort of struggle. You always huff at him! But this time, instead, you're stuck looking into his eyes, breathless, and you tell him he's beautiful.

Caster is probably the straightest woman in Fate Stay Night. She keeps trying to go along with her big diabolical plan but keeps having some sort of mental difficulty going through with it because she's simping for some martial artist guy who's name I can't remember. She also forcefems Saber which you'd think would be pretty gay but forcing a gender nonconfirming woman to conform to cisheterosexual values because she seems better that way to her has to count for something. The only person that might be straighter than her is Illya and that might be in part because she has no route to have more moments and by extension gay moments with her beyond getting a bit attached to Saber, and even then one can argue that's in the motherly figure sense like with Hercules being a fatherly figure to her. One could also argue she doesn't have any particular straight moments either depending on how you interpret her attachment to Emiya Shirou, and I'd personally lean towards it being more of a platonic sibling thing so you could argue her being asexual pretty well. Anyway there's a lot of bi women in Fate Stay Night and Type Moon in general lol.

But it literally hurts no one if I feel like drawing Alastor in lingerie, or if I enjoy a tender radioapple scene. As someone primarily touch repulsed, I express most of my sexual desires artistically, and through creative media
Every queer space deals with people representing characters in their own way because finding representation that truly matches how you feel is going to be impossible, and we have to make do with the closest things we get.
In the trans community, with there being hardly any nonbinary representation (don't get me started on the classic Girl Lite™), non-binary folks often have to make headcanons involving binary trans/gender nonconfirmative characters being their flavour of non-binary. And that's ok. Neither of us get much good representation and thus we've shared, because binary trans often have to do the same thing and headcanon cis characters as trans.
There's nothing wrong with changing the canon a bit for yourself to feel more connected to the characters you love
