After finishing Illuminae I went directly to its sequel Gemina- and I am going to pick Obsidio like right now.
This book picks up like right after where Illuminae finished. It’s once again told through transcripts, journal entries, chat logs, etc.
It took about 100 pages or so to get into this one even though I was really excited to start it. I found that while the first book is non-stop this one isn’t like that. It seemed to slow down a ton. I did enjoy it and I found it interesting and captivating. I don’t think I’d say it ‘Second Book Syndrome’ because it didn’t feel like that it just felt slow. I did enjoy Nik as a new character, but didn’t really like Hanna as much.
Can’t wait to start Obsidio and try to find Momento in a book store around me.
