JC: You know. Hey! In a Gelson's I saw DeForest Kelly, I did the same thing. I went, "There's fucking DeForest Kelley! One of my favorites! Man there he is!" But I'm not going to walk up to him, and uh. I think at that point I had done maybe one or two Deep Space Nines. What am I gonna, "Hi, uh, err, M-Mr. Kelley. You know I'm on Star Trek, too!"

[laughter]

JC: It just seemed so, like, no.

MODERATOR 3: I have sort of an esoteric question.

JC: Okay.

M3: This is going back to, you know. When you watch the original shows, are there any characters that you would have wanted to play? Whether regular characters or, you know, guest stars.

JC: That's really a good question. Like, who do I relate to?

M3: Yeah.

JC: In those shows?

M3: Who do you think you, who do you think you could have--

JC: Who would I have been cast in? Well, I shudder at that idea because I don't know if I would have been cast with any of them. But maybe Bones.

M1: Yeah

JC: Maybe. And I have to tell you, I sort of had an opportunity to sort of exude that kind of demeanor when years later I was a series regular on Transformers Prime. Because I played Ratchet, and Ratchet was the medic, and he was irascible but lovable.

M3: Yeah

JC: And that, and I think that's how I got the job. Because I didn't really know anything about Transformers when I auditioned for it. Okay, I didn't. But I made a choice, it was very, very DeForest Kelley. And it's kind of irritated but lovable, and you know he cared, but he had an edge. So in a way--

M3: He's gonna save your life but he's not going to be happy about it

MODERATOR 2: America's space dad

JC: And he can be annoyed with your bothering him, but he's also, you know, kind of happy that you're paying attention to him. You know this kind of duality that great characters have.

Sorry for disappearing! College has been kicking my ass and I've been working on another cosplay. Introducing @themilkiemooth 's Cult of the Lamb AU, Cove! I recently wore it to Galaxycon Richmond this past weekend. Had a lot of fun and got quite a bit of recognition! I didn't fully finish it, but I'll post the fully finished look when that's finished. I did both the simpler outfit and the fancier one.

So, I sadly did not get into Galaxycon Raleigh. 😭 I'm on the waitlist, so there's a very slim chance I could get in later?? We'll see! (I was really hoping to meet you darlings out in NC! 😭) Thank goodness got into Galaxycon San Jose so I can still have my chance to meet Con/Vico/Nathan!! 🖤😭🖤😭🖤

As a passionate Zim fan for many years, this was such a stunning experience!! Being surrounded by fellow fans, getting to meet the people behind my favorite thing EVER, all the hilarious, chill panels, I'd give an arm and a lung to do it all over again!

Meeting the Zim crew especially was so fun!! Richard, Rikki, Melissa, Eric, and ESPECIALLY Jhonen, you were all super amazing!! I thank you all for the art compliments, the voice recordings, the photos, and/or writing advice depending on who you are!

After a string of horrifying hard drive failure and all around bad luck, I needed this lovely boost in motivation and I can't thank the crew of Galaxycon enough for it!!

Question:  On any set or any production, stage, screen, or otherwise, what's the single craziest day you've ever had on any set. David's Answer: What a very difficult question to answer. Doctor Who is a kind of conveyor belt of extraordinary moments. Because every day is completely different, and every day has a new, exciting thing about it.  And then you go away for 15 years and you come back and think, "Well, it's not going to be the same again," and it's equally joyous. Good Omens was similar in that each day there'd be another kind of bonkers thing that happened.  Whether you were going to a different time period, which again, the similarities to Doctor Who.  In Good Omens we'd often visit them for one scene, so on one day we'd be in Shakespeare's Globe dressed up, with the tiniest beard ever known and the tiniest sunglasses.  And then the next day you'd be on a machine being whirled around in space.  All of that stuff is very exciting.

Q:. I was wondering if there was a moment from filming [Good Omens] that really stood out to you.

David: Oh, oh I mean, so many. I think the most exciting moment for that was probably the read-through. Because when we first all sat down in a room together and read the scripts together and... Michael Sheen is someone I'd known - a bit - [audience cheering], oh don't cheer him, do not encourage him, honestly, don't tell him we had this conversation - but we kind of been in a film together, but never had a scene together, we'd never really worked together. We'd known each other, but we didn't have any sort of... before the read through, we didn't have any get togethers or nobody discussed anything. We just sort of... So that was the first time we sat and read the script out loud together in a room with everyone else. And that was probably at that point you're going to go, 'Oh, this is going to be all right. I think we're going to have... I think this is going to be quite good fun.' Which, indeed, for now, for over two series, it has proved to be exactly that. So that moment was probably the most significant because it led me to believe that what was about to follow was going to be indeed what it was, which is a wonderful, exciting experience. And I can't wait for you to see Series 2.
