What’s going on in project sekai. You make it looks so interesting!
oh uhhhh well. before you get your hopes up some of the stuff i drew is just edgy aus i made with a friend theres no blood or magical girl stuff its mostly just teenager drama. but anyway heres the deal
(disclaimer it is a mobile gacha game and those are predatory and addictive etc so yknow uh. use caution. imo though its extremely playable without having to pay any extra money)
project sekai/colorful stage is a vocaloid rhythm game where you unlock visual novel style stories about five different teen music groups who work through various problems and issues.... and also hatsune miku and her friends are there to mentor them. its got tons of vocaloid songs to play through, most with covers by the voice actors of the cast if you so choose, as well as a lot of songs made for the game, and even if you dont read the story stuff its just a really fun rhythm game. i play it basically every day lol
the groups are as follows:
-leo/need is four estranged childhood friends who desperately want to be together again but have to work through their highschool drama first, through starting a rock band
-(i havent actually read through more more jump or vivid bad squad so i cant give a good summary but theyre an idol group and street musicians respectively)
-wonderlandsxshowtime is a ragtag little group of clowns attempting to revive an old themepark stage and become famous as a theater troupe, with lots of goofs and hijinks
(suicide tw incoming)
-nightcord at 25:00 is my favorite group and the one ive done the most art for, theyre the only ones who are already an established band at the beginning of their story and theyre actually doing pretty well in terms of making music and gaining popularity, the issue is theyre all suicidal and have massive psychological problems. the main story focuses mostly on when one of the girls decides to, yknow, "disappear", and the others have to come together to try and save her. as you can probably tell theyre the group with the darkest story by far but also the best in my opinion. theyre so fucked up and i love them. also one of the members is (canonically) transfem nb so thats cool
so if any of that sounds interesting, give it a shot i guess?? i feel weird encouraging my follower base to play a gacha game lol so just be mindful. i started playing it just bc its a vocaloid rhythm game and im not good at project diva and i didnt really expect to get invested in the new characters but here i am. its also introduced me to a lot of voca songs i didnt know before which is always a plus!

I'm sorry what the fuck happened to him? Husband who hurt you? Who must I kill? I'm so curious.
I want him. I really want him. But I have 20 pulls and a pity of 59 (as in I need 59 more for a guarantee). I'm shattered. I need a fucking miracle to get him.
Tbh I expected the next limited card to be Zayne bcs I looked at the full list and Raf and Xav both have like, singular limited cards while Zayne doesn't but fuck me the devs really know what they're doing.

Since you write for Twst, I assume you play the game as well. In that case, I have a slightly silly question I guess. If you could pick any unused hometown for an event, whose hometown would you want to see and why?
Not a silly question! I really like the hometown events. I was actually thinking about them just this morning. As a fish simp I would like to see an event set in the Coral Sea just because, but I sort of doubt the logistics of that happening. Floyd seems like the only one up for inviting us and tbh it does not sound like much of a tourist destination.
If I had to really pick though it would be a toss between Sam and Jack. The Princess and the Frog is such an underrated movie and I really love jazz music, and hometown events always give us such good twst tunes. Maybe there could be a cooking competition or something and he recruits us to help run a booth! As for Jack, I kind of want to see twst's take on Beauty and the Beast outside of Vargas and those mirrors that didn't work in endless Halloween. And I want to see some more moments between him and Yuu because I want more material to work with his stans deserve it. Give their fluffy boi an SSR he deserves it ( •̀ ᄇ• ́)ﻭ✧

A3! Minagi Tsuzuru - Translation [SR] Festival of Blooming (1/2)
*Please read disclaimer on blog
---
Tsuzuru: (Me acting as Masumi… huh…)
*Sigh*…
Friend A: What’s with the sigh? Is something bugging you?
Friend B: Are you stuck on a script?
Tsuzuru: Nah, it’s just… well, you aren’t wrong.
(Acting as Masumi is going to be a tough task in more ways than one…)
(You think of Director when you say Masumi, huh?)
(I mean, I can imitate him a little if I try hard enough. But actually acting as him is a high hurdle…)
(I’m an actor though.
I’ve played roles that are far removed from myself before.)
(Let’s imagine for a second…)
*imagination starts*
Tsuzuru: Director… I like you.
Marry me.
If it’s for you, I can do my best.
I love you.
*imagination ends*
Tsuzuru: God, help me~…
Friend A: Hey, you okay there, bud?
-pause-
Chikage: Thank you for waiting.
Tsuzuru: Sorry, I know you’re busy and all.
Chikage: Don’t worry about it.
You said you wanted me to teach you magic?
Is this for work or something?
Tsuzuru: No… it’s about that assignment we got from Director and Yukio-san. I have to act as Masumi.
Chikage: Oh, yes. The one where we’re supposed to play our roommates?
Tsuzuru: Whenever I think about how I should go about playing Masumi, the way he expresses his feelings straight to Director comes to mind…
I think that’s Masumi’s character, for better or for worse.
Although… he’s calmed down quite a bit these days.
Chikage: That’s true.
Tsuzuru: So, I thought I’d act as Masumi when he interacts with Director…
But it’d be a bit tough acting like that on stage, let alone in front of the guy himself.
That being said, I thought if I put some effort in, I could show how Masumi works to hard to show magic tricks to Director…
Chikage: Is that why you asked me for a favour?
Tsuzuru: You’re Masumi’s magic teacher, after all.
Chikage: If that’s how it is, I’ll help you.
Tsuzuru: Thank you very much!
-pause-
Tsuzuru: I-I think I got it…
Chikage: Now all you need is practise.
That trick I just showed you was one of the very first ones I taught Masumi.
Tsuzuru: You mean during our Oz play?
Chikage: Before I joined the company, I only knew how Masumi was on stage. It was a little surprising and unexpected when I saw how he was towards Director.
I got the strong impression that Masumi was a skillful and cool young man.
Of course, I wasn’t mistaken about that Masumi either. Both are different aspects of Masumi.
Tsuzuru: —.
I thought I knew that, but when it comes to Masumi, how he keeps confessing to Director isn’t all there is to him…
Chikage: …Why don’t you think it over some more?
If it’s you, then I’m sure you know a Masumi that you can play best.
Tsuzuru: I think you’re right. I’ll give it some thought!
Chikage: Since we’re here, I’ll give this sponge to you.
You might be able to find some use for it.
Tsuzuru: Thank you.
