Just bein biffles, shootin the kage shit. About once a month or so Naruto buys Gaara a boba tea and shows up at his office. Gaara isn’t a fan of sweets, so he gets him the black tea with plain boba. Naruto goes for the fruity drink of the day. Today’s was pink guava with mango popping boba.

Any time I see any gaalee, I sorta think like; Gaara cripples Rock Lee then they reconcile after the Kimimaro fight and they're supposed to just move on, but:

"How does Gaara handle this kind of thing? How does Rock Lee handle this?"

How do you go about this kinda traumatic incident? Gaara feels horribly guilty now that he's healing and learning. Rock Lee persevering through his injuries and accepting Gaara into his life. They're both learning and adapting to make the most of their lives. Every now and then, Gaara's guilt presents itself as a panic attack, and Rock Lee handles this by soothing him. Considering that Rock Lee is the one who actually went through this trauma, I wonder how he handles it.

I'm sure in this au there is ✨️ninja therapy✨️

Itachi's genin team is three misfits with no or good-as-no parents, who need someone who understands what that's like. He also petitioned for Konoha to adopt and rehab Gaara. No idea how they made Suna give up their jinchuuriki, but. Wouldn't put it past Itachi fucking Uchiha to just kidnap him like I kidnapped abused animals LMAO

Little Gaara got a bit overzealous during the bell test, but Itachi's sharingan allowed him to jump in quickly enough.

He didn't get Sasuke, because a genin team is no place to accidentally play favourites.
