#personal#OHHHH I FUCKED UP#i fucked up so hard#disinfectant spray got on my violin#and by the time i noticed the varnish was already FUCKED#my heart actually like dropped to the floor when i saw all these WHITE SPOTS ON MY VIOLIN#i wiped off one shoulder in time#but the rest. is absolutely fucked#the spray is dried now but it’s made the varnish all tacky#and the varnish was coming off as i was wiping so i just had to stop before i made things worse#fuuuuuuck#fuck fuck fuck fuck#this is looking like a very very expensive and time-consuming problem#it smells like a whole can of disinfectant spray#I’m trying to air it out rn but somehow i feel like the smell is gonna stay there until i get it fixed#what do i even do#this is like the number 1 rule of what NOT to do with a violin#is getting CHEMICALS ON IT#fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck#do i even have enough time/money to bring it into a luthier#how am i supposed to teach violin WITHOUT my violin#idk how long it would take for this to get fixed#i dont even know if the sound has changed#SURELY not……. surely not…. right?#it sounds okay when i pluck it#but it’s 10pm so unless i want noise complaints at my door. i can’t test it out#fuck! fuck and shit#what do i even tell my boss#my students are gonna be like what happened to your violin#what happened was an idiot (me) got hubris about sanitising the space without packing up the very expensive instrument first

Alternatively I will get on birth control to stop me from further going into puberty while I search for a place to give me hrt bc I swear if I don't transition
