my brother had an interesting note on the fairy-walrus conundrum, in that his thoughts upon finding a walrus at his door wouldn't be "how and why did this walrus travel halfway across the earth to my doorstep of its own volition", but instead would be "who the hell is pranking me on purpose and how tf did they get the aquarium to agree to this"
i'd hate to say anything on the side of team fairy, but it would make the walrus a slightly less surprising find

What if I dropped you deep into trance. And I took that word or phrase you say all the time. And I turned it into a trigger, with safeties of course, that sent a small pulse of pleasure through you. An reminds you how corrupted you are. So every time you say that word or phrase.
You felt that pulse of pleasure run through you and remind you of how much you've given in to the pleasure. Would you like that? Would you find any excuse you could to say that word or phrase more and more? Umm, what would you do?
Hi, this horny post is brought to you by the time a friend threatened to turn a phrase I said all the time around them into a trigger of some kind. Hope you enjoyed 😊
(I still need to write the story I had around this concept)

Assassin’s Creed and The Mandalorian
The Mandalo originate from the Brotherhood. Centuries after the humans discover light speed, a large portion of the Brotherhood is tasked with liberating a mining planet from Templars(? Cannot be empire yet). Then they make like Alexander the Great and have some people “marry into” the Mandalorian’s people, who are very chill about it. The Brotherhood sets up a base there and helps the planet’s inhabitants become more militarian. A millennium or so later, after Earth (or what ever the Star Wars name was) is exploded in to smithereens, The Mandalorian and The Child come across and ancient artifact (The Apple) which either brings them back through time to Altaïr and/or let’s them see the origins of Earth’s civilization and the Brotherhood (which also includes the Mandalorians) - Nov. 16, 2020, 1:22 am, recently watched the newest episode of The Mandalorian and I am in the middle of the Altaïr painting.
I came up with idea years ago, it’s not the best but when I thought of it I was so proud. So for younger men’s sake, I’d thought I’d release it to the world.

do you think that when he was standing in front of his grave and stuttering and pleading for his life thinking lalo had come back, that saul's brain was really focused on a single thought "oh god. did they get to kim too"

it just occurred to me on a rewatch of lilo and stitch that the moment where jumba and stitch are tossing the gun back and forth, jumba says "happy birthday" okay, all well and good, aliens would have birthdays,
but then stitch says "merry christmas" and "happy hanukkah", meaning their had to be a moment not seen where stitch was taught/read about the different holidays of earth.
and additionally, jumba's acknowledgement of those holidays mean that pleakley must have done the same, because i cant imagine he would have researched that himself. just found it a funny set of circumstances that probably happened in universe.

If I worked at the Federal Bureau of Control, I would be one of three things:
a ranger who goes off to explore active thresholds and possibly the astral plane.
a researcher in parapsychology, specializing in the Hypnosis lab and analyzing the brainwaves of astral divers.
a scientist in the ritual division, specializing in synchronicity and performing experiments on seemingly connected, but unrelated events.
Also, I would absolutely be producing in house, internal video content for FBC staff...possibly on a certain, altered film camera ;)

Today in Peter Pan-related thoughts—
I watched Blayne Weaver's first movie the other day, The Flood: Who Will Save Our Children? He was amazing in it & so adorable too. His voice basically sounds the same as in Return to Never Land! There's a part where his character is stuck in a tree with a girl & he's trying to protect & console her, & while I'm watching it I'm thinking, "This girl is safer than anyone else in this movie, she's with Peter Pan!" You can watch it on YouTube.
Also, it's really cool that They Might Be Giants wrote & composed 'So To Be One of Us'. They captured the fun & chaos of the Lost Boys so well with that song. Who knew?!

Thinking about a boy who's super duper skinny eating a lot of food and you can just see the shape of his stomach through his thin skin, undulating as it digests, his belly's gurgles loud and clear...
If you squeeze it, he whimpers as the organ squishes under your fingertips like a bag full taut with orbeez.

I've always thought that in the scene where the young academy is running around getting ready for a mission )where Grace helps Diego with his stutter) and Viktor is playing the violin, he was playing it to tune out the sound of the mission alarm, the noise which he would've associated with being left behind

People against piracy fail to realize that no, I can’t just ‘buy it.’ They stopped making DVDs and Blu-Rays. They’re barely offering digital copies for download. I am not spending money I could use for food or bills to pay for a subscription service just so I can always have access to a beloved piece of media. Especially not when the service will remove media on a whim without concern for how the loss of access to that piece will make its artistic conservation nigh impossible.
For example, I recently learned that Disney+ had an original film called Crater. It’s scifi, family friendly, and seems cool - I would love to buy it as a holiday gift for my little brother! But: it’s exclusive to D+ and THEY REMOVED IT LITERALLY MONTHS AFTER ITS RELEASE.
The ONLY way I can directly access this film is through piracy. The ONLY available ‘copies’ of this film are hosted on piracy websites. Disney will NEVER release it in theaters, or as something to buy, and it may NEVER return to the streaming service. It will be LOST because we aren’t allowed to purchase it for personal viewing. If I can’t pay to own it, I won’t pay for the privilege of losing it when corporate decides to put it in a vault.
So yes, I’m going to pirate and support piracy.
