You can say whatever you want about Netflix The Witcher, but the Fringilla/Cahir dynamic is still unmatched imo
I mean… Cahir himself is already such an interesting character. Going from „total evil“ (season 1) to the viewer slowing realizing that he is also just a replaceable chess figure in a much much greater game. And he is slowly chattering under the expectations him and his master put on him. And - no matter how much evil stuff he does - you slowly start to feel sorry for him. Because you know it will end bad for him, there isn’t happiness but you still wish… there could be somehow
But with Fringilla in there, it gets even better. At the beginning she mirrors Cahir, but she manages to save herself, to live for herself. She shows Cahir what could be. And they have this weird dysfunctional relationship, is it romantic, is it platonic? Whatever, it is doomed. But they still need each other.
