FREE AUDIOBOOK ALERT.
Yep, I absolutely mean it. I've put the audio version of this sweet Regency holiday romance novella - originally published in the Weird and Wonderful romance anthology - up on Youtube for ABSOLUTELY FREE.
Obviously, the catch is that I'm trying to get monetized, but I need 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours listened to for that, so please... click that subscribe button and maybe leave it playing in the background? Pretty pretty please? There'll be more free audiobooks coming soon, promise! I know my biggest fan Holly Mop is already enjoying her storytime...

Audiobook read by Angela Bassett
youtube
The time has come. I have finally bought When Death Comes Stealing on cassette and digitized it for everyone to listen to on youtube :)
Angela Bassett recorded this abridged audiobook written by Valerie Wilson Wesley in 1994 and it seems a digital version of it is nowhere to be found online so I took matters into my own hands :) enjoy!

I was looking at my own AO3 profile the other day and saw I hadn't published anything since 2021. That made me really sad, even if it's a result of working hard at my voice acting career.
What? You're a VOICE ACTOR? I am! Guess what!
I narrate a series called University of Sorcery, a really fun, fast paced, intriguing magical school series that focuses on characters with disabilities. I co-narrate the series as Emma, a sexy fae sorceress who has Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVID) and saves the world anyway. Wow does that sound interesting but you don't have money to invest in a series right now? GUESS WHAT! IT'S FREE ON YOUTUBE!
youtube
Yes that is the ENTIRE SERIES! And also, this series is part of a larger collective of series called Hidden Legends that crossover! Anyway you should listen. Disabled heroines 5eva

The Science of Hypnotism Audiobook Parts 1 & 2
youtube
youtube
Part 1 has the Preface and Table of Contents, and Part 2 has Chapter 1 in its entirety. There'll be about 15 more videos in this series, it'll be the complete book. The book is from 1899 and reads like it's from 1999 in a lot of ways.
I'm using a new microphone now and everything sounds a lot better! If you're a Patreon supporter you may have already heard these chapters a few weeks back, when I was still using the old mic. Expect a chapter or two a week until the book is done!

You Need a Library Card
This is not an ad. Have you ever heard of the Libby app? You can take your library card and it will let you rent ebooks and audiobooks ON YOUR PHONE from your library.
I just tried this and my library has 18 THOUSAND audiobooks and 71 thousand ebooks. And sure, not as many as Audible, but it's all free, baby!
And you can use it on Kindle, if you have one of those.

Yep. I'm posting my audiobook again. It's even reposted on YouTube for one last time. It'll likely bomb out, but at least I can't say I failed for not trying.
This audiobook is one long experiment based on an online dumpster dive. I didn't like most of what I found there, so I decided to try my own hand at to see if I had talent enough to turn what most people make into a plot stinker into a good story. That's it. Period. This was never meant to be fetish fuel. So, get your minds out of the gutter for this one. Mine wasn't when I was writing this story. One person told me that this was a wholesome movie and that was a long time ago. Deeply appreciated though. Even now.
I had fun trying. I wish my books sold more than they do. But they don't. I think I made less than one dollar all year from my sales. And that was a surprise.
I'm having a rough month, so earning myself some honest feedback could cheer me up. So, please, give it a real chance!

TIME FOR ANOTHER FREE AUDIOBOOK, FRENS!
I love this book. It came about entirely because of someone on Twitter asking for recs for 'reverse kidnapping' historical romances... where the heroine kidnaps the hero. The whole of Romancelandia could only come up with a handful of titles.
So I wrote one!

[Free Audiobooks] The Keeper of the Night by Kylie Lee Baker & Out of the Blue by Jason June [YA Myth-Inspired Historical Fantasy & YA LGBTQ+ Contemporary Paranormal Romance]
The annual SYNC Summer of Listening program encouraging literacy among teens by giving away a themed weekly pair of audiobooks—1 modern or non-fiction, 1 classic or drama—returns for another year, courtesy of sponsor AudioFile Magazine and participating publishers.
This 4th week's theme is “Magical Creatures”, exploring the mixing of cultures and weight of heritage in a fantastic setting, available from Thursday May 18th through Wednesday May 24th:
The Keeper of the Night by Kylie Lee Baker, read by Rebecca Yao from Dreamscape. This is the 1st in eponymous duology of mythology-inspired YA historical fantasy set in the 1890s, starring a girl of mixed British and Japanese heritage who is also half Reaper and half shinigami, who is driven from her soul collecting duties in London away to Japan, where she must enter the underworld and prove herself worthy to serve the Goddess of Death.
Out of the Blue by Jason June, read by André Santana & Neo Cihi from Harper Audio. This is a standalone LGBTQ+ YA contemporary paranormal/fantasy romance, co-starring a non-binary merperson who must undergo the customary journey to experience life as a human in disguise for a month to decide whether or not they can commit to mer adulthood, and the human lifeguard who strikes up a fake dating deal with them to try to win back his ex-boyfriend, as you do.
The freebies are available via Overdrive's Sora service (listenable via browser on their website, or via their mobile app for iOS & Android devices).
To claim them, you'll need to register on the SYNC website with a valid email address to use in a Sora account, using the setup code and directions in the instructions in SYNC's FAQ (no need to re-register if you've participated in previous years' giveaways), clicking “Borrow” to add them to your Sora library as a permanent loan. NB: if you need to free up space on your device later, follow the instructions in the FAQ to only “delete files” and DO NOT “Return” the title, which would remove your future access.
Offered worldwide through Wednesday May 24th until just before midnight Eastern Time, available via the Sora website and app. You can also browse AudioFile Magazine's planned season list to see what will be offered in the weeks ahead and if there's anything you'd especially like to get.
