Good morning beautiful friend! Let me tell you, I went through and read every. single. thing. on your master list over the last week or so, and holy guacamole am I obsessed! You write so eloquently ❤️ All of these amazing writers (your lovely self included of course) inspired me to start posting my own writing. I wanted to ask if you had any tips on getting started? Where do I start? What's the best way to get my work viewed, what's the best way to tag stuff? Any other tips? I have some projects I've been working on, but I wanted to ask a few people for some tips before I posted anything. I'll appreciate anything you have to offer. In terms of getting started, here’s some general advice:
Write the stories you want to write. I’ve said this before but I cannot emphasize it enough. I’ve seen so many writer’s get burnt out by chasing trends and changing tastes of their followers, and as a result neglect the stories that are important to them. The best works are the ones that come straight from your heart, and your own personal passions. Ignore fandom trends and stay true to your own inspirations.
Curate your own space. This means creating a blog for your writing, figuring out what you do and do not want on it, who you do and do not want to engage with, and making sure these boundaries are clear to others. A great way to do this is through an FAQ or about post. I have mine linked in my masterlist if you’d like to take a look.
Additionally- find other authors and writers you enjoy, and try to make friends! It helps to have someone to share hobbies and ideas with. Whenever I’m running short of inspiration, I often approach my other writer friends to run an idea by them, and it is extremely helpful. Finding your own community is key.
Tag appropriately. Know common triggers, and be open to folks asking you to tag stuff you perhaps forgot to mention. Some common stuff includes sexual assault, noncon, major character death, specific traumas, self harm, etc. This helps folks filter the stuff they do not wish to see from you.
Use readmore/keep reading. I try to keep my posts pretty short, giving the tags, warnings, summary, header, and a brief intro to the piece. It’s common courtesy to shorten long posts to avoid making others scroll past over 500 words. (I often dismiss fics if they break this rule, and I’m certain others do the same)
Know what to tag and not tag to get your works seen. One thing I’ve noticed about he x reader side of fandoms is that they will spam the main tags, when a lot of folks are not looking for x reader fics. I’ve stopped posting any x reader content in the mw2/cod mw2/modern warfare/mwII tags, or if I do I always include an ‘x reader’ disclaimer so folks can filter it out
Also, in terms of tags, tag only the characters included in your writing. It doesn’t happen often, but I do see folks making a fic and then tagging it as every character under the sun to get it seen. Do not do this. It is spam.
That being said, there’s a bunch of ways to get your works seen. Taking up ideas from other folks (with permission) about headcanons, participating in writing challenges (@glitterypirateduck has a FANTASTIC few writing challenges, and more to come from what I can tell) and simply tagging your works so folks can find them is a great way to get started. Also, feel free to open requests as well. I find a lot of inspiration in folks coming to me with ideas they’d like to see written.
It helps to make your works visually attractive. I spend a lot of time on headers and creating banners for my works. It’s a lot of fun! It also helps you develop a good eye for visual design, which is a useful skill in general. If you are making banners, remember to request permission from artists if you are to use their art in your designs, and respect their wishes if they say no. Also, don’t just find art from Pinterest and include it. Try to find the source and ask there.
Finally, have fun! Writing fic shouldn’t be an obligation, it should be a joy and a gift. If you aren’t having fun, what’s the point?

I might come out with some writing tips I’ve found helpful for my own particular style, as well as a guide to some common writing tools/programs/resources I currently use, and have used in the past. The Wayhaven Chronicles—Update 05/August/2022
Oh, it was SO good to catch up on a ton of stuff this week!
Writing is obviously my favourite, but it does feel like a weight lifted to have so many tasks checked off that had been building up.
Hosted Games got my email about the save system, so I'm really hoping that'll be added in soon! They started processing the graphics ready for the Steam wishlist, but I totally forgot they would need the text assets (blurb, different tag lines, etc) as well! So I'll work on that next week to send over to them.
Managed to get a bunch of 'tidying' done, things like all the millions of scribbled notes everywhere that are now properly documented so I don't lose them. Especially as I decided to change one of side characters major branches completely (because why not this late into the story, right? Hehe! :D), and I wrote down how I want that to go instead...but then panicked when I couldn't find it! But that's typed up and filed away ready to start in a later chapter for this book...
Editing is also going well. I wanted to make sure I remembered to add in the edits people have noted with bugs and things from the demo that I've been collecting up as they've come in, as well as beginning on Chapter 9 edits.
Then it was also social media days this week! Patreon content was major fun this month! I'm starting a new series of Unseen Scenes, where it's the love interest's point of view during the moment in Chapter 6, Book Three where the MC manages to shove the Anunnaki away after Sin has just blasted the LI back!
And there's also the scene for Rebecca and Rook's wedding going up, which one of my patron's requested as their scenario and super kindly let me share it with patrons because I loved how it came out so much!
Tumblr asks were quite lore heavy this month, which was really fun to dive into! Though I totally forgot to schedule them for this week after finishing them *face palm* So Nai is going through and scheduling those ready to start up as usual next week and putting the ones I forgot about into those as well so as they're not missed.
(Also loved all the messages I got about the new Persuasion adaptation, hehe! ;D)
I have to say though I had so many AMAZING messages from people saying how much Wayhaven offers them and how much it means to them. So thank you SO incredibly much to all of you who have taken the time to write those. I can't tell you how much it means to me, not just a creator but personally, to know Wayhaven can be as special to you as it is to me! It's difficult to really express just how much as words through a screen just seem like words, but I truly, truly mean it <3 <3 <3
Wow, this is already a super long update!
Next week I will be starting on Chapter 17!! The start of the endings! This checkpoint also means some other things have to start beginning too: getting edited chapters to sensitivity readers to start on, ramping up my own editing on chapters for SpunkyCat so she doesn't have an influx at the end, and actually starting to think about marketing and things for when the game is coming up to release! Obviously it's still a while away yet, but I am so on schedule for when it's to be out, so I don't want other things to fall behind and hold it up!
So exciting to reach this point!!

Hi, hi! Just wanted to come by and let you know how much I love your stories! I read a lot of them when I didn't have a dedicated exo blog so I definitely need to go back and reblog a bunch of them.
But I just wanted to compliment you on how your stories make the monsters feel so real! I love that we get to see them stumble and fuck up as much as a human ocassionally would, and how it takes work on both parties to make the relationship work. I love the sweet and the defensive and the walls that slowly crumble. I love the conflicts and the resolutions. Some of my favorite stories are Alexei's, Bosede's, Drigka's, and Rolgun's (and of course, I adore all the stories from Declan's clan). I love the way you write and I hope that you know I always think back to the great times I've had reading your monster romances <3

Thank you for saying so! I've always maintained that I like to tell real stories through the lens of monster fiction. It's easier for me to visualize real flaws and true situations if I'm framing it within the context of fantasy and whimsy. I've always wanted my stories to feel real and relatable and for people to see themselves in the characters, even if the characters aren't human. I also always write happy endings, but everything leading to the happy ending isn't always happy, and those are the most interesting stories, in my opinion.
Yeah, tumblr sort of killed it's primary audience years ago, so people have been slowly filtering out over time, which is sort of a natural thing on the internet. Thankfully, tumblr hasn't yet gone the way of MySpace or VampireFreaks yet, and still has millions of active users, but it can be hard to find the things you're looking for because of the censorship implemented when tumblr was bought. That was the impetus for me deciding to make the Creator's list, because it was SO HARD to find everyone after the new censorship rules rolled out. I'm still accepting submissions to be added to the list, for those who are wondering.

Thanks for asking!! Mine aren’t currently open, I am hoping to open them soon but I don’t have a timeline on that currently 😅

And a commissioning guide of sorts, under the cut!
1. Decide what you want to commission! A character, an oc, what they’re doing, if it’s from a fic, etc. a lot of artists like when you can provide a reference, especially for an oc. If it’s for a fic, include the excerpt that you want the image to depict and any other relevant details.
2. Pick a price range. Depending on what you’re willing to spend, some artists will be available and some won’t. You want to know your max price before reaching out to an artist. Usually artists will have their prices listed on their blog and you can include or exclude based on that. If they’re not listed, send a dm!
3. Payment! Most artists take PayPal, but make sure to check. Some people take payment up front, some after completion, or something in between. I personally take full payment up front.
4. If an artist accepts your commission(they may not), there will be some back and forth about the details of the work, so the artist can get a clearer picture of what you want. Just chatting about your idea n all that. Some artists will tell you a time frame(I give an estimate based on the piece), but some don’t and it is okay to decline work with an artist based on the lack of stated time frame if you like.
5. Progress updates, which most artists will send out at an in between stage such as sketch, flat colors, etc. if they don’t tell you how they do updates, you can ask. When you get an update, most artists will allow a few changes, but can’t redraw too much without an extra fee. Another thing to ask your artist about their policies if needed.
6. Final piece, when I deliver I personally usually ask people whether they want to post it or if they’d like me to. Both can happen. At this point you can use it for any stated purpose— icons, fics, etc— but make sure to give credit!

Pairing: OC Talia x Commander Wolffe
Series Summary: Talia joins the Wolfpack as their new medic. Wolffe doesn't understand why everyone likes her. What happens when opposites attract? Sparks will fly between two people who didn't know they needed each other

Chapter summary: Wolffe makes his appearance 🐺
Chapter 2
“We don’t have time”. “The air is getting a bit stale, sir.” “We’re just clones.” “No one is coming for us.” “We’re expendable.” Wolffe woke up from the nightmare he was having and for a moment forgot where he was before he realized he was in his new quarters. He was safe. Safe and alive. Wolffe quickly got up and sat on the edge of the bed as he caught his breath. Every time he had the same dream Wolffe tried his best to not let it affect him. He was the commander of the 104th. He had to stay strong for his men so he buried his feelings but when he was alone Wolffe lived through that day over and over again. The memory and trauma of losing most of his entire battalion will stick with him for the rest of his life. Wolffe ran a hand over his face and through his hair before standing up to put the armor he took off back on. As he was finishing up there was a bang on his door and a voice screaming at him from the other side. “Wolffe, wake up!” Wolffe rolled his eyes as he went over and opened the door. Boost and Sinker were on the other side waiting for him and he scowled at them. “The kriff you want?” “Just wanted to make sure you were up”, Sinker says. Wolffe adjusted his belt and walked out with Boost and Sinker following behind him. “Well I’m up.” Sinker and Boost looked at one another but didn’t say anything as they continued to follow Wolffe to the command center. “Is everyone on board?” Sinker joined Wolffe. “Yes, sir. We’re just waiting for your command to take off.” Wolffe nodded in acknowledgement. “Very good. Comm Zero and tell him to take off.” “Yes, sir.” Boost and Sinker went their separate ways and Wolffe joined up with the general as he walked into the command center. The kel dor looked up and acknowledged Wolffe when he saluted him. “General.” “At ease, commander. I assume that everything is in order?” “Yes, sir. We should be taking off momentarily.” Plo Koon nodded his head and went back to studying something on the screen. “Anything else, sir?” “That is all, Wolffe. You may go now.” Wolffe saluted once more. “Yes, general.” The kel dor had always been a mystery to Wolffe and with him being a Jedi it made him even more mysterious but that didn’t stop them from fighting alongside one another. Wolffe walked over to the controls to make sure everything was under control then watched through the viewing window and watched as they launched into space.
Once they were on their way to the next planet Wolffe joined Sinker in the hangar where his men were waiting. All of them stood at attention when he entered and stood still as Wolffe walked up to the group. “Welcome to the 104th battalion. My name is Commander Wolffe and right here is Sergeant Sinker. Later on you will also be meeting the general but for now you will be dealing with us. During your time here you will report to either me or Sergeant Sinker and you will do as we say. Now, I won’t waste your time or mine so get to work.” The men saluted Wolffe and Sinker. A bunch of yes sir were shouted and the men went their separate ways. Wolffe then turned to Sinker. “Keep an eye on them. I don’t want the shinies fucking anything up.” “Got it Commander.” Wolffe looks back at his men for a moment before walking away and going about his day.
You woke up with a start when there was a sudden knock on your door. You grabbed the vibro blade you kept on your leg and quietly approached the door. “Who is it?”, you asked with a cautious tone. “It’s me. Jax.” You let out a sigh of relief and put your blade back before opening the door. Jax stood there with a tray of what you assumed was food from the mess hall. “You missed dinner so I figured I would bring you this.” You looked at him with a shocked look. “Wha-What time is it?” “0900.” You rubbed the rest of your sleep out of your eyes and took the tray. “Thanks. I didn’t miss anything important did I?” Jax nodded his head. “You’re all good. Have a good rest of your night. Oh, and I expect to see you in the medbay tomorrow. Gotta perform some physicals on the new guys.” “Yeah. I’ll uh..see you tomorrow then.” Jax walks away and you slide your door closed before sitting down. You take a bite of your food and while it wasn’t great it was better than what you had been served in the past. You eat the rest of your food and set the tray to the side. You then unpack your things and after you put everything away you get ready for bed. After you finish you climb into bed and go on your holopad for a while before setting it to the side. You turn off your light and lie down. You lie there for a while before you close your eyes and right back into a deep sleep.

Hey I just wanted to say I’m a big fan of all your books with human transformers and wanted to ask. If the reader in Fmod had kids with one of the possible love interests, would they also have issues like their father or be more like their mother and how many would they have? I’m sorry I have huge baby fever and I’m asking this question to see what you think and how they children would look like, I might even draw some examples for you and tag you in it! With Bumblebee I think he would end up being a great dad same with mirage and Ratchet. I could see Jazz and Cliff’s (I’m still not sure if he is a love interest so my apologies if I’m wrong.) kids being rambunctious, and Reader and Arcee ofc would have to adopt but I could see Arcee being very protective of her children I could see Ironhide being protective as well. With Optimus though I feel like he would be more strict but I could be wrong but he would still love his kids, that’s just some of the ones I theorized but I want to know what you think and how they would react to reader having kids with them. Again thank you for giving me something to look forward too, I haven’t had the best few weeks and these stories help me through my day a lot, with all of my heart thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
SDKFGFMLKJGDFNG Something to look forwards to? sldkjgmdfkgdfnkgjlng ahhhhhhh HHHHHHH- okay get serious now... I'm gonna treat this like a headcannon sorta thing, because I just woke up and am shaking because I forgot to take my meds last night-
Optimus as a dad would be very strict. But he would actually be a really good father! Even though he would raise them to be an Autobot, he would 100% make sure they have a really good childhood. Growing up a Prime would be tough for them, but they would be well taken care of. During pregnancy, he would take a very no-nonsense approach. Absolutely everything we eat and drink would have to go through him, it doesn't matter if it's a small saltine cracker, or a bowl of noodles, it goes through him. He wants our child to be more than healthy, he wants them perfect.
Arcee would be an amazing mother, but she wouldn't willing become one. She would teach them how to ride a motorcycle, like, come on, she'd totally turn them into a bike geek. She doesn't want a child in fear of treating them wrong, but what she doesn't realize is she is actually very good with kids. People who are cautious with children are often a lot softer with them, so she would be very gentle and caring. During pregnancy, we would most likely be the one to have it, she doesn't want to be the one to carry. If it be decided medically between the two of us and we get it professionally done at the hospital, or we just get one of the guys to knock us up and Arcee and us take care of it, she would be extremely over protective.
Jazz would probably be the strangest dad. Teaching them how to prank people, get good comebacks for insults, and let's be honest, he'd want their first word to be, "fuck." He'd be the type to give them a bunch of candy and then lock them in a room with us to, "get the energy out." He's really good with kids, but he doesn't know the first thing about fatherhood. He basically raised his brothers, but say he had a girl, what would he do then? He wouldn't know how to react. Jazz during pregnancy wouldn't be protective, but he would definitely see us as the sexiest person alive. It pretty normal for husbands to be immensely attracted to their wife when she is carrying his baby, but he physically can't keep his hands off of us.
CliffJumper would also be a really good parent. He's already taken on a very caring and gentle handed approach with us, so if he ended up having a child, he would take on a very neutering guide to everything. He would baby proof the entire house hold even in the first month of figuring out we were expecting. He's obsessed with safety. His love language is physical touch, so during pregnancy he would be very touchy-feely but not in a sexual way at all. If anything, he'd probably refuse to have sex with us in fear of harming the kid. Anything and everything to make sure the baby is safe, he'll go through with it.
Even though IronHide is asexual, let's say he does have a child with us. It wouldn't be his, of course, but him as a father figure as a whole would be very, "fuck around and find out." He'd be very understanding of the kid's angry problems in their later teen years, their tantrums in their younger life, and would automatically take the lead through all of it. He wants to be involved in the kid's life as much as possible, with him not having a father growing up, he wants to give the child everything he didn't have. During pregnancy he would be cold, but not distant. He's the type to already have all pregnancy craving foods already stashed away. Oh you want chocolate whipped cream with pineapple gummy bears? He's got you covered. Pickles and icecream? Honey, he'll eat it with you if it'll make you feel better.
Ratchet would probably be the best dad out of the eight. As much as Bee and Arcee would be amazing parents, Ratchet's extremely experienced with anything and everything. He's the most caring for a reason. The song, "Isn't She Lovely" By Stevie Wonder is a really good representation of what Ratchet's fatherhood would look like. He's comforting, and knows how to work around tantrums and crying fits, it's shocking that he wasn't a father before us. During pregnancy he'd know exactly what do to through everything. Absolutely anything you need, he would understand what to do automatically.
I wouldn't outright call Mirage the worst parent out of the bunch, but he's definitely not the best. With him and his anger issues, his approach on dealing with any form of frustration in his kid would only make the situation worse. He would need to go through a lot of mental training to prepare himself for fatherhood, but he would also be rather... Over protective over the kid, to the point we're concerned if it's even protecting anymore. During pregnancy he would be able to tell before we even need to take a test. Being a Detector has it's pros, along with an array of cons, but being able to tell when someone is expecting is one of the pros.
BumbleBee would be the sports dad. He'd want the kid to be totally invested in like boxing, football, dance, whatever the child feels like they want to go into. He's always wanted a kid, someone to properly take care of and be protective over. He knows he would be a good dad too. He's very confident in his ability to be a parent. During pregnancy he would be the caretaker. He would make sure we go to bed at the right hour, no alcohol and especially no stress. He would do his best to make things as easy as possible for us, he's Bee, what do you expect?

Lets goooooo, starting off with one that lives rent free in my head is Yera/Teldryn.
I forgot when but I didn't immediately get interested in Teldryn even after the Dragonborn DLC came out. It was a fic that had him as a side character that got me interested, then I started looking up other Ao3 fics with him in it and it's all I think about when daydreaming about Yera.
Yera by the time she gets to Solstheim has already gone through two world ending events and is super tired and ready to kick this Miraak character's ass and isn't with her friend Lydia at the moment so she needs to hire a mercenary to guide her around on account she is blind and uh oh. Good with a sword with a handsome voice? Basically got a crush on him second 1 and it's downhill from there.
Working on like an intro fic for the two of them but I can never seem to get it right but it'll get there one day.
Next is Yera/Miraak funnily enough, I am not alone in wanting that old book man. I just think that with Yera's incredibly strong personality and also probably kicking his ass while saving him would mesh well with him. I also have the thought that if Yera hung around Miraak long enough, he would convince her of taking the Rudy Throne on the base that they both are Dragon soul so they ought to rule everything.
But what if Yera had two hands, and she held hands with Teldryn and Miraak in the same house wouldn't that be wild haha... unless?
And my last ship is silly, but only because I recently re-watched Full Metal Alchemist but it's Miles/Olivier Armstrong. I love the Briggs portion of the show so much, I usually start there when I want a quick rewatch of the show. I just think they're neat, and people write some fun fics about them together so I'm having a lot of fun going through them and yeah.
First ship Had to be my oc/canon pairing Lexen/Riku from Kingdom Hearts. Lexen is my oldest most precious OC who has gone through some drastic changes in life that she is unrecognizable in the beginning and I'm almost embarrassed by the ship but I was like 14 and Riku was edgy and that's the kind of characters I liked so I could never exist haha
Last song 6.24 by Danger (Furi OST) I heard this song being used as a fight montage song and I had to find the original and welp I'm listening to a bunch of synth songs now
Currently reading Nothing at the moment, however my partner has the Elric of Melnibone series I got them for Christmas and they're done with them now, so it's my turn to read them!
Last film Me and my partner went to watch Godzilla Minus One and omfg that was so so scary a movie but also how do you have a monster film be also about survivors guild its so so good I highly recommend watching it as soon as you can!

To quote my four-year-old: “I need help! Help me!”
I have a Halo TV fic that’s been vexing me for months, and much as I didn’t want to spoil it, I kind of have to or I’ll never get off the dime.
Premise: UNSC higher-ups have decided Cortana must be deactivated (I’m magic wand-ing that they have a way to do this without harming John) pursuant to a law that mandates destroying all technology created through illegal means.
Problem: John’s not about to let this happen. Not because of personal feelings he’s not about to acknowledge or anything. He knows the committee is scapegoating Cortana. JAG is poking around, more people than should know the origins of the Spartan program, Halsey is off doing her thing, and it’s only a matter of time before someone talks or is made to. Offing Cortana looks like the committee is “doing something” and also gets rid of anything she knows or might hack her way into finding out. Like how at least Parangosky knew everything Halsey was doing to create Cortana and didn’t blow the whistle.
My problem: There’s a saying in the law about how when the law is on your side, you pound on the law; when the facts are on your side, you pound on the facts; when neither the law nor the facts are on your side, you pound on the table.
Neither the law nor the facts are on John’s side. Cortana’s creation was illegal and her deactivation is mandated by this law I made up. What table can he pound on here? What would convince the committee to grant a reprieve? Consent isn’t an option since John didn’t have a say in getting Cortana planted in his brain in the first place, or in…like anything else that has ever been done to him.
Basically, we have a bunch of eggheads trying to cover their sixes because they all know too much. The only sympathetic parties here are Captain Keyes and maaaaaaybe Admiral Hood very reluctantly. What’s going to get half plus one of these people to cave?
The first and third parts of this fic are done. I just need to get over this hump.

I didn't put them on the list because I didn't know their 'red flag' and to be honest I still don't know them that well. I only started following MotoGP in 2020 and there's still a bunch of lore that I don't know about a lot of riders.
What can I tell you about Martín is the following, he likes to drag people in the media either riders or teams (or Michelin yesterday). He is on the believe os 'I'm the best qualified for everything and I deserve the world'. He had been a bit shady with Ducati in the past, but apparently Ducati failed him. Overall is just his actitud (and living in Andorra). After that he is pretty green flag. He is supportive of other riders and I remember someone in the fandom said that they have seen him display support towards victims of homophobia in Madrid back in 2020 or 2019. He also doesn't forget who has helped him and he was so appreciative of Aleix and the help he gave him over the years.
Edit: I fucking forgot the flag! The fucking flag!
Okay so every time Jorge is in the podium/wins, he carries a Spanish flag with a bull in it. It's a iffy symbol. It's know as the 'Toro de Osborne' and it's associated with a Spanish nationalism. It doesn't sit well in all Spain (lets say I seen it associated with the extrem right in politics although it not exclusive of them).
With Espargaró I'm going to assume it's only Aleix and not Pol (who is one of the greenest flags in the paddock with Rins (and maybe Joan pending the black face incident and him liking hunting and guns)). So Aleix is knows for his temper outburst. Like it's not the first time you see him screaming to a rider, marshal or even his mechanics, and before anyone attack him, he knows he is not the best and it's already working to solve it (we love a self-aware man). He used to be the rider that followed everyone and their mother in track to the a toe/slipstream, but now he gets mad when other people do that. There's a 'funny' incident with Petrux, where he got in between him and another rider and Petrux went to Twitter/X to show his displeasure, and Aleix pulled the data of the incident to prove that he actually was helpful and that helped Petrux to get a better lap time even if he didn't get directly to Q2 or passed from Q1 to Q2.
He used to get in lot of troubles in social media due to comments and the way he speaks, no filter, with the truth upfront and not sugar coating things, but he is the same with the media. You either like him for that or you hate him, unfortunately, Pol usually gets dragged to that because people get confused with the brothers. He also was 'accused' of being pro-catalan independence, but he cleared that up. Out side the track, he is very vocal for the riders safety, takes care of a lot of riders and is friend of his friends.
As far as I know (again, I've been around only since 2020), it's the first time he got violent with another rider, and got to that extrem, Said that, apparently is not the first time that Morbidelli had been sitting on the racing line ans it's not the first time Aleix has encountered him. It's not an excuse for what he did, I'm just pointing out that both are wrong.

hermitcitizen carrrdddd im infodumping here since it wont let me in tags👎
basically pearl hired a bunch of citizens around her alien base to be on “clean up crew” because she cant be everywhere at once, and she focused more on keeping the trash bins at other bases regulated at a decent pace. she also wanted to give the citizens something to do. You know. however, some people just. REALLY sucked at taking care of the different plants/creatures/forms of alien life near her base, so she created a smaller group of these guys (clean up crew) who really struggle and sent them to keep the crastle clean as the maintenance level would be lower and much easier😭😭😭They still fuck it up tho but they are trying their best. sam (my hermitsona) works there during most days and has a blast.
sam felt very. Out of Place at pearls base, because she had decided to settle there on a whim but AUTISM BE DAMNED that boy CANNOT figure out how to clean up a base properly and take care of foreign life forms. but hey!!! hes got a castle to take care of. and she gets to keep the few diamonds ren placed in the small cracks he forgot about. At Least thats something
also is it a good time to mention sam joined AFTER ren was dethroned? yeah.maybe thats important. sam knows practically NOTHING about ANYTHING just that hes here now, she likes pearl, and he can “””clean””” lawl

Well uh. Art. Drawing. Yeah. I also do crochet :) and then reading + video games + anime etc etc the whole shebang. Non-media activities include puzzles and gardening :)

I was tagged by @theestuaryandthesea and I completely forgot to do this because I can be a bit of a space cadet in the summer but then @megsandherbooks tagged me too, so here I am (after writing myself a reminder 😂)… finally.
Favorite Color: Not to be a basic white girl, but I love sea foam green.
Currently Reading: For fun, Hunt the Stars by Jessie Mihalik but I’m also reading Bi: The Hidden Culture, History and Science of Bisexuality by Julia Shaw for my dissertation prep. I also have a bunch of articles open on my laptop right now that are in various states of being read too.
Last Song: “Don’t Tell Anyone” by Semler is the last song, but I often listen to podcasts more than music now. I just started It’s Locked: A Nancy Drew Podcast about the Nancy Drew computer games that were a fundamental part of my childhood and I love it.
Last Series: The last series I finished was a throwback to Food Court Wars which made me nostalgic for when malls were not dead. The last episode of I watched was Selling the Big Easy and it made me want to go back to New Orleans ASAP.
Last Movie: To be fully transparent and honest, I do have to admit I watched (most) of Purple Hearts on Netflix because I love a rom com but I had to fast forward the singing. That is my big pet peeve in movies and I just couldn’t take that on top of the not even thinly veiled military propaganda. Was this somehow on the list of movies partially funded by the Pentagon because it sure felt like it? A former host of a podcast I listened to live tweeted her reaction as a former military lawyer and it made the whole thing so much better. One of her tweets said the movie needed to fast forward to show the audience where the male lead was on January 6th and I was like “yeah, that tracks.” He 100% had capitol mob vibes.
Sweet/Spicy/Savory: Sweet before spicy before savory. I love sweet things and my dental bill wishes I did not.
Currently Working On: Dissertation prep and course planning for the fall semester. I also really like to make miniature houses and I just finished one so I need to start a new one! I just finished this one:

I can't understand a single word that was said before it translated to English it doesn't really work for an effect like I clearly intended. Plus the paragraphing makes it hard to read.

But then the moment shatters and you're left standing with the broken remains of what could never be.
The pacing and plot convenience is shit though (where is the racism? The foreign and silent curiosity of who you are?) let me just continue the fic.
I WANT TO FUCKING READ THIS FIC NOT A TON OF GLYPHS! The whole fic will be like this god dammit. I didn't realize this was my era before I learnt how to write foreign languages.

I'm sorry but these quotes are something else. Where is the comma? You could've made this a beautiful paragraph but it's just a sentence. DESCRIBE THE ANGUISH!
Which corner is Wilbur staring at? Shouldn't he just like... glare at Phil with murder in his eyes? Also why is Tommy the attack dog? I get that Wilbur is roleplaying a drama club goth but shouldn't Techno logically be the protective one here? Or them all trying to shuffle each other behind themselves like some weird fight. And Phil's just standing there confused and vaguely exasperated, like it's someone else's emotions.
Don't make me rewrite this fic I don't want to touch it again.

And that's it! I hope you enjoyed my commentary on my 10,000-word book. I actually found it enjoyable to rediscover my own book. I can understand how other people got put off by it but after slogging through the dialogue I couldn't fucking read it was a decent story. A few issues but overall a fun experience.

what have been BLs that took you by surprise this year?
definitely cupid’s last wish. i was unsure about watching it because people seemed to really hate it, but it actually ended up being one of my favourite bls of the year, probably my favourite gmmtv bl after not me - very cleverly done body switching, amazing acting, a roadtrip that explores the thai countryside, the food and the temples, a journey about letting go of anger and overall a good character arc for the main character. it definitely does not deserve the bad rep it gets and i’ll fight to the death to defend it and my son win
what have been BLs that you felt a bit disappointed with this year?
vice versa and kinnporsche. they both got so boring at one point and that never changed. for vice versa it’s incredible how you can have such a creative premise about interdimensional body switch and then have the execution be so boring and mundane. i’m especially disappointed by kinnporsche because im not into mafia plots and wasn’t gonna watch it at all, but then it blew up so i decided to try it, only for it to get boring after like episode... 7?
what has been your favorite BL this year?
triage and not me. i think triage is objectively the best bl of 2022, incredible story and characters and any complaint i have would be nitpicking. but not me sparked so much joy and because of it i met people who made the year so wonderful. now im making videos a lot more often than before and i started writing fics again after 5 years and i owe it all to not me

what's your non-BL favorite this year?
i recommend p.s. i hate you so much!!! i started watching it for jan and the mystery element, but i loved everything about it, especially the complex female characters. it’s a bit hard to stomach sometimes but i loved it so much. and i know these have barely started but i’m also in love with the warp effect (very fun show with diverse couples and super good commentary on sex, sex ed, consent and more) and midnight motel (three broke idiots create an app for call girls and get into a bunch of trouble. im also biased because it has offjan)
