Formatting in any Microsoft program makes me FERAL
#Why it gotta do all that#Just do what I tell you to and we'll be alright#But nah it's gotta do all this other crazy stuff that I didn't tell it to do#Just spent 2 hours trying to convert a docx to a pdf so it wouldn't fudge up my formatting when I#Submit my resume#But instead the pdf fudged up the formatting everytime#yknow the thing it's supposed to prevent from happening to begin with#Finally figured something out but the file preview looks messed up so idk if the pdf I was able to get has parts blacked out or not#Idek why it looks redacted in the little window cause the doc I redownloaded looks fine#So I ended up submitting my docx resume anyway just in case#I swear crazy shit like this only ever seems to happen to me#Friggin goin to bed at 3 am I have an interview at 1030 I wanted to review some documents come up with good stories#All this cause I thought it would be so EASY to tweak my resume#I've been working on this since like 930!!!!!! >:(#But it's all submitted now so hopefully everything is in order and it looks OK#Ugh I'm tired

The leadership moment no one talks about.
In the season 2 opener for Discovery (Brother), we're introduced to Captain Pike. A lot - nearly everyone - praises this episode because of how charismatic and non-Lorca, Pike is. The scene that garners the most praise is when Tilly accidentally posts Pike's personal file on the viewscreen in front of the entire bridge crew. Also, the scene where he has the bridge crew state their name and rank is another moment that gets pedalstalized.
But the moment I want to discuss was when the DSC crew was informed about the USS Hiwatha (shout out to Jett Reno). There's a back and forth that happens between Pike and Saru, where Saru is trying to assess the situation. During their exchange, Pike mentions being forced to sit out the Klingon War.
Immediately after their exchange, he demands a solution, and Michael steps up to provide one. However, before she can finish her statement, he yells at her and accuses her and the Discovery crew of wanting to leave behind whoever is on the Hiawatha. That's a wild assumption to make about the crew that actually ended the Klingon War, while dealing with a degenerate captain.
Here's the leadership moment - Michael's response. Contrary to the accusation that she's emotional, she doesn't get angry, cry, or shut down. She boldly and respectfully, stands up for herself AND HER CREW.
Michael could have simply defened herself, and she would not have been wrong. But being the leader she is, she doesn't see his accusation as solely as misjudgment on her, but a misjudgment on the entire crew. Furthermore, she respects his position of authority, but she's not a fangirl, nor is she intimidated. Michael is confident in her crew and was not going to shrink at anyone mischaracterizing them, including Starfleet's golden boy.
This is why the Discovery crew was willing to jump 930 years into the future with her. They know she has their back.

Today I'm sharing my first ever minimalistic apartment renovation in the Sims 4. This Sims 4 apartment is renovated as a full glass, modern, minimalistic, light, and elegant studio apartment.
It's a perfect apartment for a sim couple who enjoy city living.
San Myshuno (The Sims 4 City living)
930 Medina studios apartment
1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 toilet
This apartment is uploaded as a room and it should be placed in the 930 Medina studios apartment. In order for your windows to change you need to delete the original ones using T.O.O.L. I would recommend you to check Twisted Mexi’s YouTube channel.
There is a lot of YouTube tutorials on how to use it! Pick the one that works for you!
Also, if you want to change my original walls or wallpapers, for everything to stay in the place you need to install the Better BuildBuy mod from the Twisted Mexi and turn on deletion protection as an option in BBB's filter panel. Turn it on while necessary and turn it back off immediately after.

You guys...
A half hour before we closed I had to deal with...
Someone stealing from us, my cashier running out the door to try to catch him, and having to file a police report.
Finding out that someone at my old store in Indiana is using my register log in numbers possibly to do nefarious things
The server not shutting down -- meaning I had no idea of the store was actually shut down or not and that make a whole big mess.
I usually am home by 930. It was 1030 when I got home. I started work at noon.
I'm so tired...

Let's talk about how absolutely horrible Amber Heard is.

According to what evidence I've been able to gather, she is absolutely horrible. Let's look at the evidence.
In these images, you'll see a side by side comparison of AH and other DV victims.
After being beat by Johnny, she came out with naught but a small "bruise" under her eye, while real victims came out looking much worse from less. The photos of her and Johnny together are no makeup shoots, meaning that after being dragged on glass, being beat for around 7 minutes, and apparently sustaining a multitude of injuries, she looked fine, acted fine, and was fine.
In these images, you'll see;
- Amber admitting to being absuive
- Amber being a drug addict
- Getting arrested for hitting her girlfriend of the time
- Not keeping her story of how Johnny's finger tip was severed straight 3 times in a row
- Smirking while Johnny recounted his detox experience
- Admitting to falsifying documents and not giving the money, 7 million dollars, to the charity she promised it to
- Quoting movies when she was describing Johnny Depp
In these images, you'll see Amber Heard's arm bruise, which shows her face and neck, which as no bruises, even though those parts of her body were also allegedly bruised from abuse, and an image of her with no bruises only a day after her alleged abuse, with evidence that Johnny may have been bruised at that event as well at the Met Gala of 2014.
In this image, you see some of her coworkers talking about how she never pulled punches on them in scenes, despite the fact that she did for her female coworkers.
Lastly, we'll be taking a look at a text message conversation of Amber talking with a friend, speaking about how easy it'd be to kill her husband, Johnny Depp.

Oh shit I totally missed this one, I'm sorry! I was doing Weird Tessa Stories for these, right? Alright, a long one to make up for the delay -- the worst photo experience of my life.
So the year is 2017, I'm finishing up my Ph.D. in Laramie, WY. I'm massively stressed and dissociating all the time from both the stresses of academia and four years in the closet. This was distinctly in my "nail polish and skirt goes on Friday afternoon and comes off Sunday evening" era. I'm also looking for jobs to get OUT of Laramie.
My parents see my LinkedIn picture, which at that point was a selfie, and as a birthday present they offer to buy me a professional photography session to get a nice looking picture for my website/linkedin/etc. Okay, this seems fine. They find a photographer, I go meet with her.
I immediately get Weird Vibes from her. Her office is in this loft thing downtown with tons of example pictures, it looks like she specializes in senior photos and wedding photoshoots but in a way that feels very pandering to that crowd? Also she's talking about her second vacation home in Colorado so I'm like, lady you're already wealthy why the fuck are you doing this
She's incredibly solicitous, all praise and flattery and fluff. Her emails are downright florid, and she's the same way in person. She's the walking incarnation of a Hobby Lobby wooden Bible verse sign.
But the most salient part of the consultation for this story is that she insists on COMING TO YOUR HOUSE to critique your wardrobe.
She comes over and paws through my selection of Guy Clothes (which despite making up most of my wardrobe, I don't care that much about at this point) while constantly making comments to Emma about "Oh, haha, he's such a guy, you know how men are!"
(Emma, for her part, is doing a valiant job of defending me against this dysphoria without actually outing me, because she's the best.)
So, a suit that fits her specifications is selected and the day of photographs comes around. At this point, if I was paying for this myself, I would have bailed long ago; but it was a gift from my parents and I'm debilitatingly conflict averse, so out I went.
Immediately she takes me to a back alley in Laramie. I ask her why, she says she wants to get some casual shots of me first. I tell her I'm just here for business shots, she tells me to loosen up, it'll be fun!
Did I mention I'm conflict averse?
So I'm standing there in an alley, holding my suit jacket over my shoulder in the most awkward possible way, staring at a piece of graffiti that says "JESUS SUCKED YOUR DAD'S COCK", when I start to realize that maybe this has all gone a little off the rails.
Eventually we do get some good professional shots by the river.
A couple weeks later she calls me in for a consultation. I bring Emma along for moral support, because the weird vibes at this point are getting pretty overwhelming. The photographer sets up a projector and shows off these hugely blown-up portraits of me on the wall, saying "Oh, getting a print of this size is only $930, I have one above my couch!"
(Also, she's showing off the alley pictures. I do not want the alley pictures. I think maybe Modern Tessa could pull it off in like a crop top or something, but Awkward 2017 Closet Tessa in a suit could not. We tell her we do not want the alley pictures. She shows us more alley pictures.)
Each time, she's trying to talk us down and down to smaller and smaller sizes of print. My dysphoric ass at the time doesn't want ANY picture of myself hanging on the wall; also, that's just not the tenor of our decor at all. We keep politely saying no.
Also keep in mind that MY PARENTS HAVE ALREADY PAID HER FOR THE PHOTOGRAPHS.
Eventually we're just blunt with her: my parents already paid, can you just give us the digital files? We hired you for a LinkedIn photo, you have taken the photos, we don't want prints.
She says "I don't give out digital files."
Not once during this whole process has she mentioned this; not once in all the times that either my parents or myself have told her that this is for job hunting. We say this, and additionally say "When we hired our wedding photographer, she gave us a thumbdrive with ALL the pictures she took, AND the retouches, as part of the package."
This woman has the fucking gall to say "Well, I'm sure some people do that, but not serious portrait photographers."
We manage to get out of there without buying a fucking poster-size print of Jesus Cock Alley Tessa. I call my parents and tell them the situation. My parents, eminently practical people, say they'll deal with it.
Two days later I get an email from her, forwarded from my dad. It has the subject "linked in photo attached", no text, and a single medium-resolution picture from the river photoshoot, and I never hear from her again.

930 Medina Studios
Hi, Simblrverse! It's been a minute... or maybe a bagillion. Hope you're doing well out there in the world. I've been full steam ahead back into work mode, and since I have to sit in front of a computer all day, I haven't been Simming much in my down time. Hopefully I'll be able to get a good work/play balance going here in the next few weeks; thanks for bearing with me!
With that out of the way, I present 930 Medina Studios. I made sure the bones of the apartment matched Apartments 910 and 920, but since it was the biggest (5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms), I gave it a large kitchen and dining area as well, which turned out to be my favorite areas in the entire renovation.
I've been binging Grey's Anatomy A LOT lately, so I furnished the apartment for 5 Medical Interns, collectively known as 930 Doctors (yes, they have their own Club). Each of the bedrooms is tailored to their individual styles and integrates elements of the backstories I came up with for each of them.

The pen had twisted, the clip moving aside revealing a small slot that she had pressed on, a very small piece of plastic popping out that she then put into another device with headphones plugged into it. She had offered no explanations and he was starting to understand that asking questions would get him nothing but another shrug or non-answer. Putting aside the book he was reading, he slid the robe on that she had gotten him and walked out into the living room, watching her from the doorway as she listened to the recording. A small, almost adorable, scowl adorned her face and she wrote in a notebook from time to time, taking notes on the conversation she was listening to. His head tilted to the side as he watched her write, however, and he went over, leaning over her shoulder. It wasn't any lettering he recognized.
"What're you writing in?" Napoleon asked.
"Latin in the Ancient Roman alphabet." She said simply. "Quiet."
"Latin? You know Latin?"
"Learned it for an assignment in Rome, shush."
"They speak Italian or English in Rome, not Latin." Napoleon said, "And they definitely don't use the Ancient Roman alphabet anymore."
"I use it because if my notebook is found, no one will be able to translate the notes unless they have a degree in dead languages." Allison said, "Now quiet."
"Still doesn't explain why you learned it for an assignment if--" His words stopped as she reached up, pressing a finger to his lips.
"Silence." She said and tapped the tip of his nose gently before withdrawing her hand. He waited in silence until she was done and she turned off the device, taking the headphones off. "Your meeting at their offices tomorrow gives us an opportunity to get into their files, see who else is doing business with them and what deals they've already made. Think you can plot out a floor plan and then draw it with accuracy?"
"I can, yes." Napoleon said.
"Wonderful. I doubt they'll take you into their file room, but I can still work with it." Allison said, "Then tomorrow night, I'll go snooping and see what I can come across."
"We will go snooping. You're not going by yourself."
"I move faster on my own and having us both there doubles the chances of detection."
"And having someone there who's actually been in the building will help."
"That's what the drawing is for."
"Which you can't exactly take with you."
"Which I'll memorize so I don't have to."
"Allison."
"Napoleon."
"I'm going with you, end of discussion." He said and she sighed, leaning forward and covering her eyes with her hand briefly before setting her chin in her palm. Her eyes went blank for a moment, but then she blinked and was back.
"Okay, fine. It won't go wrong if you come with me, but only if you do what I say when I say it. You don't, and it will go sideways." He got the feeling she wasn't speaking in hypotheticals, but an actual proven fact.
"I--okay." Napoleon said and she nodded.
"Spectacular." She said and stood from the chair, stretching with her arms above her head. The phone in the apartment rang shrilly and he went over to it, picking it up.
"Leon Wright." The voice on the other end just gave him a time and location, telling him to come alone before the call disconnected. His handlers weren't exactly big on words, but the fact that they didn't want Allison to be at the meeting gave him pause.
"Everything okay?" Allison asked.
"Yes, everything is fine." He said with a small smile and she perked an eyebrow at him before shrugging and moving past it.
“I need to take a shower. I’m starting to smell…interesting.” She said and went to her suitcase, pulling out a bag of toiletries and disappearing into the bathroom after grabbing a set of pajamas as well. The silk set, he noted with interest. Taking off the robe, he went back into the bedroom and threw it over the chair in the corner, laying on the bed and waiting for her to come back out. It was about 45 minutes by the time she finally emerged, her hair twisted up in a towel, the nightgown clinging to her damp skin. Her skin was flush from the hot water and the gentle smell of…peaches? followed her as she walked past the bed, taking the towel down and squeezing her hair in the folds. Napoleon watched her closely, his hands on his stomach and he turned onto his side, propping up on his elbow as she joined him on the bed, laying with her back to him.
“Allison?” He asked.
“Yes, Napoleon?” Leaning into her, he pressed his lips to her shoulder bared by the thin straps of the nightgown, his hand going to her tucked-in waist under the blankets and she snorted in amusement.
“I did say to hold that thought.”
“You did, yes.” She said and his hand slid over the silk to her stomach, making her laugh. “You’re incorrigible, you know that?”
“Encourageable? Absolutely.” He said and she laughed again, turning over to look up at him and making him smile.
“Come here you little--” She pulled him down into a kiss and he smirked against her lips, easing his weight down onto her as his hands went to her thighs, sliding the nightgown up her smooth skin.
