love me braver – some dedications
i posted a very long and emotional fic and i’m just... sigh. i’ve worked on it so much that some of the magic is dead to me just from repetition but i can’t wait to reread it with fresh eyes. that fic means so much to me. it’s the culmination of like everything i ever wanted in highschool. i’ve been writing nothing but dedications for this fic recently, but it just... yeah. anyway. here are some self indulgent, sappy dedications that are written very dramatically but are completely genuine.
to all the times i stayed up singing about something i wouldn’t let myself have. nearly all of kyoya’s chapters mean that to me.
to all the best friends i fell in love with. especially M, who i knew i wouldnt have and knew it wouldnt work with, and F, who i knew i could’ve had but knew i shouldn’t try with.
to all the people who listened to me pine about those best friends (and then angst about it, afterward).
to the cast of my senior year play, indecent. there’s a moment in the fic where renge imagines dancing in the rain––that was for you, EG. and you, LF.
to all the seniors and upperclassmen recently ive been able to talk to about this. you guys mean so much to me. HD, SY, ARS. thank you for listening, thank you for sharing. thank you for the memes and the advice.
to all the underclassmen i’ve mentored. i love you guys. pass it on.
to all my friends, in the various host clubs of my life. KN, MM, it’s funny to think how early we flocked together, even before we knew that we were all different inside. but you guys opened my mind and made me braver. thanks for bearing with my rocky start, and im glad to have witnessed yours. JS, DC, AH... you guys are so incredibly important to me. I would not be who i am without you. thank you for being such a formative experience, and for being such unabashedly weird loves. GP, SY thank you for that night on the bean bags, for every night in the lounge. i think you were the first people i could open this up to in that way, and you were an ideal first audience.
to the fic authors who wrote stuff and just. tore my heart out. BH in particular, you’ve been so kind to me and i just Know you’ve been experiencing me grow up over the process of reading your stuff, which is embarrassing as i reread my old comments but thank you so much for being kind to that young struggling person and thank you so much for being so cool and open even now. thank you to PP and W and E and that person that wrote the incredibly long, dramatic heartbreaking kyokao series. all of those were things that touched me in ways i cannot possibly begin to describe. this fic has everything you taught me inside it, and i’ve poured the love of your writing into mine.
lastly, of course: to me. thank you for taking the time to try this, and for all the work you’ve done to get us here. to that scared emo highschool kid, thank you for hanging in there and choosing good friends. it’s okay. we have all the time in the world. it was always going to be okay. i promise.

Hi There, Buggie Fam! Can you rec any historic BH AU fics? Or, tag them for me? Thank you for this blog! xx
Hi there! Sure can. Here are Some links to a few of our tags where you’re sure to find something:
1950s au
Genre: Historical
Genre: Royal
Genre: Fantasy
Jughead: Military  (not all historical, of course, but a good chunk are)
(lots of those lists have links to other lists - it’s a vortex more dangerous than youtube’s recommended videos list ;) Some of the old tags don’t work any more (sad) but most do)
There’s also the #campbughead event going on. Every day has a different theme, and if memory serves, some of them were historical.
And a handful of newer ones:
Aprille Shoures by @typing123
E   2/?
Summary: Jughead, the God of love, beauty and sex is sent back to earth to find his muse.
Betty, hard-working college student home for the summer, finds a naked man in the woods.
(MM’s note: I might be stretching the parameters of the ask with this one, but Jughead’s an ancient God, so I decided it counts.)
Dipsy Doodles by @tory-b
T  1/1
Summary: The Year is 1923.
Jughead met Betty on the streets of New York City, when she reached inside her father’s deep pockets and pulled out a single silver coin, placing it in his tiny hands. It was the first time anyone had ever ignored the dirt on his face and the way his overalls were far too big for his body. He was just nine years old and had never seen anything more lovely than her dimpled smile. Just as he was about to thank her for her gratitude, her mother–in pristine white gloves–snatched her hand away, muddling something about street urchins that couldn’t hurt his feelings anymore, not after all the times he’d already heard it.
Roman Holiday by @wearediamonds
T   2/?
Summary: She should have everything that a person could ever want and need, but Princess Elizabeth feels trapped in her claustrophobic life.
Jughead Jones is a photographer and journalist trapped in Rome, always searching for his big break that will be his ticket out of the country.
Two people who would normally never meet suddenly do, and what better place to meet than Rome?
(Un)forgotten Soldier by @shrugheadjonesthethird
G   1/1
Summary: Two months after his eighteenth birthday, Forsythe Pendleton Jones, III was drafted to go to war. It didn’t matter that he was the only son. It didn’t matter that he was the only one to continue the Jones name. Every able-bodied man was drafted to fight a war no one believed in.
OR
Jughead has been drafted to go into the Army to fight in the Vietnam War. Right before he leaves, he meets Betty Cooper.
(Jughead is 18, Betty is 16)
