Polish Minister of Health approved the creation of pregnancy register which means that doctors will be gathering data about their pregnant patients.
not only legal abortion in Poland is basically impossible, now it'll be extremely difficult to get abortion abroad or to perform it yourself using meds (basically: there will be proof that a person was pregnant and no longer is, which could be used against them).
Polish government really does hate women.

you have to be sexy but you have to be sexy in a way that's kind of bloody. you learn this early because you are wearing a ruffled skirt and the snow around your ankles kicks little sand particles against your calves. baby's first catcall. welcome to sexiness! welcome to the eyesore of your own body!
you have to be sexy like high heels. like sculpted eyebrows. like lean stomach and highly treated hair. you have to be sexy like youth is sexy, which means you have to be sexy like boxtox and plastic. a 30 year old can be sexy but she's not going to be bloody, and they like the bloodiness of it. a 30 year old is sexy when she is a whiskey glass and a wooden desk.
but you need to be sexy like an open mouth. you need to be sexy like a bitten apple. like plucked skin and white-knuckling the waxing kit.
so sex is a performance, not an enjoyment. for a while, you just assumed everyone else was also in on the joke - nobody actually likes sex that much, right? like, some men probably do, but why would you? it is like a gender - your gender is sexy. your gender is the performance of sex. you are thigh highs and garter belts. which, to be fair, do make you feel sexy.
part of what does make sex good is that you can tell that other people want you, which means the performance of sexiness is both bloody and wanted, which is good, which means you are winning at having a body. being wanted is the prize. being wanted is the thing you are searching for, not hope. you think you are looking for a soft grave in easy loam, but that is bloody but not sexy. to be sexy you must be bloody like a red open sign. bloody like a handprint. this will make you wanted.
any wanted or unwanted body is subject to supply and demand, which is to say that the more demand, the better you are valued. you must be highly demanded to be valued. this is stated in matter-of-fact by some men. sometimes it is a priest that says it, and sometimes it is a podcaster, and sometimes it is the 45th president of the united states of america.
(if you do not have any experience with being told your value, i want you to grab the nearest bird to you and i want you to crush it into a thin paste in your hand. spit into the center, and then hold your fingers closed tight around it for days and days, long after the rot has set in. feel bones itch inside of your fist. this is only a fraction of what it actually feels like, but it will suffice for a moment.)
good sex feels like you have earned their desperation. you have earned your own value. for a while you operated under the understanding that everyone knew about the power structure, even him. that their desire to take you - the violence of it - means that you must desire to be caught. little prince, guardian fox - you would rather have cut your own arm off. you liked the secret, cunning little voice you keep tucked into a box. you think you are fucking me. i am not even here right now. you are fucking what i conned you into perceiving. this is a painting, not a person. dominion over the body before all things.
so you bend your body like a wheat shaft and learn the steps so perfectly that it almost seems graceful. (if you do not have experience faking your own connection to your body and sexuality, cut each of your articles of clothing just a little bit incorrectly. pour fishbones into each of your meals. this way, you will experience the average noon on a tuesday.)
you have to be sexy like light spilled over a desk, but not desperate. not a noose. you can't be sexy like an electric guitar, you are the acoustic. you have to be on top of the bull but you can't have control over the animal.
okay, okay. the little rabbit of your heart went to sleep so long ago that winter has ravaged your concept of the human soul. there's something very-bad inside you, something that has taken over, a little fetid and rabid animal, angry and hurting and willing to bite first.
oh but even that's a pain that's sexy. open your mouth. be careful not to let the canines show.

tide is turning: tracking hope for women in real time
New York Times piece (this link is to a tumblr post containing the article contents to avoid paywall) challenging the blind-affirmation model of medical transition, platforming detransitioners and desisters, as well as medical professionals who have distanced themselves from the blind-affirmation model after working in transition medicine (link to NYT article here in case anything happens to previous link)
The Guardian questions the vanity inherent to "body positivity"
Female facial hair pride and educational PCOS content from famed Daily Mail tabloid (I'll take it, though)
BBC article on child-free women (& touches on female separatism some) in South Korea. While this article certainly has its flaws (plummeting birthrates are not a "crisis" to be "solved," they're a symptom of mass patriarchal failure - though the article doesn't focus much on the "crisis" aspect), it overall is some really solid content and brings to more public light a lot of what we on radblr frequently discuss re: South Korean sex-based oppression and feminism. Just seeing this in a mainstream media article is huge to me.
Women are outperforming men in all kinds of shit!
TBD
will be adding to this gradually, and please send me more as well! I think we need this 🩶

If you are a woman with stereotypically feminine interests, you are labeled as “basic”. If you are a woman with stereotypically masculine interests, you are a “pick-me”. If you are a woman with niche interests in general, you are “not like other girls”.
It is impossible to exist as a woman.

”i’ll give you two options. option a; i take lloyd with me, you do exactly as i say, and i won’t have to do anything you’ll regret. or option b…”
ik comparing ninjago and monkie kid is tired and annoying but harumi and macaque are so similar and as an avid fan of both i have to intervene (more rambling under the cut)
i wouldve LOVED if harumi’s arc in crystalized went the same way as macaque’s arc in s3; both of died and came back to life in very similar situations but harumi’s motivations wouldve been a lot clearer if it was presented like macaque’s
both characters died in a tragic and bad emotional state but were brought back to life to basically be omnipotent power person’s main man. bc of their blinding hatred for the “heroes” and also just bc they didnt want to die they decide to take up the offer and give up their soul (basically) to be brought back to life and destroy the world for their new “master” (idk a better word)
but where it diverges is that the narrative of s3 constantly emphasizes macaque in pain and how at his lowest point he doesnt even care about trying to get his “revenge” anymore, he just wants so desperately to stop being under lbd’s control and stop being in constant pain bc of it.
if harumi’s arc emphasized those things more it wouldve been really good and way more believable for if she would join the ninja in fighting mr overlord. i actually have wayyy more to say for this type of au but to summarize harumi and macaque (sinistershadow duo) FOREVER!!!!
also wouldnt this look have gone hard for harumi in crystalized. like ik she was originally gonna show up in a spider freakazoid thing but monkie kid already took that which is ironic but i mean the crystal stuff being what keeps her body together wouldve gone hard

i keep seeing people say that people criticizing dylan mulvaneys song would never criticize that song if it was made by a cis woman and then they conclude that those ppl are "terfs" and it's like!!! no!!! we'd literally criticize the song if a woman wrote it too!!! my qualms would probably differ a bit because women are still socialized to often put down, demean, infantalize, etc ourselves, as opposed to dylan adopting a persona/costume of what he thinks a woman is (and therefore affirming that characture of a woman onto others), but in what world are legit terfs pro- "girlhood = shopping, promiscuity, pink " ?
the RF actually stands for something yall!!
SO many radfems/terfs are outspoken against "bimbo feminism" or "girl dinner", "girl math", "I'm just a 20 something teenage girl," etc trends that come from women!
terfs would not endorse this song even coming from a "cis" woman!

Transandrophobia theory is not incompatible with transmisogyny theory. Look into my eyes and understand this, I’m begging you.
Quote from Julia Serano’s 2021 article “What is Transmisogyny”: “For others (e.g., certain nonbinary people, trans male/masculine-spectrum people), misogyny may intersect with transphobia in different ways that aren’t adequately articulated by transmisogyny. This doesn’t necessarily make transmisogyny ‘wrong’; it may simply mean that we need additional language.”
From her 2016 article “Articulating Transmisogyny”: “I have observed people using ‘trans-misogyny’ as shorthand to suggest that ‘trans men are privileged, and trans women oppressed, end of story.’ I reject such oversimplifications.”
We are not on opposite sides. There are large misunderstandings at work here. Transmascs are as capable of (trans)misogyny just as much as anyone else, AND they have experiences with the intersection of transphobia and misogyny. These things can both be true.

dick grayson who needs to be useful and needed to feel loved vs reader who is hypervigilant of their own fault and tries desperately not to be a burden: fight
it ends in tears. unstoppable force versus immovable object. you don't want to make his life any harder because you can see he's struggling. he's just straight up begging. i said in last post tags he'd moan if you ask him to get you a glass of water. ask him to make you a snack and he'll just straight up come in his pants.

I'm still so bitter about how the trans community never told me the negative effects of T and binding. I'm so lucky that I didn't do any of those things, bc now I know they would bring me extensive pain, destroy my whole menstrual cycle, skeleton structure, and overall well-being forever.
I learned about it from people the trans cult despises the most, women that they are calling terfs. They saved my life, my dear friend saved my life because she found Radblr and showed me that my feelings are valid outside of the gender spectrum and that it's okay to be just a woman. I know if not for her and this wonderful community I would have gone through T and probably let my boobs be cut off even though I did like how I looked before entering the trans cult.
I'm so bitter about being lied to by omission, by a community that was supposed to protect me from this big bad world.
And the funny thing is, I feel so much better now, I don't have to take my anti-depression meds, because I'm genuinely happy and at one with, my body now. The big bad everyone around me was screaming about saved my life and I know I'm not the only one.
There are many like me out there and many women who weren't so lucky and now are detransitioning (51k just on Reddit).
My rage has no end and I'll fight for every single one of those women. They deserve to feel as happy and at home as I do now. I know I can't do much, but maybe I'll stir something in those lost women by telling my story. I really hope I do.

Make Contraceptives Free in Canada!
Tumblr media
If you are Canadian or a resident of Canada, you have until August 26th at 11:05 EST to sign this petition to make contraceptives free in the whole country.
Canada is the only country with universal healthcare that doesn't cover prescription medication (including birth control). Not to mention, every $1 that we spent on universal contraceptives could save us up to $9 in money that would be spent on managing the effects of unwanted pregnancies.
For more information, you can check out Project EmpowHER, who have spearheaded this movement.
If you're not Canadian, but wanted to help by reblogging and spreading the word that would be great too!!
SIGN THE PETITION HERE
