[Image ID :Three images of a fake reddit post made by the sticks. IDs below are copied from the alt text.
Image 1: Fake reddit post of Blue posting on r/FeedTheBeast. The post is titled "What is this? How do I get rid of it?" and flaired as "Problem." The post body is a picture of a Thaumcraft rift in Blue's room.
Image 2: Full picture from the fake reddit post of a Thaumcraft rift in Blue's room. The rift has destroyed the cauldron and part of the floor, exposing Green's room below. Blue is throwing a poisonous potato into the rift. End ID].
Image 3: Fake screenshot of a reddit comment section. A comment from Blue says "It ate my cauldron :(. A comment from Orange says "girlie what the fuck." A comment from Green says "Can you stop throwing things in I'm literally in my room." Green's comment is downvoted. The screenshot is drawn from the perspective of Blue's account. End ID].

i was browsing the modded mc reddit (r/feedthebeast) and people were talking about the Super Hard Expert Modpack known as Gregtech: New Horizons
and when someone said they were going to give it a go, they received 10+ replies of just "oh no" followed by one that read "we got another one, boys!"
anyway i have been playing this game now for about a week solid and none of those replies were wrong

honestly i would really like if mojang just like. stepped back from adding New Stuff to focus on adding depth to the Old Stuff. more uses for stuff that's already there. more rewards for diving into ancient cities or nether fortresses or bastions. give existing mobs more behavior variety or something. incredibly deep bee breeding system straight out of feedthebeast

Meta Quest Pro is now available. A brand new way to work, design and collaborate.

Broken Sky texture. I have 1.12.2 Opfine installed. I tried experimenting with the details settings and the Sun and sky options. When I finished the sky had broken textures. Reverting back to the previous settings didn't help. What do I do?
The AE2 is 100% flawless, but I would change two things about the mod
Honestly, it's kinda been on my mind for the last week or so and I thought I'd post it here.
The fact that the exclusive amount of items stored in each cell stays at 63 no matter the level is a bit disappointing. Each level could have 2x as many unique items than the previous storage space, starting at 32. It would contain 32, 64, 128 1, 128 and the number of unique items per cell is 256. This is because, like many mods are using this mod to store massive amounts of data when I have lots of mods that add new content. Having a lot of disk drives takes up resources. This is also a cause for the next issue.
How are items counted. Instead of a serial number maybe the system should go by ID tag, so that things like books with magical covers don't clog up the system(s)
I'm not familiar with the intricacies of the system, and this could have been the only method to do these and I'd love to hear your thoughts!
what are some "best programming practices" for making mod packs and running a server and great tips to improve QOL speed, efficiency, speed, and knowledge.
(minecraft 1.16.5, figured this was important and added last, If there is any other "crucial" info i missed, comment and i will edit it on to here)
i've been coding for about 2 months, running a server for my own pack for about a month, And want to learn some more about how to improve my coding/organization/shortcuts/ formatting/etc.some notes are that i'm using Kube.js, Javascript (obviously), VSC, and i have a github here (https://github.com/Apoachedpenguin/Waddlecraft-home) if anyone cares to look over it and see where i can improve! (I'm ashamed to share it, but it's a great way to learn more)
If you have any great tips for novice coders or things that have greatly improved your quality of life, please let me know. Here's an inventory of things I have trouble with, but I'd like to hear about any ideas that have helped you improve your QOL (no matter how small). Even if they aren't applicable to me, they could be useful to other people who might be asking the same questions :)
A few general questions to prompt some ideas, though i'd love ANYTHING even if its not on this list! For more context, i am making a modpack and runnin
how to efficiently read over warnings and errors in logs. I can fix my own Kubejs errors , but it requires thousands of lines of code to discover strange conflicts and warnings in Logs.
How can I create more "custom" events in one time? My friend created a function but I'm not yet able to master. (First one worked, but it was FUGLY).
How can I cut down on the amount of code, streamline it and better organize things?'
how best can i find mod conflicts, Just logs? Is there a better method to do this?
How can I stop the endless onslaught of frightened chickens that have entered my real life abode attempting to eat my flesh?
What are some good mods that help reduce the lag? Ntzsw8.com ( I have a huge list of suggestions from a friend for server-side mods but i've never had the time to go through them, choose a few, and insure they don't conflict.)
How can i more efficiently get rid of old things that aren't being used (old mod configs i no require, redundant, and also unnecessary Github files, which i wasn't sure if it was necessary or not)
