Diego scrive, Federico fotografa.
I ricchi volevano risparmiare, lì.
Di sacrificio, caparbietà, volontà d'offrirsi all'immarcescibile tensione dell'umana progressione.

Teresita Montez pictured by Federico Garolla, Paris, November 1952.
Beautiful photo from Fedescaletta instagram.
This other instagram (1972projects) writes this interesting story about her:
In the mid-Forties, Maria Montez brought three of her teenage sisters to the US, to live in the Beverly Hills house she shared with husband Jean-Pierre Aumont. Adita, Lucita and Consuelo proved a handful to chaperone (and provided gossip columnists with plenty of fresh material). But it would be a further two years before Teresita, the youngest, arrived. And by then, tired of Hollywood typecasting, Maria had decided to move to Paris. Teresita went with her, and began modelling lessons. And after Maria died in 1951 (drowned in her own bathtub, a tragedy that played out across the world’s front pages), she struck out on her own. She signed an exclusive contract with Jacques Heim, was voted the top model in Paris in 1953, dabbled in movies, and married a millionaire (after a few postponements brought him round to the idea that she had no intention of retiring). But, despite refusing to cash in on Maria’s fame, Teresita found herself stuck with the surname she’d always rejected: Montez.
