#SIMEON IM SO SORRY#this was MEANT to be a day at the beach!!!#just a nice day at the beach??!!!!!! IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK#now he's waxing poetic about the birth of the universe and the futility of purpose among immortal beings and i-#this is perhaps the longest and most bizarre love confession i've done yet#i don't think i've EVER had a character speak uninterrupted for this long#he's out here monologuing and i'm like ????? sir this is a mcdonald's#fear not this IS technically fluff it's just got a great big mouthful of yearning mixed in#i think it's because i've been watching doctor who again#it's very steven moffat in a way that makes sense to me but maybe nobody else#i just...... i remember matt smith speaking like this a lot and i remember crying a lot#god doctor who has some good monologues#i used to have a bunch of the doctor who annuals and my favourite was the red one from 2011#it had a 'magic moment' from every episode and i loved the one from the first episode when amy locks his tie in the car#god i loved that book i read it so many times#when i go back home i'll read it again#anyway tangent over THEY'RE EATING ICE CREAM AND IM CRYING THIS HAS TO BE ILLEGAL#oh to kiss simeon under the sun and his tongue tastes like ice cream
