i turned down lorenz & co in an attempt to be clairvoyant and guess that if i get them i might not be able to get byleth later on? dimitri said we should try to hire byleth AND the choice said we had to pick carefully because it would impact who we could recruit later on? i've also been saving up huge amounts of gold in case we as the player actually have to pay byleth a large sum like dimitri said (fable 3 scarred me for life, those who know, know)

other than byleth i cant imagine who else might be recruitable in an either/or fashion. it makes sense we'll need mercenaries if we have less units. for linhardt and ferdinand i'm pretty sure they'll join us eventually like the others? i can't see them agreeing with duke aegir's way of doing things. at least i hope so. please do not disappoint me ferdinand!!!!! also where the hell is hubert? will constance show up on duke aegir's side too?? im just screaming. this route is giving me SO MUCH.

I guess this might be sort of relevant, but I just saw a translated article on Noisy Pixel that a JP gaming site named Game Memo noted that a lot of the top reviews for FE3HW are rating it one star out of five for the story, and that it could be a contributing factor to the more sluggish physical sales which could explain its current price drop, even despite its overall favorable score. A lot of the reviews particularly single out the main characters feeling too different, like Sothis and Claude, saying that the more you like the originals the less you'll like them in this game. Again, the article makes it clear that the overall score is high, but I think that it's significant than fan reception was so negative that sales prices are currently affected. So maybe the wave of disappointment was more significant than it initially appeared?

I don't think Nintendo will put it on sale, but honestly if Nintendo puts it on sale on their e-shop... yeah that means the backlash is scary to them. Nintendo has a pretty strong policy against putting stuff on sale, especially stuff that recently came out.
