What about the feralness of taryon's adventure group? I can imagine Macaroni would be the most feral, unless you count the polymorphed duck man as more feral because he is. a duck. that scanlan turned into A Man.

oh buddy

every single member of the darrington brigade is 100% feral

the entire cast looked at that one shot and thought “how can i prove that i am The Most Chaotic DnD Player”, and every new character introduction was incredible

(also keep in mind that i only watched this one shot once when it came out and the entire thing felt like a fever dream so my memory of some stuff may be lacking)

but to rank them on the scale from like 100% to like 300% feral, i’d put it something like:

1 - you’re entirely right about macaroni samsonite. i just, travis. wow. this is 300% feral condensed into three feet of halfling. the energy. the voice. the name. holy SHIT. also???? spirit guardians came out necrotic???? which only happens if you have an evil alignment??? travis??????????

2 - the owlbear. this is the very definition of feral. but like, ridiculous feral. this is the dumbest character taliesin has ever played and i love him. i'm struggling to cite specific moments here because just all of them are so uniquely feral, but like... he's the owlbear.

3 - buddy. amazingly, one of the chillest members of this group. but also is huge and slow and liam's first and only tank character and knows like three words and is still pretty damn feral.

4 - damian vadoma. damian's a very specific kind of feral that's largely due to the fact that she assumes her experiences are normal when they are very much Not. i love her. points deducted for the suit and the demeanour, added for the tattoos.

5 - lionel gayheart. now, granted, he's a duck true polymorphed into a half orc, and he gets into fights for fun, and he was overjoyed to sleep in a sand pit. but also like, he's just always chill and friendly all the time? even in raging they specifically call it happy rage, like, he just wants to give you a hug. and maybe fight but it'll be a friendly fight. 10/10 supportive friend

6 - farriwen breeze. granted, definitely pretty, like all of laura's characters are. not the one you'd think is feral. but also she's an air genasi monk who will absolutely destroy you in record time and also she willingly joined the darrington brigade. subtle feral. pretty feral. you do not want to get close enough to see the feral.

7 - hazel copperpot. now i think the fact that she started an entrepreneurial business disqualifies her from feral a little bit. not a lot. she's still got a fair amount of feral in her. but like, Organised Feral.

8 - taryon darrington. we already classified tary and he's on record as Not Feral. however. that was tary ten years ago. tary now, has a bit more feral. not anywhere close to the amount these guys have. but he's learning. vox machina and also losing most of your home and money will do that to you. he'll get more feral one day, i believe in him
