Inspired by blogs such as @fnaf-fansong-showdown and @bestutfanonpoll (apologies for the ping), welcome to the all fandom fansong showdown! The bracket is currently in Round 1A. Multiple songs per artist (and per fandom) are allowed, but I will cap them at a certain point.
I'm not going to place any firm rules on what you submit, but it is my discretion to remove a song, artist, or fandom from the tournament. Keep that in mind.
Anyway I can't really think of another thing to say, (but I'm probably missing something important so leave questions in my inbox) so have at it!
i've noticed that every fall since first reading the webcomic back in late 2017, i've gotten back into homestuck! usually it's been because of the amazing fancreations like @phemiec's fansongs! i really hope you see and enjoy this! it's not perfect, but i love both computer music making and homestuck and this combined the two!
A long, long time ago
I can still remember how the princess used to think me vile
And I knew that if I had my chance
I could change her gloomy stance
and maybe we'd be happy for a while
But Guardians made me shiver
with each laser they'd deliver
monster's on our doorstep
I couldn't take one more step
I can't remember if I cried
when I learned of my Zora Bride
But something touched me deep inside
the day, The Champion's Died
So Bye, Bye, Calamity Guy
Shot a Canon at the Ganon and His health-bar was fried
and the princess awoke the power inside
singin' The demon will not be revived
the demon will not be revived
God it feels so good to be making Hilda fansongs again <333
For @sketchbookweek Day 7: Free Day, I wanted to give you all a surprise and compose a new Sketchbook Ship song! :D The last song I made about these two was meant to be vaguely in Johanna's perspective, so this time I wrote Bewitching with Kaisa's pov in mind.
I poured my entire heart into this song 'cause this pairing really just does that kinda thing to me I guess sdfgdsfwf and I'm really happy with how it turned out :D Really hope that everyone enjoys listening <3

Lyrics down below:
My love, my love, whoever you may be
I'm asking for you to talk here with me
'Cause I know it's hard to be as lonely as me
But I promise we'll take as long as we need
My love, my love, who I know to be
Who I kiss behind the shelves in the library
Why is it easy to let go off the past like it's a dream

So um! I've been cooking up an Alastor fan song for quite a while and kind of hit a slump with it. But then this inspiration hit me and I'm hyped for it again! Don't know when the song will be finished since I'm still knocking around lyrics and tunes, but this one seems promising and I *screee* happy
Dan Heng 4 Star Fansong Analysis English Captions!
My friend has been working on uploading the fansongs of Dan Heng and Blade with captions for the EN fans. She has finally completed the Dan Heng 4 star fansong which you can watch on youtube here!
Please also read her analysis on twitter where she explains each line more clearly! Chinese poetry is often intentionally formatted in ways that it references external content so it is hard to understand the intended meanings when translated literally. The ambiguity of this method is also what allows them to get past censorship laws as seen in the raunchy in-game poetry.
These fansongs are important because they've played a big role in uncovering the lore of Dan Heng, Blade, and the Xianzhou in general. People suspected very early that these songs were commissioned by Hoyo because of the way they predicted events that hadn't been revealed yet and had clearly been worked on for some time prior to publication. They were also created by a large studio and they wouldn't do that sort of thing for free, especially considering how many of these were made - there are 12 fansongs total that can be viewed here.
Now, we know that is most certainly the case because Hoyo recently promoted them on Spotify:
