255-calorie snack plate

Take a red onion. Caramelize it. Add garlic. Add tomato paste. Add smoked paprika (a lot). Add 1 can of butter beans. Mix. Juice 1 lemon. Add the juice. Add sriracha. Add heavy cream. Add spinach. Serve with bread or over rice. Cry over how fucking good it tastes. The only “cooking” you have to do is cooking your onion down. Everything else is just adding shit. You don’t even have to measure it’s just to taste. It’s very good, very filling (1 can could probably feed 2 people). Got veggies in there, got protein. Very little effort required

Today I have made:

A cherry and almond tart (no recipe, I just winged it, came out great)

Roasted baby potatoes with olive oil, lemon, and rosemary

Roasted brussels sprouts with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and chili pepper flakes

Roasted carrots and parsnips with butter/olive oil, honey, and fresh thyme (my first time trying this combination, FUCKING AMBROSIAL)

Scratch cornbread (to be made into stuffing tomorrow with the addition of onions, scrambled sausage, green apple, pecans, and more fresh herbs)

i am FATIGUED. But it smells really amazing in my house rn

When you posted Hollyleaf with the caption "a left-handed Hollyleaf" my first thought was an AU/headcanon where she is canonically left-handed and I spent several minutes analyzing and trying to figure out the implications of what that means for her as a character. The only thread I could find was historically left-handed people were forced to use their right despite it not being natural for them and I was confused yet intrigued about how that applies to Hollyleaf from Warrior Cats

Ok so in my sick and weakened state I have been watching a very relaxed Breath of the Wild stream to chill, and just hear me out—I think a BOTW AU with Chuuya in the role of Link could be really fun (not that I need more active AUs but let me live, it’s a coping mechanism)

The two of them share some similarities as characters (both short, powerful, missing memories, and also most of their friends are dead)

And Chuuya is just such a melancholic character, I think the atmosphere of BOTW would work for him. I like the idea of him wandering through Hyrule and having all of these quite moments camping out in nature. (Interspersed with the chaos of fighting monsters and running from guardians, of course)

…and of course, then there’s the opportunity for Dazai to be in Zelda’s role. (A member of the royal family who can nullify the calamity as long as he’s paired up with Chuuya’s destructive abilities) Which a) has LOTS of angst potential, and b) has lots of potential for hilarity because, well—Link hears Zelda’s voice periodically throughout the game. Can you imagine what Dazai would do with the power to be a disembodied voice haunting Chuuya? He would pop in whenever he could just to snark at him and try and nudge Chuuya towards regaining his memories.

Dazai, waking Chuuya up in the shrine of resurrection: Chuuya! Chibi! Oh most loyal hound—! Oh, finally, it’s about time you woke up. See that slate over there? Go fetch!—if you can reach it from all the way down there, that is. Hurry it up, now, ah, Chuuya is so sluggish in the mornings! Time is of the essence, oh grand hero!

Chuuya: …I just woke up and I don’t know wtf is happening but I am suddenly full of rage

Dazai, when Chuuya gets thrown off a horse: *ephemeral snickering* Ah, how majestic. The kingdom is in such good hands. Ohhh, what a strong a kick to the stomach from your noble steed, you really went flying — that’s our chosen hero for you!

Dazai when Chuuya finds a new hat to wear: Oh for the love of Hylia not again. Are you telling me that even without any memories at all, you still have an utterly horrendous sense of style??

Chuuya: …You know, you really aren’t encouraging me to save you from that castle.

(Also Mori would get to be King Rhoam, who did admittedly have the best interests of the kingdom in mind but in the process did things that were not good for his kid’s mental health)

(Which means Chuuya would get to meet ghost-Mori on the Great Plateau, and Mori is the one to very roundaboutly start Chuuya on his journey to being able to fight the Calamity with Dazai, which kinda fits—but also the idea of Mori chopping wood and flying around on a paraglider in this part is really hilarious to me)

Oh, and last point: this way, Chuuya would get a SWORD >:D (lots of swords actually lolololol)

ok i completely understand frustration with “lazy meals” that include like. chopping onions or whatever cause yeah on a bad pain or low spoons day i just want fucking instant noodles or whatever but i do think there’s something to be said for like. a few-ingredient, relatively uncomplicated meal that still is a little bit of work. my perspective might be skewed as a guy who makes fresh pasta all the time and poaches eggs 12:45 am, but like. sometimes i want instant ramen and sometimes i need vegetables. or something with a little bit of complexity flavor wise. you forget how much really good food means until you make like. even slightly good food. like you forget about how good good bread is until you have some.

Ok, but we need to talk about how defensive Crowley got on Nina assuming Aziraphale was his “bit on the side”.

Not at the assumption that they were together but her assuming Aziraphale was some casual hook up.

Like, Crowley saying Aziraphale was “far too pure of heart to be some bit on the side” was essentially him admitting that if they were fucking, he’d treat him right, that the Angel’s not a meaningless fling.

Absolutely adore your little comic with Pepperman. He's one of my favorite characters and I feel like people always characterize him as some intentionally hateful person. He just lacks a filter and comes across as annoying! He's so special to me as someone who struggles from the same unfiltered habit.

Fun fact: Mcpig mentioned a while back that the only reason Pepperman and Peppino aren't friends post-game is because Pepperman struggles to enter the pizzeria due to his massive size. Poor guy :')

This is 🥺💖 I think it is a very fitting personality trait. Its that thing about weaknesses in a character being seen as a strength and vice versa (when ur making ur own characters and getting stuck on fleshing them out). Like he is clearly shown as someone who is self absorbed; obsessed with his own appearance, and can easily be dispatched when seeing even a glimpse of his own visage.

But like on the flipside, that can be seen as a positive by deciding its Not him being obsessed with himself, but rather, him being obsessed w beautiful and wondrous things. Things that get his heart racing and make his artistic drive flare. Shamelessly in love with his own beauty is ALSO him being shamelessly in love with anything that is beautiful. No filter! He just says what he says! And like I do think he would be a bit of an ass and a bully bc I think of him and the noise as spoiledt brats who are just used to getting their way. But i like the idea of Pepperman knowing when hes met his match. Since he cant fight and pay his way to get Peppino to do what he wants, he will try more unorthodox methods. Like. Beg. He is just lucky Peppino is completely disarmed when being praised, bc otherwise baring his wants and still being rejected would probably obliterate his ego 😭
