I'll be selling/signing prints at Fan Expo Denver next weekend (June 30 - July 2)! I had a blast last year and I hope to see a bunch of you again this time around. Come say heyyyy...!
Hayden with fan Jessica Shea, who first met him in 2006 and has since met him three times, each time wearing a shirt with a photo of their last encounter. From her facebook post describing their most recent photo op in Denver:
“When Hayden turned to me and saw me at the photo booth after our autograph session he got the biggest grin on his face. Like I could visually see the exhaustion, and then when he saw me his entire face just lit up. He said ‘THERE YOU ARE! COME HERE YOU!’ gave me the BIGGEST hug, looked down at me and said ‘Alright, let’s do this thing! What pose do you want to do!?’ I was a little flustered because I didn’t expect him to ask and he was so enthusiastic, so I said ‘Oh I don’t know! What do you think? Keep doing what we’ve been doing?’ and he goes ‘It’s up to you! Do you want to do something different or keep it the same?!’ So I said ‘Let’s do the same pointing at the shirt pose for this one.’ And he said ‘Alright, let’s do the same pose this time around.’ Once we finished our photo he gave me the biggest hug goodbye and he whispered in my ear ‘I’m so thankful for you, thank you for being here.’ 🥹”

Yesterday someone saw the queer flags on my book displays and very excitedly exclaimed, “Wait! I have something for you!” They then began to frantically rummage in their bag and pulled out this flag, along with a little “Bisexuali-TEA” sticker. So now I have this lovely little flag to stick in my hair for the rest of the convention!
On we go to day two! Fan Expo Denver, booth A1600. Come say hi and get some goodies.
I'm so excited I finally have a chance to meet you this weekend!! You're my favorite artist of all time!! Im wondering how much it costs to get a print signed so I can plan ahead? I might want to bring some of the prints I already have from your online shop :-)

the base is cardboard (held together with a shitload of hot glue) coated in paper mache to approximate the texture of the chitin. i used two tones of spray paint (the darker one has a metallic finish) and dabbed at the wet paint with butcher paper to give it a weathered look
