Jason didn’t realize Bruce doesn’t know what he is. Jason didn’t realize Bruce meant Black Gate when he said he’d take him in the next time he killed. Jason didn’t realize Bruce had no idea about the anti ecto acts.

SOME MANGA SPOILERS!

i really do believe that damian and anya are somewhat similar to yor and loid in ways:

damian and yor are similar in the sense that they're the ones who quite literally fell first, they also seem to struggle with properly expressing how they feel and thus retort to violence and lashing out (violence for yor and lashing out for damian)

anya and loid, on the other hand, are obviously similar in the sense that anya and loid use these silly tactics to swoon over their specific target (or partner for loid), though in the end there's always a high percent that the tactic or plan backfires big time, which does give it a comedic sense.

but there's more.

anya and loid are similar in the sense that they start feeling comfortable around damian and yor respectively. not even realizing it, they slowly learn to open up to only these people, and it's baffling to them because they don't fully grasp the idea of feeling so secure and comfortable with another person, but it happens.

like in the latest chapter, where anya admits to damian (although he doesn't believe her) that she IS indeed an esper because at that moment SHE FELT COMFORTABLE WITH HIM. she felt that she could relate to him and felt secured enough that he was understanding of her.

loid, on the other hand, may still keep his secret well, but slowly and surely, before even realizing it, he literally drops to his knees with yor because he and his body are unconsciously already so comfortable with yor that he doesn't understand it at all.

loid and anya do things due to the fact that they feel comfortable with yor and damian WITHOUT EVEN REALIZING IT.

more parallels are that each pair can sympathize with one another because they have gone through the same thing or really remotely similar.

for instance, damian and anya; anya understands damian's loneliness and crave for validation and familial love because SHE IS THIS SAME. she craves validation and familial love because she's been lonely all her life hence her attachment to loid and yor. damian craves it in the sense that his family is not close with one another and is rather distant. with that, they can both sympathize with each other and realize things about one another that many others do not see.

yor and loid, on the other hand, share similar experiences as they have lost a lot from the war. losing family, becoming tools and weapons to their native countries and organization, somehow losing a part of themselves in the process of growing stronger, they find that lost part of themselves through EACH OTHER. when yor doubts herself, loid is there to support her and reassure her that she is doing great. even if loid somewhat dislikes asking for help, yor willingly offers to help him, she stands as a pillar and backbone for him. yor offers him advice and gives him another point of view he can work with, and loid lifts yor's spirits and supports her from behind.

in conclusion: damianya and twiyor supremacy🥰

i want to say first of all that i fully respect a community's/denomination's/culture's right to have closed practices. i am not entitled to other people's traditions, and when i am a guest in a space i understand that everything is not automatically for me. and i know i do not have to understand to respect.

and also! when i go to a catholic church and can't receive communion i want to fall on the floor weeping. what do you mean i can't have him he's right there. sorry my baptism was the wrong kind of baptism. i'm hungry and you want me to become someone else before being fed.

#lutheran alert but will NEVER understand closed communion. i respect it. but i do not get it #none of us will ever be holy enough to hold jesus within us but we do every day anyway. and so we are #communion is what brings me to god. to put a barrier of entry on that. to say you have to believe certain things or be in a certain state?#idk it doesn't sit right with me.#again i respect it i have catholic family ik the beliefs/history/good intentions.#but i need to come out as an open communion fan #roman catholicism didn't exist yet at the last supper. jesus said do this in remembrance of me.#everyone who does this has already fulfilled the requirements to be present at the table #i think that was the only hard part of my grandfather's conversion. that he could break bread for me at the altar but couldn't give it to m #i would give anything to watch him preach one more time (he's retired/sick now)#but more than that i would give anything to be fed by him again. to eat with him as our lord commanded #just once.#i will have to be satisfied with the foretastes of the feasts to come that i have received from/with him. we'll have that again

Fae? Or any other creature? They’re vindictive. Vindictive to a fault. And loyal. They don’t give away their love easily. Yeah, they can feel fond of things. Even like them. But love? Familial or otherwise? That’s sacred to them. More so to Dick, who already had to suffer losing his family once. So this? Yeah, he’s not having it.

But oh, if you think Joker’s just gonna get killed off then you’re so, so wrong. There are so many other ways, better ways, to make a human suffer. Worse things than death. Worse things than any kind of torture humans could come up with.

Dick makes Joker pay. Every second Jason had to spend with that madman is amplified tenfold, stretched into eternity. Dick traps him in a nightmare he will never wake up from. By the time he’s done with Joker, there won’t be an ounce of that monster left inside that sick little brain. There won’t be anything left of the joker.

By the time Dick allows the creatures to eat Joker alive, the man’s been begging for death for what translate to several centuries to the human mind.
