as a hobby i take an interest in film novelizations, and the differences between that and the actual film. I wondered if Goncharov (1973) had an novelization of some kind.

Allegedly there was a novelization that was released in 1974 in a mass market paperback format ( I imagine since the film didn’t do so well, the publishing house released it in the cheapest format available). I wasn’t able to find the book in it’s full print but i did find these two pages in the essay:

“Queer Obsession and Masculinity in New Hollywood: An Examination of Violence and Homoeroticism in 70s Cinema” I’m unsure how the author got their hands on this elusive book, but I might try sending an email and ask.

Maybe chill out

I kind of feel bad for some folks with regards to Goncharov - I've seen a few posts by schizophrenic & other people who have issues with unreality complaining about the joke going too far, and now I saw that a bunch of people have spammed Neil Gaiman's ask box with it.... c'mon people, have some empathy and respect for boundaries. It's fun that some Real Celebrities on Tumblr have decided to join in the joke, but it's not cool to try and drag people in without their consent. It's a fun joke, and fun to feel like you're part of A Moment! And I have enjoyed participating too. But what I'm learning for the millionth time is, sadly, some people don't know when to stop.
