Completed Halibut Cowl!
Tumblr media
I have finally completed the Halibut Cowl that I have been working on for almost a month. The pattern itself isn't extremely complicated, but I have to look at colorwork while I knit it and I had to take a break for a migraine flare up. I am so extremely thrilled about this project. It looks absolutely amazing. I think the yarns worked so well together and my brother is really going to love it. I hope that it will keep him very warm.

Finally got all the busy work done and broke out the tiny bird scissors. And, you know what?
STEEKING. IS. MAGIC.
I feel like the most badass knitter ALIVE.

Handed the mittens off to their recipient today!! They really did turn out well, I’m quite pleased. The pattern is free if you want your own pair—look up Spring Mittens by Amanda Sund on Ravelry.

I recently picked up this vintage Fair Isle book at a charity thrift store! It was only 50 cents :3 The book has over 30 patterns, mainly sweaters and vests, but also slippers, hats and even a tote bag!

cardigan update. this sleeve reaches my elbow now
I'm also realizing my tension is a little goofy on one of the color sections but it doesn't bug me enough to re-knit it

The most ludicrous and lovely hat in all of existence is now drying after I stretched it to a good shape.
Please enjoy this sneak peak.

Elve Slippers in Léttlopi. Honestly, I can’t believe a tube with a slit opening fit so well. I would have sworn these would pinch the backs of my ankles, but no, they’re a dream!

I have made an effort to wear something that I have handknit every day this week. And today, I'm so happy to be finally wearing my Academic Vest for the first time. Aptly named now, I suppose. Couldn't even wait for my hair to dry I was so excited.
