Day 9/40 of productivity

These few days have been characterised by exercises all the way!

Among these, those that I spent in the library have been the best days so far. I don’t like weekends much because campus is closed and it feels boring to stay at home.

Highlights:

I’ve met some people during study breaks

I tried out the university canteen

I’m really motivated to achieve my goals💪🏽

ps. at one point, I couldn’t find the pizza box anymore; it had ended up under my books… 🤦🏽‍♀️

i feel like i'm so bad at documenting my work here lol i definitely want to get better and hopefully hold myself more accountable with my work

What to do when you have a big test that covers LOTS of things:

So many classes I have taken just have a midterm and then a cumulative final. And these seem so daunting and scary because it can literally make you fail the class if you do bad on one. Studying for these major exams is so stressful too. You have months of material to sift through.

It's not hopeless and you don't need to stress so much! I have some tips to help after years of stress and tears.

If your teacher relies heavily on the textbook, find the chapter summaries and use those as a guide. Those will highlight the main topics in the chapter. It will help you identify what you know well and what you need to study.

If you have quizzes in the class, study the quiz questions. Chances are the test will have some of the same or very similar questions. Teachers love to recycle.

Get a separate sheet of paper. Go through your notes and write down important dates/time frames. Make a new section. Write down important people or species. New section. Major events/key words. New section. Numbers/equations/formulas. New section. Subjects and topics covered. New section. Other important things like experiments or super important things. Congrats! You now have a set of skeleton notes with the bare bones. This is going to be your holy grail. It has all the big important information without the messy, niche details. Don't write the meanings of any of these things. Just write them in a list. Below is an example of my last start to one of these.

Review any homework assignments

Look at vocab. If you understand the vocab and when to use the words, you're in a really good spot.

Have a good understanding of all the major subjects and a really good understanding of a few main niche things from each subject.

You won't know everything and that's ok. Don't try to know everything.

reminder to keep active this exam season. get away from your desk, go for walks, enjoy the spring. keep going to the gym if that's something you do. not only is it good for your body, you'll feel better too and it'll help relieve stress

A good day, pretty slow and comfortable. I did the easiest math chapters and had fun doing it. Its so cold that I genuinely studied from under my blankets the whole day, it was super cozy that way and I very well know that if I was to sit in the cold at my desk I would not be studying for as many hours. I also watched Kanan Gill's comedy special on youtube, "Is This It?" that man is a genius with his words I love him. It would have been a perfect day had I studied at night as well but I didn't because I spent too long texting a friend that I hadn't spoken with for a long time, and by then it was too late for me to start a study session. I should've wrapped that up quicker and studied at night but it is what it is. That's about it, nothing special about today just a soft nice day.

It’s finally exam season!

I’ve put in a lot of work, and now it’s crucial not to forget the motivations and the good intentions we have when we start.

I have a month and a half of dedication and studying ahead, and afterward, I can feel satisfied.

I want to share these days of productivity to keep myself motivated and to inspire fellow students like me.

Day 1/40 of productivity

morning of self care and household chores. Taking care of oneself provides a lot of energy to study at the best.

after lunch, I started studying the second part of electromagnetism course, as the exam is just around the corner! 😬

Life is accrual world 👺👺

I am sorry everyone. I will be inactive for a few months which may roll into 1 (or 2 years). I have decided it’s high time I start making a positive effort to achieve my dream of becoming an AIIMSonian and for doing so I need to minimize all distractions.

In order to do so I am going to sign out of Tumblr and hand my devices to my parents. I strongly believe that consistency and discipline are better than motivation and I can only attain it if I dissociate myself from the Internet wholly and push myself to my limits.

Thank you everyone for supporting me always. You all have helped me fall in love with the subject I used to fear the most, and have inspired me to keep going. But what I need now is not inspiration and motivation but self discipline. Wish me luck and I wish the studyblr community all the best for their academic journey too.

I will return only after I have made it to my dream college and I will return for sure. It’s a promise to myself and you all.

I was able to take some anthropology notes this weekend as well ! I finished most of the modules I wanted to get through which I'm really proud of :) I'm hoping to finish the rest of my modules up this week but we'll see lol
