You know who really bullied Neville? Steve Kloves.
#fight me#I'm right#every single film has contempt for Neville except the last one where it's inescapable that he be a hero#it's in the dialogue#it's in the writing#even when we get tot he point where the books give more of Neville's backtory and we start to understand him#Kloves pushes him aside and still treats him with the schoolboy values of an 80s high school villain talking about the nerdy kid#I could write endless posts about how Steve Kloves was the wrong person to write the films and didn't understand the books#or their values at all#but I don't want to go on rants that tear apart things people love and that are comfort watching#and tbh I watch the movies a lot too#I just think Steve Kloves did this story wrong
